  3. A young man and former student of the Brasca sits within his home reading over the analysis of Man, some ideas new, some old. Dante mostly found a headache, stemming either from deep thought or the bottles of cinnamon whiskey he was working his way through. One way or another he would reach the bottom. Be it bottle, prophecy, or antiprophecy.
  4. Dante Felipe Carnelle sits at a table, reading over the missive from his friend. His quill hangs over a sheet of paper to send a letter but no words come to him, so he just sits silently imagining a better world.
  5. In the Carnelle villa there sat a young child, a scion of the next generation reading over a missive, meant for his father. Dante Felipe Carnelle read of the Emperor's demise and a tear rolled down his face. The Emperor was gone. What did this mean for Imperium? The child slowly shambled their way across the city until he found himself in the chapel. The child fell to his knees and began to pray for the Emperor's soul, and the health of the new Emperor.

  8. The Belethian Surrender and Final Orders to House Rovare The Surrender of Beleth I, Peter Grayson Rovare, hereby formally and irrevocably dissolve Beleth, the Belethian Federation, and all royal and sovereign titles associated with such. The titles of Eicheria, Anatis, Ipanema, Southspire, Huntshill, and all other titles claimed by House Rovare and any sworn to them are completely and irrevocably passed onto Hadrian I, the true and rightful Holy Imperator of Mankind. The Eicherians formerly and openly acknowledge the betrayal of the Imperium, and our folly in this matter. We have misplaced our trust, and put the pursuit of power over our honor and families. I, Peter Rovare, beg the Emperor’s forgiveness for my people and descendants, and shall present myself to the headsman’s axe so that I might begin to repent. To the Remaining Rovares My last advice to my descendants. I have lived a long life, and occupied many roles, not all of them good or honorable as you may well know. With this lifespan, I have come to the conclusion, that power corrupts. The pursuit of power makes thee forget where one comes from, and causes you to put aside your principles and family for the sake of preserving and growing this strength. There was a time when we marched under the Imperial Banners and enjoyed the prosperity and protection that provided, we were sheltered beneath the Langkette Mountains, defended by the Imperial Union that we had fought to see realized. As we sheltered beneath the banner, I began to take the shade for granted. I saw the shade but not the dragon which provided it. The House of Rovare ruled fertile lands, a castle, and a thriving village but I was not satisfied. I was unable to prove satisfied. Eventually, I retired to try and fade into obscurity, still nursing my unfounded bitterness. When Adonis died before his time, and the ship was left without direction, I returned to the helm, only to find that in my pain for Adonis, I could not bring myself to spend the time with what family I had left. I grew obsessed with elevating myself supposedly for their sake. Thus led us into this folly, were we aligned ourselves with old enemies, pagans, and bandits so that we might have a chance for our ‘time in the sun’. Now as we stand in ruin, I offer some advice to those of you who might survive this deal; your family is always the most important thing around you. A rapid rise comes without foundation, to rely on unsure allies as a source of power is my greatest polity. When I led the Eicherians south, we found ourselves amongst Balianites and Ipanemans, and tried to integrate at the costs of the identity that had brought us prosperity. We entered this war without institution nor fervor. We fought our brothers in GOD over the matter of where the number of Exalted was 3 or 4, and in this fight against our brethren, we aligned ourselves with those who hate our GOD and his followers. On the High Seat My instructions on the succession. I will keep this part brief, as this is like to be ignored by many, however I feel the need to offer this advice. Do not choose a new high seat of the house until the war is over. When the bloodshed is finished, convene all who remain of reasonable intelligence, who hold to Canonism, and who have not aligned themselves with the old enemies. Come together and choose whom you believe will truly provide the best chance of leading the House of Rovare to salvation and prosperity once more with a level head. GOD forgive me and protect those who remain. Peter Grayson Rovare

  10. 269 SA It is with a heavy heart, that I must look upon the state of the continent of Azuras, and see enemies, not in the Imperium of Man and its vassals, but rather the red daemons in the sky. These celestial beings band together and suppress the rights of the descendant races to declare war, found realms, and fight our own battles. Thus, it is my duty as a GOD fearing Canonist to take a stand. Thus, Beleth shall march to war against the Red Menace. Should the rest of the world follow us, excellent. If not, we shall stand alone. 12. The Royal Response to the Second Edict of Huntshill Concerning the latest edict published by the Prince of Huntshill. The Crown wishes to provide reassurance to the Peers of the Realm that this missive is neither endorsed nor allowed. An official Royal Statement upon the matter, as well as official clarification as to the Royal stance on naval policy and courtesy/heir titles, will be made. The Prince of Huntshill is reminded that he is not exempt from the requirement of petition when making official statements representing the crown. SIGNED, HIS ROYAL MAJESTY, Peter I, Diarch Indivisum of Beleth, Archduke of Eicheria, Prince of the Stars, Lord Paramount of the Blood, High Seat of House Rovare, and Warden of the River Eicher
  13. My public facing reply to this entire debate, is that we need staff to make a mechanical way to have ships work. Its been so long that the naval theater has been ignored and it makes me sad. However, should @Werew0lfbe interested, I would gladly have a sit-down with him and his naval peeps, along with the Dwarves so that we can all agree on how we want the naval aspects of this conflict to proceed. Perhaps with some precedents set and some user data on different approaches, we can actually develop a system for a real naval war. I get that it's not the easiest way to fight this conflict, however, the easy way isn't always the best way, or the way that is most conducive to proper and meaningful RP. If we want to do this the easy, 1v1 on Rust?
  14. The Diarch-Indivisum, Peter I, read over his own copy of the missive from his own desk, deep within the Gwendolyn Palace. "The Princesses do well, perhaps, some discomfort might be suffered for the learning, though society has never been great simply by pursuing the easy way."
  15. The Diarch sits in his office within the Palace of Gwendolyn, massaging his temples before looking up to the 2 Knights guarding the door, Sers Rhaegar and Duncan @Javert @BlushedRiver77" I already told those 2 to cease their bickering, let us drag them to trial." He then begins to pen a missive. To All Citizens of the Belethian Federation and Allied States who may be concerned by this matter, Any attack on either Celia or Mister O'Murphy is directly discouraged by the crown, unless necessary for de-escalation and self-defense. Both parties are then summoned to stand trial before the Crown on charges of disturbing the peace, as well as any other charges that may arise from the discovery of these crimes. Beleth is a realm of law and peace; the nobility and knights of the realm are expected to detain these individuals and ensure they are brought before the crown for trial. No entity other than the Crown of Beleth shall be permitted to render judgment under these crimes. Glory to the Oak and Star, His Royal Majesty, Peter I, Diarch-Indivisum of Beleth, Archduke of Eicheria, etcetera.
  16. Peter reads the missive over a cup of tea, rather unbothered. "Whoever this is, I'll give 200 minas for their head. I think they're from the Empire?" He says idly, wondering when so-called nobles got so cheap.
  17. 9TH OF First Seed, 612 E.S. [Era of Sigismund] On the continent of Azuras, with its bloated nobility, decentralized militaries, and heavy tensions among the various races and faiths, it has become increasingly difficult for those down on their luck to prove themselves and secure their families, friends, and peoples. It is with this that we of Beleth find the mission of our People and Nation at its most important, for we must reassure the fact that ALL are welcome within Beleth. Especially those who come with the intent to make something of themselves in the land of opportunity. And thus, comes the Settlement of the Banners Act. This missive does not apply to existing nobility or gentry; they may approach the Diarch directly for more favorable terms. The Settling of the Banners Act To aid in the conflicts currently facing Beleth, and serving the dual purpose of settling the countryside, boosting population, and housing those who share in Beleth’s values and virtues, the Crown of Beleth has seen fit to enact a decree, offering any being of repute who bring 3 or more [Not including themselves] individuals (either willing to follow them to Beleth, or a part of their family coming to Beleth) to come before the Diarch or his appointed representatives and petition for settlement rights in the Belethian Countryside—contingent, of course, on certain requirements and tax obligations. Privileges and Progression To precede the requirements, shall first come the actual benefits and rewards of the offer, to justify the terms that follow. The Privileges and Terms of Swearing To Beleth: The head of the group or house will be inducted into the Lower Gentry as the seat of their House or Group, thereby entitled to a seat within the Lower Assembly, for the duration of their life, and assuming continued service, this honor can be considered hereditary, or even upgraded to a Baronetcy (or Landed Knighthood) of the Upper Gentry. The party in question shall be entitled (upon completion of their first engagement) to a piece of land, 25x25 in size, on which they may raise a manor, tower, ranch, or farm for their use and residence. (Farms and Ranches may petition the Minister of the Interior or Archchancellor for further pasture and field land, to be shared with other nearby gentrymen) The leader of the party may themself become, or may appoint a member of the party to interview for the position of Corporal within the Belethian Federal Army, directly in charge of commanding and organizing the members of the party, and allowing for further advancement. All members of a party shall be assumed to meet the prerequisites for Knighthood, and thus can be Knighted upon exceptional valor or actions within their service. Parties with 10 or more members may directly petition the Diarch regarding a higher position, more land, or other arrangements to ensure their proper assimilation and recognition within Beleth. The Crown’s Bounty: Alongside the above-mentioned terms, His Serene Highness has issued a challenge to all who take the deal. Those who swear to the oaths will be watched closely for the duration of their contracts and service, and if they show exceptional valor, they will be ranked among their peers. This ranking shall carry for the duration of the conflicts to come, and any who have not already ascended by the end of the conflicts will be rewarded with lands, honors, titles, or otherwise based upon their rank and contribution. Including at least 1 Earldom to be distributed to the Houses with the most contributions. Requirements and Obligations A generous deal must, of course, come with terms and obligations, for Beleth is a society of meritocracy, where any being of any race or faith can climb high so long as they display the aptitude and dedication; thus, such grants of land and status must hold justification. Such will be as follows: Upon acceptance of the terms, the parties and their representative will swear the Military Oath of Beleth, and sign an official contract of the terms. Land shall not be dispersed to the party in question until at least 4 members have been seen participating in engagements, or 3 appearances from at least 2 members. Upon receiving land, the party will pay taxes and tithes in line with that defined for gentry titles (25 minas per year, along with a bushel of metal or leather) All members of the party are expected to be contributing citizens of Beleth, but may retain their own cultures and faith, and may petition to be released of their obligations upon the end of conflict. SIGNED, HIS SERENE HIGHNESS, Peter I, Diarch of Beleth, Archduke of Eicheria, Prince of the Stars, Lord Paramount of the Blood, High Seat of House Rovare, and Warden of the River Eicher IGN: Based1Salmon Discord: Based1Salmon [For letter inquiries]
  18. The Old Enemy in question sat in the Ducal Palace, sipping a cup of tea, writing out his private congratulations to the new Lord and Lady Perduran. Taking a moment to appreciate the fact that, despite the conflict embroiling the world, the little moments were still allowed to happen. The people moved on with their lives, and the Diarch would ensure Beleth's survival, for the hope of more such moments, even if his own were long turned to ash.
  19. As this all transpires, the Archduke of Eicheria laughs reading the missive as the Belethians prepare for war around him. Halberds are being sharpened, cannons polished, and mages being drilled. The humans of the Horde prepared for war, and to remind the Darkspawn that the spirit of humanity remained strong. "Let them come, and let them die. We do not fear the Darkspawn." The Lord comments idly, hoping for a good fight.
  20. The Archduke of Eicheria read the missive with mild amusement as Bluecloaks and mages swarmed around him, preparing for war. For the first time in nearly 30 years, the Archduke was facing a threat he could fight dirty against, and he intended to ensure the Darkspawn knew of Star's guidance by the end of this conflict, even if he must purchase more cannon powder and halberds. There was room in the budget.
  21. The Lord of Eicheria sits in his tent reading the missive, before cracking his knuckles. Ready to show some Darkspawn the light of all 4 Exalted.
  22. The aging Count of Stirland and Lord of the Stars sat in his keep reading over the missive, mulling over a choice, the scroll of auspice sat upon his shelf, eyeing him as he watches the faithful march for the preservation of the Exalted. "Blood for Ashford"
  23. Holy Ser Peter Rovare stands atop the walls of Castle Haldeberg, watching the assembling force preparing to storm the keep of the Flamekeepers, augmented by Imperial Levies. He finds himself disgusted by the lack of Godliness, the corruption of not just the Imperium, but his own home, the land he had shepherded for decades now. The betrayal stung, his old bones sinking with the melancholy of loss once more as he mounts his horse, letting Ser Caspian lead the collum as he thinks through the search and hunt, ready to purge the false idols from his land. "Gentlemen, it is time to take cleanse our land of this heresy, and erect a monument to our Lord GOD, so that he might forgive us for allowing it to exist in the first place"
