"Mistakes of the past are mistakes of the past," Hummed Sir Rudolf Barclay as he prepared to end the day with Canonist prayer, as ever he had, albeit secretly, while pondering on the day's events. "We best learn from them and move on to the future. One Canonist Church, under which all rites might congregate, past tribulations or no," Lighting some votive candles before he began. Three for the known Exalted, and one for the one still to come. "The Lucienists have truly made a mess of the last two generations. And left wounds on the Church that only divine mercy could ever hope to heal," He pondered on. Gone then to light the last of the votive candles he had intended to. These being dedicated to a plethora of saints. "I am glad, if anything, that I can at least express it properly without being denied the sacraments - Owynist myself or no - as they were so eager to," He slowly came to a conclusion, lighting the final of his set of votive candle for the day after. This last being dedicated to Saint Sigismund. "It is ironic. Much as we Owynists and Sigismundites have been at eachother's throats, the Lucienists have brought about an unique situation.." He actually concluded now. "Indeed, with their continued recklessness and swordtaking to our Church they have somehow, by bringing it so low, managed to endanger both." Then thereafter content to begin with prayer. For the purity of the faith, the present Church, the Empire, etc.

"Were it that this Church had any semblance of legitimacy and spiritual authority, then assuredly, this would have been most grievous," Hummed one Sir Rudolf Barclay within the privacy of his own home, rambling to himself, as he was prone to on occasion, "Though thankfully it has neither. Though I s'ppose tis up to the Chief of Chiefs whether or not he means to indulge in this all the same." His final thoughts on the matter - before returning to his duties - at least a little bit more neutral. "Eh, false faith or no, at least the Halfling has conviction. He deserves that acknowledgement, at the least."

Sir Rudolf Barclay lamented the passing of his father greatly. And though he was thankful death had taken him in old age, and after a life well lived as Rodimar the Chieftain reborn, rather than before his time as many of that generation in which he had been born had received from fate, was sure to continue to miss him bitterly in the years to come. Hope all neglected ban appeals will be checked as well, and that come the future there'll b AT LEAST the occasional every few months update on what admins are actually up to. wish admins wld just have the common sense to grasp that the problem lies with their conduct and the systems surrounding them, and not their teams, as well as that fixing all of this could be as simple as altering those somewhat. All the insistence on muh meetings and muh unanimity (which is rarely ever reached because they behave like toddlers and hold petty grudges against eachother if forum outrage stories are to be believed, and good luck in that case, because that means subject XYZ is pretty much indefinitely condemned to admin hell) and muh admin permission while simultaneously ((and this is the most cancerous thing of them all)) giving people like zero clarity on anything because they never communicate are the real issues with the server that needs their pondering and addressing if their job is supposedly to 'plan 10 years ahead'
could legit be as simple as requiring only a two people majority for things to pass and freeing staff of being so overly dependent on them and starting to communicate clearly every few months or so on what has all happened throughout that time and what they're all working on, as well as promising to have all ban appeals with reached appeal dates that requires their looking over answered by the end of next week at the latest idk
also like, man, totally respectable Josh is very busy IRL and would prefer to focus on his real work and whatnot, and on that he's totally right, but it seems like a thing of common sense that if you can't put in the time anymore you should just step down. same thing with whatever tyrant sits on CT right now, literally just pass the thing over to whoever you deem worthy of being the new CT Admin instead of holding onto it as though you're ******* Gollum trying his hardest not to let go of the One Ring even though it brings you nothing but suffering?? wasn't it literally promised whoever has it now would only hold it temporarily? not sure about the last part tbh -

Did they ever actually use the 1939 version of the Iron Cross? I'm personally guessing they didn't because the only real notable difference between pre- and post-nazi iron crosses are that the Nazi ones have a giant swastika on the center- and I feel like that would've caused a lot more commotion. Rather hard to miss. I swear their inspiration had just very innocently been Warhammer and that the critique given was massively undeserved and overblown. I guess I could be wrong though -
