  1. Knox, sitting in his elf-cave within Ironguard reads the parchment. "Hopefully he'll be alive to claim it" he chuckles, thinking of Orin. Liam cannot read Leon gives a smile in his room and lets out a small sigh. A thoughtful break from what happened to the poor bear...

    A Man of Peace

The halls once filled thousands of men and women too,
Now left with only a hundred and of them, brave is few
    As  they march against
    With deadly intent
And yet the cold wind blows

    Screams of wounded, injured, dying
Silenced by mortars, gunfire and shelling
    He was a man
    Who just worked the land
and yet the cold wind blows

His brothers lay in the blood red sand
as he is shipped home to an unknown land
    His mother sobbing
    His father digging
and yet the cold wind blows

    Ten years back
    But never home
and yet the cold wind blows.

    At the bridge
    He questions life
and the cold wind blows no more

  6. So, I've made a number of posts hinting at my moderation application in hopes some will see and put in a comment including: A profile update "... while you're here, maybe take a look at my Moderator Application.....", An Ask Me Anything, and generally talking about it with a couple of players. I don't want to throw it in someone's face or ask for "blind praise" on a post, especially one that has to do with the governing of LOTC and its players, but I'm out of ideas. Please, if you have any ideas on something I can write, a topic I could make a post about, or anything else, please reply to this or DM me at ( MrLock#5948 ). Maybe I'm too worried about this and need to just let it flow how it will, but hopefully, y'all can provide a couple of good ideas!

  7. What brought you to the server? I was originally part of a server name Lanthyr. It was the first dedicated server I'd joined. During this time, I met several members (though I no longer remember their names), and played for a few months off-and-on. The server was very small and such had limited active hours, so during this time I looked around and found LOTC. This was several years ago, and I remember thinking about how this seems like a professional place where only experienced people play. I decided I would play on Lanthyr, working my way up to be "good enough" to join, and I had fun there, but the group was small, and after 2 merges and a rebrand, the server dissolved into nothingness, and I went my own direction. I played several games, and joined a few groups that eventually had social civil wars. I remember finding this server almost by accident one day as I looked at "Minecraft Roleplay Servers". When I loaded up the homepage, I immediately remembered what this place was, and thus, I joined and found my way through the server. What's your favorite aspect about LotC? I'm not sure I can pick out one particular thing, but overall it's the ability to meet so many people and their characters. The ability to write a story alongside friends. The openness of the community to new players was something I loved. Within the first week, I had been taught everything I would need to know and from there, I was meeting people from Aaun, Norland, The Vale, Urguan. Overall, my favorite part of LOTC is just the open and loving community. If you could fix one issue about the server and have everything be executed efficiently, what would you fix? The only problem I have had with LOTC is certain groups joining, not for the roleplay, but purely for banditing. Don't get me wrong, I love cool bandits where the roleplay is interesting. I don't want to point out what they do or who they are, but to the person who tried to stick an arrow in Knox's ribs, you are, by far, my favorite banditing experience. I know it may sound weird, but I genuinely enjoyed almost being robbed as he he did his thing, but to those who have copy paste emotes purely to fight and only take, but never give, I don't personally care for it, so it would be having bandits supply interesting emotes and be more than just someone who goes around robbing others. Favorite book you've read With no other book coming quite as close, I love Maze Runner. The books are amazing. The Plot is perfect, and having the final book as the prequel explains every question the reader had is something no other series has done. I wish I could give myself an amnestic to forget what happens and read it again.
  8. I'm bored at the moment, so I thought this could be a fun thing to do. I am also applying for mod, so this may be a fun way to get a feel for who exactly I am if you haven't met me before. A bit about me: I am working on getting my firefighter 1 + 2 and Hazmat certification, and have my EMR and BLS certification. I know a bit about coding and have ran a few Anti-Doxxing services in the past. So, without further ado, AMA!
  9. Liam refuses to be confused by the writing of words "That's a neat little sketch, but I wonder what all the fuss is about..."
  10. Friendly reminder that you cannot get into places by jumping on a mech boat, block glitching, or jumping over 3 blocks with a horse. (If you know who this is or are the person, no hate, but please stop.)

These bans aren't solely based on grooming behaviour. I think they are for anyone deemed dangerous to the community - and potentially other communities as well. That can include doxxing. (I don't know why he was banned)

  13. I don't know why you people suddenly decide to pay me a visit, but while your here, maybe take a look at my Moderator Application. I mean, seriously though, not a single person visits me for weeks then everyone comes to take a look. I'm not complaining, just confused.

  14. Everyone on the forums has cool pfps can banners, but I  have Microsoft Paint and a short attention span!

  15. I am convinced there are only 2 orcish subraces because they refuse to recognize a third xD Congrats to everyone, and next month, can we also post before and after acceptance playtimes? Anyways, good job everyone
  16. In the Norlandic Keep, Liam sits, lost in thought as the fire warms the room. He is a very Hefty man, hands rough from years of work and battle. Around him, citizens hold each other close trying their best to keep warm. He is suddenly jerked back to reality as he hears a familiar voice call out “You ok bud?” He looks down at the octopus plush in his arms, almost chuckling at the thought of someone who has no problem with beheading a man for shoving him, delicately holding a soft child’s toy. He quietly mumbles “I'm alright. Just thinking…” The voice pauses for a moment before continuing “Well y’know we have stuff to do. Usually, you’re all over it… is this about the ice kiss?” Liam suddenly yells “NO!”. The crowd quickly turns to the sudden outburst. He exchanges glances with them before excusing himself heading underground to what appears to be a storage room. He went to sit on one of the medical beds preemptively set out for the expected injuries. The medics had largely underestimated Norland’s ability to suck it up, so rows of beds lay unused waiting for any impending battle to provide use. He sets his plush on a bed opposite of him looking around for anyone who may be listening before continuing “It’s not about any drugs. Not whiskey or… or whatever else you may think.” He takes a breath once again glancing around the room for any others “I am a danger to Grimm. I know it sounds stupid, but-” The sounds of someone heading down the steps echo down the hall. He looks over to see a small child standing beneath the doorway waving. In exchange, Liam motioned for her to leave, but she stood there still. “Go on. What do you need?” he impatiently asked before she smiled and ran off leaving him sitting. “Now what’d you do that for?” the voice asks. “That’s what I mean… I-I don’t know. I don't know what I'm doing or why I do things. Ever since I came into this worthless place, I’ve just been… existing. Days blend and then I discover drugs.” He chuckles for a moment “Eternal leaf, box of crayons, cactus green, you name it, I sold it. Then…” His expression changes becoming more serious “I found ice kiss, and damn… that was a drug if there was one. Smoked it up so much some elven dude seasoned enough to make the ocean jealous… then Grimm saw what was happening and I made a promise… one which I broke 14– well, now 15 times.” Liam stands up grabbing the plush “And now, he’s finally given up…” a lone tear treads down Liam’s emotionless face, dripping onto the floor. He quietly rushed past the people in the palace and opened the door to leave. Struggling against the cold winds, he made it to the library where he grabbed a couple books from the children's section before grabbing a note, pen, and lantern, both for light and warmth. He sat for hours looking through “Norlandic ABCs” trying to make sure each letter was written to near perfection. Consulting several more books, mostly searching for words and their meaning, he gave out a breathy sigh. Standing up, he looked over the note and left it to dry as he grabbed a couple blankets and crawled into a small corner to sleep. Waking up, he quickly grabbed the note and headed for the aviary. Sending his message to Grimm, and shedding his ashguard clothes, he quickly felt the sting of the storm. He grimaced through it as he grabbed his cloak, and went for his horse. He checked that the coast was clear before quickly riding off, careful to avoid any Mori that would stand in his way, once again, heading far away from home.

  19. Please tell me this is a joke... This completely decimates much lore, and would only make sense if there were constant racial conflicts that lead to the uniting of all same-race nations. This would also discourage new players who have a friend, let's say in Norland, to play an elf or orc leaving them virtually no choice in the matter.
  20. Name: Liam Race: Human Title: N/A Allegiance: Norland Magical Practice: N/A
  21. Percentage based activity checks is an amazing addition to the server... until you get 2 or 3 Nations that are passively able to get several orders of magnitude greater activity and they start sucking in players. Activity checks were originally made to keep dozens of abandoned nations from forming and consolidate roleplay in a few generalized nations. Through the consolidations and exceptional leadership, Hanse and Celinore have become Nation Superpowers. There is nothing wrong with that, but when this means places like Bywater, which is a known racial hub, has to worry about being evicted or join another nation as a vassal, there is a major issue. Not only would you removing another unique area (RIP Yong Ping), but actively forcing them to disband or throw a major portion of their lore out the window and join "Bigg'uns". Activity checks should only be glanced at after a Nation noticeably has issues and should be a "final countdown" when all other options have been exhausted.
  22. Liam and Leon pass the note to each other attempting to discern what the funny letters are trying to say. They eventually give up and spy on someone reading another copy out loud. A smile forms on both faces as they part ways, one taking a boat, and the other running through the travel hub to get to Bywater.
  23. Welcome to LOTC!!!

  24. "I thought that was done years ago... Well I guess I may as well pay them a visit!" Liam sets off for Bywater
