There among the trees a battle had ensued amidst the forces of evil. Huge marks had been left behind by the cliff face which suggested the fury of tremendous beasts. Smoldering blood stained the ground, huge hoofmarks littering the ground, as huge amounts of grass had been killed beneath animalistic hooves and feet in the scuffle. One thing was certain... Unprepared, overwhelmed, and overcome, one of the fiercest Zar'akal on the continent had been laid low in an embarrassing fashion. What remained unclear, however, was the fate of the beast. In the absence of it's usual preparations and adequate war equipment, it had undertaken a fierce battle for its own survival, and narrowly survived by the clemency of Fate herself. This embarrassment might fade within his mind, but there are days where even tyrants must be humbled. The first victory against him. Perhaps the last? As Vriza reminisced in pain, the Zar'akal could not help but feign respect for the two Zar'ei it had fought. It knew inwardly that had it been anybody else, the fight would not have gone to plan, and they would have been consumed. This embarrassment, he thought to himself, Will pass. But would it really? The Twisted King languished in agony within his cave. Would the arm regrow? He could not tell and he dreaded the answer. His Striith, that vengeful skull which hovered close to his ear, whispered softly. "Such a monumental failure. You are better off dead. Even the girl Sylvara could not best you in such a manner, and she is ten times the fighter they are." The Zar'akal could not argue. However, he coped inwardly about the situation, blaming the rocks, blaming the trees, blaming the grass. Rest assured, a creature so narcissistic and vain could not bother to blame himself for his own momentous failure.
  4. Repping because it makes the worst people on the server mald (not that everyone who disagrees is bad; I just arbitrate that many people I think suck are certainly upset by this prospect). I will say this though - in principle, I think these things should be policed in role-play, and through existing rules. Like Elves not being allowed to have many kids. IMO it's better to hassle these people in role-play and disconnect the people in-game. I think an amendment cannot fix what some in-game elbow grease can. But ultimately it's on LT and the Naz community to decide if this is a favorable outcome.
  5. Abyssal refers to 'The Abyss' on LoTC, which is a Necromancy hub on another map. Just another thing to tack onto the list.
  6. 【 Z A R ’ A K A L H O T F I X E S 】 Under ‘INTELLECT’: [Mentality] Replace With: With their last vestiges of mortal mundanity cast away, a Zar’akal is consumed almost entirely by their Malice. Their newfound form brings with it the catalyst to their mental undoing, wherein the will to walk this accursed path has trumped their humanity. They are selfish to a fault, shedding the moral laws of man that hindered their goals. The primary malice is further emphasized, dominating the Zar’akal’s fractured mind, as well as their secondary malice to a lesser degree. The Twisted King may find they hear their Zar’rokul more readily now, or are merely broken and delirious enough to believe they do. Sleep is no longer a necessity for it, now capable of keeping awake for as long as they please without tiring or succumbing to side effects or fatigue, but they can certainly pretend to rest should it wish to put on a farce of humanity. The whispers and nightmares bestowed upon them by their patron do not fade, but instead, such a wretched thing might find comfort in them. •• ━━━━━ ••𒋝•• ━━━━━ •• And on the pedestal, these words appear: My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings; Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair! Nothing beside remains. Round the decay Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare The lone and level sands stretch far away. •• ━━━━━ ••𒋝•• ━━━━━ •• A Zar’akal’s mentality is influenced by the Malices which the warlock had prior to their transformation. A Twisted King might put on a front of goodwill and mercy in order to achieve its goals, but they lack the ability to truly feel empathy or compassion. The flaws that lead the individual down this accursed path in the first place magnify the perversion of the Malices, which swallows the individual whole, and exacerbate vices such as arrogance, jealousy, cruelty, vindictiveness and manipulation. In Zar’akal form, these rise to the surface unbridled, unchecked, and untempered. Among their Greater Court, there are those who a Zar’akal may regard with varying attitudes based upon how useful they are to them. Monsters with little regard for the Descendant Races, they now view souls as transactional currency, or playthings to manipulate. As Greater Inferi, Zar’akal view Lesser Inferi such as Zar’ei, Zevn, and Zekul as nothing but tools to advance their fatalistic mission to endlessly consume and twist the mortal worlds to their own ends. Sentimental bonds they once shared with friends, family and allies may become warped and they regard individuals as mere tools- Zar’akal are capable of fanatical delusions, and may believe that they are capable of humanoid emotions. Unfortunately for them, they are so lost in their own lies and malice that it does not matter, because evil and barbarity will always rise to the surface in place of kindness and compassion. For the Twisted Kings, all things are transactional- barter is the sole language they understand, with lives and souls held in the balance as the currency to maintain their corrupt bartering system. Personal advancement and self-gain shall always rule their subconscious thoughts. A Zar’akal’s mentality is as complex as it is nuanced, and understood by few. While they are capable of putting on a front of goodwill and mercy, even the vested Naztherak themselves may struggle to discern the true, hidden motives of the King in times of wroth or apparent forgiveness. The faults and flaws that once lead him down this accursed path in the first place magnify to their absolute apex, swallowing him whole. Vices such as arrogance, jealousy, cruelty, vindictiveness, manipulation, etc. no longer simply linger in their mind in tandem with their once-virtues, but instead rise to the surface, unbridled, unchecked, and untempered. Among their circle, there are those who he regards with varying attitudes, individuals that play different roles within their sullen life. They are monsters with little regard for their once-kin, who they now see as souls to devour or playthings to manipulate- as greater ones, at that, they too view the lesser Inferi of Zarei, Zevn, and Zekul as naught but pawns and playthings for their cause. While the sentimental bonds they once shared with friends, family, and allies may become corrupted and regarded as mere tools, there are those capable of evoking varying attitudes from the Twisted King. They may expend protection and assistance to those in need, but it’s a far cry from true affection or loyalty. Instead, it’s a calculative move designed to ensure his own advancement and agenda, where conventions such as loyalty and trust are mere tools to be wielded and betrayal a threat to be guarded. Some of his allies, perhaps out of denial for his macabre metamorphosis or foolish bravery, might refuse to keel over in the face of his wrath and accept the domination he seeks to employ over others, inspiring little more than wrath, for their insolence is a stain on his pride. There are those whose existence may invoke indifference, for their memory might grip the frayed edges of their mind, but are ultimately inconsequential to their desires, and those who are lucky even capable of inspiring a semblance of camaraderie from the King, should they find their intellect and prowess to rival its own. Reasoning: The original mentality had the COLOSSAL oversight of not involving the Zar’akal’s malices within them whatsoever, which is unbecoming for the Naztherak endgame CA to just ignore the core aspects that influence their mentality. Under ‘REBIRTH’: Change: ≣ Lesser Death: The Zar’akal will regenerate in [7] OOC days. လ Deaths via most forms and means will incur this. Into: ≣ Lesser Death: The Zar’akal will regenerate in [3] OOC days. လ Deaths via most forms and means will incur this. Reasoning: Seven days is an absolutely inane amount of time to respawn when compared to other timers for endgame CA's. Three days is still a very long time to be out of commission while not being a total roadblock to roleplay- keep in mind that WIGHTS were also reduced from 7 OOC days to 3 OOC days in a similar amendment a while back, as shown [HERE]. Add Clarifying Redline: ♚ To be cannibalized, a defeated Zar’akal must have their head/skull severed from their body and consumed in whole by another Zar’akal. Reasoning: We realized only after this piece’s acceptance that cannibalizing was never clarified to be the HEAD of the defeated Zar’akal- this is to evoke parallels to the means of yore in ascendance (eating a Zentherak’s head) which engorges on their maleus and suppresses them from coming back on their own, as present here. Under ‘REBIRTH’: Change: ♚ A Naztherak or Zar’akal can only be within a single greater court at a time, be it their own one or one they were indoctrinated into via Ildrith’akal. Reasoning: This is to prevent weird Greater Court shenanigans (courts inside courts inside courts etc.) where a single person could benefit from more than one court at a time. Under ‘INFIRMITIES’: Add: Lᴜɴᴀʀɪᴛᴇ: A metal that does not hail from the Mortal Planes, yet rather endless expanses of space above. A material which has been utilized against Greater Inferi due to the nature of them being incubated in a deeper layer of Moz’Strimoza when they are formed. The High Hells of Moz’Strimoza lack the reflective hues of moonlight, leaving Greater Inferi biologically unadjusted to moonlight. When forced to behold moonlight in a trinket or weapon fashioned from at least [2] ingots, all Zar’akal who behold it within [20] meters are blinded by it for [1] emote once per CRP encounter until their eyes readjust. Reasoning: We believe that a unique weakness for Zar’akal through Lunarite is something that it deserves to set it apart from not only their lesser brethren, but also the other endgame CAs- whilst ST were not receptive of a material bane for them, we want to propose a new weakness via a visual stun that lunarite items can incite on them, creating interesting counterplay against these creatures that may be utilized through interesting means.

This vision is accessible solely to practitioners of Naztherak and Inferis players. The minds of the Naztherak and Inferi scattered across the newfangled realm of Azuras pulsated with sudden heat. Behind the eyelids, what appeared to be grey static shifted into little black worms crawling along inside the tender flaps of flesh. The primordial ooze surrounded you as you seemed to wake from your sudden stupor. Enmeshed in the horrid wet sludge of the gorepit, many of the details were imperceivable, but you felt something strong not unlike a viper coiled about your ankle. As you attempted to swim to the surface, you could feel the coppery water surge into your lungs, filling the vacuum where air should be. It tasted strongly of rust and disappointment, a copper flavor not unlike that of raw meat or blood. One might even imagine that the immersive viscera was swallowing you as you tried in vain to escape this trap. ʏᴏᴜ ʙᴇɢɪɴ ᴛᴏ sᴇᴇ. ʏᴏᴜ ʙᴇɢɪɴ ᴛᴏ ᴛʜɪɴᴋ. ʏᴏᴜ ʜᴀᴠᴇ ᴏɴᴇ ᴘᴜʀᴘᴏsᴇ. The voices rang out in raucous clamor. The first sounded like the dying screeches of a girl burning alive. Perhaps on a funeral pyre or by some more nefarious means. In some cultures, it was not unheard of for them to burn women on their husbands funeral pyres. What sick and vapid vision was this? The second voice sounded like a man’s voice, though it gradually shifted into a guttural one: You have one purpose. It sounded like the grating of a metal beam against harsh stones. The sound almost made your hackles rise as the horrible sounds continued to emanate, your fractured mind hardly keeping pace with the horrors that were unfolding before your very eyes as a monolithic abomination adorning a ram skull mask was seen crossing a small threshold towards a nearby pentacle. “Please!” The woman cried out in anguish, “Let me go. I have children.” Not a lie, but not the whole truth either. This woman had tried to sprint out of the room and left her accursed children to die at the hands of the Dark Brotherhood. Crunch! The woman burst apart beneath a cloven hoof as the demented monstrosity lifted his eyes heavensward and proclaimed: “Your purpose is to die!” Many eyes flared beneath the mask, reminiscent of flashing red lights, though to the horror of those that beheld him he had spider-like eyes, many little gelatinous orbs which looked out from behind the mask with narrowly contained virulence. And onto the next, a small woman of unknown origin cried out as she was sent crashing through the nearby manor wall, the whiplash shattering her spine and leaving her life to slowly ebb as her lifeless lower half dangled from outside the wooden board, a shoe slipping off of her corpse and falling onto the ground. The harsh and wallowing thunderclaps outside emanated sulfur, the air thick with tension as the figures seemed to turn and the scene dissolved into the reddish-tinged murk you were seemingly trapped within. The name was seared into your eyelids in Ilzakarn. V̶̺̼̞͕̗̗̺̬͛̐̽̆͂̔̚ʀ̶̨͔̩̲͂͊̎͐͆̓̍̐̎͐͛̂ɪ̸̧̡̀̃̌́̽̉̃̊̐͊̈͑͑̄ᴢ̴̢̧̻̰͉̲̫͙̠̠̠̣͇̖͓̇̈́̇̋̑̌̿̓̚͝ᴀ̵̨̢͉̐̐͝!̴̧̹̹̦͛̾̔̀̍
  8. Not my first choice for adding it to the server, but the ship has sailed because the interests that be (Admins?) have proclaimed it with a heavenly choir. Is it the end of the world? No. Do you have to like it? No. And before some foo asks me why I have an opinion if I wander around in godmode all day, I honestly don't. However, even if somebody did, who cares? What's going to happen is one or two people are gonna farm a ton of food, it's gonna be eaten, and the world keeps on turning. The argument I heard for it was people were not pleased about food stockpiles last map because having tons of steak in storage might have somehow been the issue with PvP. I disagree with that and personally didn't want this change made either. I will say that Cheeseboy basically did what he was asked to do as a new member on his team. If you're upset with the decision, you're better off writing a post addressed to Administration. The most Cheeseboy is guilty of is giving back to the server in the way he knows and prefers to do through programming. Like he said, if he refused map would have been delayed until somebody else did it. P.S. This debate on food expiration and how many people like/dislike it is also easily rectified with a server wide poll for satisfaction/dissatisfaction. Ideally, a major low stakes decision like this should have passed the vibe check with the community anyways since its harmless and really should fall down to the players' preference. It's not a sensitive issue (like moderation or security ones) which requires more nuance than a popularity poll. Letting players choose is harmless.
  9. @Maltapinging you here so i can find your profile and click on it nothing to see here just lazy and wanted to laugh at the eso duele thing from 2-3 yrs ago

  10. Long ago, Alice had met this unnamed man at a social function. Nonetheless, they never met again, and now the man from their brief and unremarkable meeting was dead. Within The Maw, an Inferis contemplated the meaning of mundane life. It had so many unforeseeable twists and turns. No, they're all really just meat in the end. And brittle bones. Yet, somewhere there was a conscience, an alter ego which contemplated how much had changed in a mere fourteen-years. How many people had he seen come and go? Was life really so ephemeral and transient? The raven-haired man strolled back up to his den to rest before the fire and smiled.
  11. Azura sounds 10x better but either way can just called it that IRP
  12. weird opinion on my end but 1.9 for main server and 1.8 for warclaim server is ideal for me, i am sure many will disagree tho

  15. The notice was simple and flowed in Ilzakarn. It lacked embellishment or any kind of beauty to adorn it. It was a simple missive, one which might find itself in the hands of those unlucky enough to be under the Zar'akal's twisted gaze. For some, it was found in mailboxes, for others it might be found haunting their local pub. All the same, the Naztherak Warlocks who were unfortunate enough to stumble upon these notices before they disappeared could read the Ilzakarn script which flowed harshly against the wrinkled papyrus. You may think that I will not dog your steps even if you are reconnected. You are wrong. My hammer shall find your skulls and your families shall be trampled underhoof. You shall never find a moment of peace, I shall never relinquish you, for the cowardly do not deserve to live. Amol-vuht kul koth zu’kotuhzt rognat e’rakulu tuk ra’strimozaka. Do not be quick to assume yourself a predator in the hells.
  16. 1. The person was knocked unconscious and handed to us when we got there. Literally in a room upstairs where we grabbed them from the people who gave her to us as an offering. 2. We waited for more people to come out and fight, alas nobody did. 3. We returned 30 minutes later looking for more Naztherak and the local Chieftain and I spoke, and he directed me towards other Naztherak. But that's okay buddy, wear your tinfoil cap.
  17. If you're on at 3 AM and raided, that's your fault for being on at 3 am. Don't wanna be RP'd at in the wee hours of the morning? Don't be logged on. It's an RP server at the end of the day. Also, Jade is one of the people who is least inclined to disconnect anybody out of all the current Zar'akal. Her reasoning to me was quite simple: If it's a one or done thing it's more narratively compelling. Given people can be perma disconnected already just by getting caught twice, a lot of the things you're complaining about presently exist. I said this on my prior post, but there's nothing stopping anybody from catching the person twice and gunning them down in the street that way. The sum of Jade's argument is that the gravity of the consequence feels heftier when it's a one and done thing. It really falls down to a matter of preference. At the moment, if somebody is disconnected, they need to relearn and re-apply from scratch anyways. If the gist really falls down to personal preference, it makes no sense to make these kinds of ad hominem attacks- Jade is already capable of permanently disconnecting people if she applied herself. Edit: Also Jade literally explains her reasoning here lol. What about this suggests greed at all when she's agreeing there might be other modifications to tweak to the lore, and that maybe she has a skewed perception due to disconnection not applying to her? Casting these aspersions in the first place just seems really goofy.
  18. Conversely, you are writing an agreement when you become a Naz that these risks exist. You are not playing a character who is apart of a stable in-group. There are also ways to escape this cycle of disconnection (transforming into a demon) that have grounded consequences - namely a loss of freedom, but security from being disconnected (as an Akal at least - Zar'ei can be banished back to Moz in 1 rite forever). Jade explained to me her rationale for the amendment and I am in support of it. It changes little for me, because I don't really care if I have to disconnect somebody twice since I am capable of doing it IRP. I understand why people would think it's a cheap cop-out to let people just relearn a deific magic they've been severed from though. If somebody is not playing carefully and gets disconnected fairly, they honestly should just take the L. They can always become a demon. There's no shame in losing IMO. It's honestly just going to fall down to whether or not the LT share Jade's opinion. She certainly persuaded me though.
