  1. Battle of the Gorge The dwarven mountains were decorated with banners of Imperial purple after the victory at Mount Gorgon. The bulk of the Imperial force was stationed in the alpine north of Urguan, awaiting instructions from the command back in Johannesburg. The army lay dormant, but any man wise to the way of the world would tell you that the mass of levied soldiers nestled in the peaks of Tahn was a sleeping beast. South, at the Imperial court, the Emperor reclines in his throne, his gaze somber as he listened to the testimony of a silver clad elf standing before him. The gentry and nobles of the court looked on as Orsino, Uthir of Haelun’or spoke. “Your Imperial Majesty, the War Ugz have struck our lands. They have lied to the world about their abolishment of slavery and abandoned all honor. Not two span ago they took the wife of our Okarir’tir as a snaga, and then attempted to take the Okarir’tir himself: Sul’onn Tahn’thill, the leader of our Evariran. Thankfully, we fought them off. How can they justify being shielded from destruction when they target officials in Imperial provinces and lie about abolishing their barbaric slave trade?” The Emperor rubbed his chin as the court erupted into various hushed murmurs, speaking amongst themselves. He raised his hand, and those gathered recognized the cue and fell silent. Philip Frederick rose and spoke. “It is clear to me, my lords, that we have misjudged the largest threat to our Empire. The dwarves may be treasonous, disrespectful of treaties and honor, but at the end of the day they shall always hide in their mountain holes, they have made that much very clear. However, the orcish menace seems to be never perishing. The beasts are like cockroaches, you stamp them out and they rise again, resilient pests. Well, I say we finish what we started. We must eradicate this scourge on our lands, ensure the civilized realms of Axios are never again plagued with the presence of greenskin beasts, ensure their heathenous spirits have none left to worship them, and end slavery once and for all.” A day later, carrier pigeons made their flight north to Urguan, where the Imperial army was garrisoned. The ordered they carried was clear. The Empire was to divert its path of conquest onto the War Ugz, and so they marched south, away from their efforts against their erstwhile dwarven allies. 2. Battle of Mount Gorgon Anyone who watched the flight of the loons would know that something was afoot in the north. The migratory birds avoided the pillars of chimney smoke rising from the rooftops of St. Karlsburg. The metropolis of Haense was positively bustling with armies levies of all creeds and banners shuffling about the city, arming themselves and ultimately returning to the organized sea of tents that made up the preliminary war camp. Far away from the industrious preparations of the Imperial Army, the Emperor sat in the court of Haense with all his dignitaries, commanders and regional nobles. They had convened there every evening for a span now, and those outside had only heard excerpts of the conversation. “The Urguanites have been given a chance to uphold the terms of our peace, but they have failed! The snow elves we exterminate return to the warm bosom of the Dwedmar, escape the justice they deserve. The savage orcs too live under their vassalage. Urguan has become nothing more than a safe harbor for enemies of Oren to hide and rebuild, only to strike at our Empire once more! We must put this to an end!” As days passed, and the armies of Oren prepared, it became more and more evident that they were soon to be marching in the direction of the Dwarves. 4. Battle of The Gray Peninsula “The Orc’s of Azaghol have, since their creation, have existed peacefully as residents within the Grand Kingdom. They are a officiated landowners of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan and have been since before the treaty of the Northern union was conceived. They have lived within the lands of Urguan since before the Condemnation of the Orcish race was issued.” “What did you say, Chamberlain?” “Merely reading out what Grand King Torvin has penned to us in response to the Union Proclamation, your Imperial Highness.” The court rumbled with ominous silence after this brief exchange between Chamberlain Stephen De Beaufort and the Emperor Philip I Frederick. The Emperor gazed across the crowd, all the Lords, Barons and Princes gathered. He addressed the general crowd. “What do you lot make of this?” Prince Artimec, the cinnamon skinned wood elf rose from his seat. “If I may…” He was waived to go on. “We have had a few incursions of orcs upon our territory in the Dominion. All dealt with, naturally. These incursions have involved attempted slavery, banditry and general delinquency. In response to this, I have sent scouts to the former Uzglands, to ensure no orcish peoples remain there, none do. I also sent scouts north of Sutica to that squatters camp of their Shamanic hexers. Only their Shamans live there, and none other. The orcs I spoke of before were not shamans. While I do not relish the idea of another world war, I can only conclude that the orcs who have attacked Dominion land are the orcs who live in Azaghol, and furthermore, are the very same orcs who fought against us in the Uzg, and blighted Vailor.” The Emperor nodded. “Very good, Prince Artimec.” As Artimec returned to his seat, the Emperor rose to his feet. His voice echoed across the imperial courtroom. “My sources have told me much of the same. The idea that the orcs hiding within the dwarven mountains are any different than the ones we have fought in the past is ridiculous! These are the very same beasts whose blighted magics forced us off of Vailor, the very same beasts who practice slavery and banditry as core, integral parts of their culture. The very same beasts who allied with the Southern Axis to destroy our Empire!” The Emperor clenches his fist into his palm as if mimicking the crushing of a bug. “And now they have a home once more? A base in which they can grow their numbers, smith new weapons, create new fortifications so they may once more become a blight upon our lands? I shall not allow that, good men of the Empire. I will not see a plague of slavery and banditry sweep onto our lands once more! In the name of GOD, I must declare war.” The gentry rose up from their seats, a chorus of chants fills the room. “Ave Orenia!” “Death to orcs!” WARCLAIM Tier Chosen: 1 Type of battle: Skirmish Date And Time: Saturday, December 3rd, 3 PM EST Side A: Holy Orenian Empire and Allies Side B: Tribelands of Azaghol and Allies Location: Land just behind the mountain, skrim in the surrounding desert Overarching area with aerial view Terms of Victory VICTORY FOR ATTACKERS- If the defenders are killed or driven from the field of battle. 12. This Lore has been denied. Topic moved to Denied Lore forum.
  13. I'm sorry to say this Lore has been Denied. The opinion of the team is this magic draws too heavily from undead magic and necromancy, taking the best parts and creating a sort of super magic. Though there are Lore Moderators interested in helping getting this piece of an acceptable level, if you contact me on skype I can send you their direction.
  14. This Lore is being made Pending. The belief of the team is the use of the word spirt can lead to confusion with the spirt realm, change that and this lore can be accepted. Please contact me when you've made the designated changes
  15. This Lore has been accepted. Moved to Implemented Lore, it will be sorted to it's appropriate category soon.
