Moderation Update Log - February 2020 <Introduction> Good afternoon, everyone! I apologize for this update being a few days late; the last two weeks have been really busy for myself and the team. However, many of our projects and a few changes will be rolling out as we delve deeper into March! <New Changes> The Moderation Team has been hard at work tackling six different projects this past month. You guys will be seeing two of these projects within the next few days! Sadly, we are a bit behind on schedule due to some complications the team ran into, but there will be lots of announcements from us this month, so we look forward to hearing what you’ve got to say once they go live. Take a look below for the projects we will have done this month. Some will be out within the next few days, but some will be out towards the end of the month. Current Projects Rule Rewrite - The majority of the rules are being worked in admin review soon, and the last three portions are to be finished. Once all rules are reviewed and through Team, and Admin review. Rules page will be formatted differently to where it is hopefully easier for folks to Navigate. Overhaul of the Infraction System - A lot of the infractions have been shuffled around and altered to fit the server a bit better than the old system Pun had left in place, thus allowing for more leniency for both warnings and bans for some offenses pending on the case by case scenario. This means we’re taking a step away from the more robotic three strikes you're out no matter what approach. Infraction Appeals - Since the infraction system’s start in 2018, the least according to the records we have access too, infraction points never went away. Meaning, over a year those infractions coming back to haunt people if they broke a rule years ago and had an honest slip up. For minor to moderate offenses, we’ll allow players to appeal them so that way if you broke a raid rule two years ago, you don’t suddenly eat a two month plus ban. However, more serious infractions (ERP, harassment, doxxing, etc.) can not be appealed. More information such as how to will be out at the end of this week. War Patch - Close to the mid or end of this month, a patch will hopefully be out for the current war system, allowing a basic set of rules and guidelines if players do not agree to any terms while encouraging them to make terms where both sides can better enjoy the war as well as revisiting some old systems to help give wars a better and proper way to be decided besides just dumping logs upon logs onto Mod Management and waiting for them to go “Ok! Good to go!” Coups - Coups will be on hold unless you are couping an inactive nation or charter leader, though we hope to bring coups into a state where they can be done for active and dynamic RP. We will be gathering more feedback on that in the near future as well as referencing some feedback gathered by CT a little while back. <Current Team Roster > <Monthly Statistics> Moderation Staff received a total of 1272 Tickets in February. As for modreq numbers, our numbers are near the previous month, falling short behind by a few tickets with a shorter month to work with. I do apologize to any of the GMT or any similar time zones that had to wait as we restabilize the GMT side of the team. With ImCookie and Knox joining the GMT side of the team and other GMT mods returning from sick or IRL leave, we hope they continue their efforts in aiding the other GMT mods keeping tickets under control. You can have ping certain ranks in your discord either via Discord settings or players changing the notifications for said channel. That way when rung the emote and ping go out at once. So as stated above no one can leak the discord ping and crop it to the ooc ping and cry meta rally.

Correct, only for raids, skirms etc. Anything related to conflict is when this should be used for basically CYA. Since the last 2 months Moderation has gotten alot of snip its of people pinging their discords screaming META RALLY. And with how many people are involved, it can take mods hours to find out if there was any emotes or not. This will allow mods to decide meta rallies or not on the spot, or we will at least see with its first few months if it does. Player events such as festivals, balls etc don't need this used. Would be silly to rally. Don't need to use it for pre planned Skirms or WC's either.

Hunwald and Grool had nothing to do with your ban being extended, the first case it was extended to two weeks on my call due to how horribly toxic you were being in New Player Discord. One where I didn't have to screenshot a thing because several players offered thier own. Showing the story on why it got extended. As for the Admin ban it was explained to you and how to get out of it. If you need clarification pm me on Discord but do keep in mind I'm on the other side of my state with only celluar data until Saturday at the latest. As for Hunwald, if you have proof that I have not been given yet. Submit a staff report or give me a proper report in a google doc in PMs. Out of the two months of being Manager or Admin I've only recently within the last few days gotten any report regarding my staff. If they've done anything to abuse permissions they will be dealt with accordingly due to the severity of said abuse or breach of staff permissions after reviewing any report or reports. I will be locking this thread as Tigers post answers several points made off the post you referenced. And you yourself admitted the idea won't work. Something we are exploring some options with, is taking an optional approach route. Allowing Staff to Enforce CB and consequences, and general war, raid rules, etc. But at the same time allowing differing terms and rules for warfare IF both sides agree, allowing for give and take to create a unique feel to their specific war. And if they don’t? Then we’ll have standards to fall onto to prevent some messes we’ve seen with those six and more wars. We are bouncing around several ideas on how to combat this, every war should not be a World War or feel like it. We don’t have any that have been hammered out enough to talk about, but it is a concern we have on near the top of our list. If you have any suggestions to help combat this issue, please let us know. Bring back conquest you n00b

Heyo there skinners of LoTc. For a few months before I've working on side project I want to become my Rp focus. That being a Fighter Esque like guild with DnD style events, rp-pvp, etc led by a netural party with branching office/tavern like bases. Getting things off my notebooks into google docs when I take my breaks from helping the team with some of its projects and nearing completion of it soon hopefully. As I reach this I realize I need a good 4ish skins all various type of armor being light leathers to heavy plate and a few in between. I am looking to get quality skins made to last a long time, meaning of course I'll be paying in USD for the time and work put into said skins. Price I am currently willing to pay around 35$ USD. Can be negotiated of course if necessary. Any of those interested let me know here or Discord Braxis#1782 and I'll explain and show Refs and more in detail there or in forum PMs.

Gotta show the team how its done The overall ticket count is submitted tickets. The reasons for it being much lower then last months is most likely due to Winter Break being over, TP requests on a decline since the Warp Caravan was put in place, and much less SS related deaths. Not to mention the average weekly population of the server was 50~60 for nearly the entirety of January. I can say with confidence that my team is not at fault in this regard. Since everyone is above quota. The 3 in the red were Admins who helped out during the gaps in Moderation hours.

Moderation Update Log -January 2020 <Introduction> Good afternoon everyone! These last two months, not only for the Moderation Team but for the entire server, have been a crazy trip in one way or another. We’ve seen the departure of a Mod Admin then another whose staff announced holiday hiatus went on much longer than originally planned, both leaving the team in a bit of a mess that many players have raised their voices over. Now for those who do not know me, I am Jarrett, also known as Jroy96 in the past and today as Braxis1996. Mostly known as Braxis nowadays, or some Old Guard know an old meme name Blaxis Silversmile. I’m twenty-three and have way too much free time even with my gremlin of a Corgi pup. I’ve been on the FM, Lore, Magic, War, Moderation teams of the past since Aegis till the near end of Anthos. When I returned and I somehow got Moderation and Moderation Management fairly quickly, I thought I was going to just settle into the same comfort and spot as I did as Moderation and War Management of the past. Didn’t know I’d be gunning and actually getting Mod Admin, and boy has it been a learning curve already. I hope I do not disappoint the various members of the community who’ve helped me reach this far, with only being back for fiveish months. There is a lot to clean up, fix up, and rework. I will not lie that I am a tad nervous at some of the challenges ahead, but at the same time, I welcome them as I am eager to take them on and do what I can to help both my team and the community enjoy LOTC to the fullest. <New Changes> There are a lot of upcoming changes coming to the Moderation team and hopefully for the better. As for January, I can’t announce too many changes as many projects were put on hold as the team bunkered down and did its best to not falter. APPEALS ARE BACK IN MODERATION! Something that was announced by Telanir a little while ago. Appeals with the community team did not yield the best results, so it has returned to the hands of Moderation. Appeals are to be claimed within 24hrs, our goal is to give them answers within a timeline of 72hrs, similar to reports. At the end of February, I will be gathering both staff and player feedback on what can approve. I can also announce that the Rule Rewrites have picked up again in full swing. Tonight alone my staff will be having a meeting to discuss and alter General, Raid and hopefully conflict rules tonight. So the drafts can be further worked on before they are submitted to the rest of the Admins for the final review. General Rules - BlueBudgie Raid - Braxis Conflict - Sykogenic Heists - Tigergiri I can announce our projects after that. War. The entire War System will be getting an overhaul, I already have several of my more conflict focused mods bouncing ideas both old and new to help offer a better, dynamic and growing system to grow along with our server. I will not bash on the current system as it is clear from both staff and player views. Council of Admins The Administration had a meeting this afternoon, and this is what we’ve decided in terms of leadership and decision-making moving forward. Each admin will be in charge of their own area, and come together to make collective decisions and work towards our common goal and overall direction - to improve roleplay on Lord of the Craft. The Administration no longer has a lead - not Telanir, nor Tythus. Instead, we will work together as a council, as has been done in the past. Each admin is equal to each other, and we are all held to the same standards and expectations. While Telanir is no longer in a position of power over the Administration, he will remain to help with development and general day-to-day duties, and is a valued member of the team. Because I hate myself. Duuuuuuuuh? From Early LOTC? The days of Braxis being a young Elf Squire to the Halfing Knight Commaber Robert (TheImpulseHQ) Who through a sudden purge in Knights and through his own Merit quickly rose to the rank of Knight Sergeant under Knight Commander Ser Grimbeard. (DirtyHarry) Who eventually gave both Commander and the Knight’s town of Galahar to Braxis. Which kick started alot of events afterwards I had fun with. As soon as I make the Interview Monkey Rank Neither Depends on the day, most of the time liquor though. Coke n Rum, Coke n Jack or Mt Dew and Vodka are some of my favorite mixes. Although its hard to go wrong with Yeungling, or even Angry Orchads or Alcoholic Lemonades. Hard Lemonade is great if your me who gets Kidney stones often. Not only doe the Lemon juice break down the stones, but the alcohol apparently helps. And it gets you pretty tipsy if you drink enough. *COUGH* ...Yes Good thing you said Handgun, in an honest answer. It would be my Great Grandfather’s Snub Nosed Revolver from like the 1930’s. 5 Chambers, short stubby gun with a bigger kick then you’d think with how tiny it is. Sadly its not at my apparent so I can’t double check which caliber it is. No its too cold here EVERY YEAR IS MY FAVORITE YEAR IN AMERICAN HISTORY. With the current process it takes time. And don't be discouraged to ask questions, as well as if your did a good interview but didnt make the cut you can still apply and try again. Of course give it some time but not harm in giving it another shot. Soooon....one day....maybe.. Clerics. I was a Cleric in Aegis and the writer of Taharaie with Shoi. Some of my best memories come from this small magic group from Aegis to Anthos. It was a wonderful trip. Also I'll be saving Syko's questions for when I am home.
