Purpose
Founded on principles of service, loyalty, and military excellence, the Gold Corps is a military organization under the command of Petyr Barbanov, charged with the defense of the Imperial City of Felsen. They claim heritage from the Brotherhood of the Golden Crow, a banner force whose prowess under its founder, Karl Barbanov, earned them great renown. Men are provided with weekly pay, a third of gathered loot, rations, armaments, and lodging.
Tenets
1st. All men will obey their superiors, under no circumstance should you disobey a direct order from a superior. If you have a problem with an order, you are to do it, then request an audience with a member of the greater command to discuss the order.
2. You shall not kill another member of the Corps, to do so will result in a swift execution.
3. You shall not steal from members of the Corps, to do so will result in banishment of the Corps.
Ranks
Greater Command
Grandmaster
The Commander of the Gold Corps has final and complete say in the Corps. All administrative decisions are to be clarified by himself and all officer promotions are to be done with his approval.
Commander
The right hand of the Lord Commander, he is a commander in the field and fully capable of training and organizing units.
High Command
Captain
The highest rank within High Command. They are in charge of overseeing the lower officers, while also overseeing a large number of soldiers. They are fully capable of leading skirmishes and even initiating conflicts.
Lieutenant
First rank within the High Command, standardizing the training of soldiers. They are to personally train footmen to ensure they are one day ready for promotion.
Low Command
Ensign
A grizzled officer most likely on his way to joining High Command. He has shown great potential to take on the responsibility of overseeing the enlisted. They will assist the Master of the Camp in overseeing the training of footmen, however focusing mostly on the Man-At-Arms.
Sergeant
The lowest officer in the Corps, they are to assist in everything from training Footmen to leading skirmishes. They are the chains which keep the Corp from falling apart.
The Enlisted
Master-At-Arms
A veteran soldier of the order, he has proven to be a true and loyal man to the order. It is a great honor to be bestowed this rank.
Man-At-Arms
The bulk of the Corps. Most men will fight and die at this rank, it however is not one of little prestige. All who serve in this rank are full members of the Gold Corps, and privileged to all advantages it brings.
Footman
The first rank within the Corps. They are to serve loyally until approved by an officer of the High Command, who will then promote them to Man-At-Arms. They are to be trained by disciplinaries who will forge them into formidable Man-At-Arms of the Corps.
Specialized Ranks
Disciplinary
A soldier's training does not end when he joins the Corps, he will be further shaped and forged into the best man he can be. Such meticulous training is overseen by the Disciplinaries, who organize training exercises and maintain order within the lower ranks.
Seneschal
The seneschal is a capable administrator, skilled at record keeping and the allocation of funds in order to keep the Corps running.
Head Physician
The head physician is in charge of all the medics within the Corps. He is a skilled doctor, very apt in the ways of healing and surgery.
Quartermaster
In charge of organizing all the equipment, making sure the stores are filled. He is also to keep track of quotas.
Chaplain
A representative of the church. He is to hold prayers for the men, keep them up to date with the decisions of church and GOD. He is to lead masses with the men as well, not a combatant but a man of the Corps just the same.
Barber
He is to make sure all the men are well trimmed and well kept.
Medals
Medal of Grievance
Considered the atonement medal; is given out to injured members of the Corps who suffered their ailment during righteous battle
Medal of the Stalwart
One of the highest of honour that could befall on a member of the Corps the Medal of Stalwart is granted to those who have attained glory or surmounted a great feat.
Medal of Production
Not all men are as good with a sword as they are with a hatchet or pickaxe, those who work hard and provide plenty of supplies for the Corps has a chance of earning this prestigious medal.
Medal of Discipline
Given to a soldier who shows the utmost discipline through works of respect to officers and going above and beyond the expectations of a soldier.
