are you missing that special something in your life? are you feeling sad or happy or all of the above? then the answer is my art thread. one browse a day keeps the nsa away because the nsa does not like to look at good quality art like mine so it is deterred away i definitely recommend looking at this art threat if the nsa is snooping around your house like a small rat who comes out during the night and eats your mum's favorite chocolate cake but your mum is so old and she says "hey where is my chocolate cake i need it to survive" but the rat ate it and you are angry at the rat so you try to trap it but it never works and the more your try to get it the more it ruins your life but one time in christmas eve the rat is lonely because its family has passed away so you invite it to your table and find out that the rat is just a guy down on his luck who has to steal for a living and then you stick the turkey knife down its back and boom problem solved. my art threat does that but easier because see there are not rats or nsa involved so i completely recommend it kisskiss <3<3<3

I was unbanned a couple of days ago. I expected the usual mediocre, but still present, RP from us Dwarves. Instead, I came back to an absolutely appalling capital city, made into a PvP fort out of necessity, and a laggy battle. At least before this conflict there was /some/ RP. Now there is none. Honestly, both sides should put OOC feuds aside, OOC feuds that are more than apparent in the discourse of this war (alla Harold becoming chancellor...) Everytime I come onto LotC now I feel like I'm on one of those ******* prison servers. Jesus Christ! The grind never stops! And, whats even worse about it is that as people are grinding, the memes they make are stale as ****. The only upside to war is the memes.
I don't have anything against both sides OOCly, but this is just plain ridiculous. I don't know how Oren is doing, but all Urguan does is grind: nobody wants to become part of Oren. At least we have Vandoria to grind with now. We're less lonely.

I feel that, RP largely dries up in Oren during war because of paranoia about being assassinated during regular RP, as human's take pride in their quickness to PK. It's unhealthy, and as the Lord Steward of Oren during the Duke's War, I can assure you that nothing dissuades RP more assuredly then the constant threat of raids and RP assassins. War is not fun for those who are not set to gain anything from it, and as such, I want it to end even though, admittedly, I would be in line to gain something should more sieges be successful. I'm not interested in owning placed blocks as much as I am for RPing on an RP server at this point yo, but mucho gracias for the long reply.
I'm actively lobbying for peace where I can, and hopefully it moves to that soon.

To any GM reading this: before I was banned I had Gold VIP status, but this was removed both from my in-game and forum accounts due to my having Lore Keeper status on both instances, which superseded by Gold VIP. Can a GM/FM deal with this? Thanks.

I meant Chemistry as in the study of change itself, not change. Change exists. Natural laws apply. I like to think, however, that the change is driven by equivalent exchange rather than interacting molecules and particles. As for the change itself, its based off of equivalent exchange mostly. You can argue that fire is characterized by the wood's flame symbol potential being put into action by a spark. You can also argue the same for smelting, as the ore's potential to melt is activated by a sort of stimulus. Cooking is basically tasty alchemy: you throw in a bunch of edible materials in a certain ratio, stimulate it with fire, and activate that material's equivalent exchange potential, causing it to blend with other materials and balance itself out until it gives food it's 'taste'. I mean, thats my opinion on how informed IG characters would try to explain it. I don't like to over-think this. I know some people like to get real life stuff mixed up with the server but this ain't your high school sophomore chemistry class, its a MC roleplay server. I enjoy the prospect of LotC being driven by fantastical forces, such as the four elements interacting with eachother in equivalent exchange to make things happen. It adds a lot more characteristic to the server than just saying that normal rules apply.

Chemistry does not exist in LotC. We have alchemy instead. Explosions in alchemy happen because of elemental imbalances. For example, if you have a potion with too much fire representation and not enough water, it'll explode because the fire representation will take over and cause such. I'd love to say that explosions are due to combustion or whatever (alchemist's fire would realistically fall under the combustion field: it reacts badly with air [oxygen] which causes it to explode in a fury of fire [in combustion the reaction releases energy in the form of light and heat]) but in LotC its all fantasy. Therefore, /chemistry/ in LotC is due to Alchemical imbalances. Sadly, the server does not allow this and everything happens because it simply 'happens'.

As of now this lore has no purpose stated in it and does not benefit roleplay in any way. I recommend you draw it out and give it intricate purpose. Why did Wyrvun choose /you/, was there any reason accept for your status as a devout worshiper of the Aengul? Why is he trying to give mortals magic? All aenguls have intentions and I see none here. This all has to be detailed in the Lore Post and not in the comments. Your sudden mastery of the magic is disturbing. Is this typical? If so, is everyone a master when they start? You think of an icy suit of armor and it suddenly appears onto you. Is this a basic of the magic? It does not matter if you are a strong worshiper. Even the strongest worshipers need to condition their body to channeling new magic. This also sounds awfully close to Water Evocation's Ice Evoking abilities, accept its seemingly overpowered and deity-based rather than arcane. I hope you understand that this lore would not be accepted unless you put it here for documentation purposes. You need to seriously draw this out and spend some more time on it, thinking the many ambiguous parts out. -1.

I'd like that plugin we had in Asulon that everytime you'd be out during a storm you'd have a pretty good chance of being struck by lightning and more monsters would spawn and such.
