  1. Look at this. An interesting and cool idea put out by someone who's magic app is completely ignored.
  2. 10/10 Would bang Ghoul Papa Parkins
  3. I might take a break from LotC. I literally just came back from a break, but I think it's already time for another, lol

  4. Within the limits of the Cloud Temple, an elderly man sets up a small fire pit. As the sun sets and sky darkens, he sets the logs ablaze. Many gather about the fire, interested in it's purpose. Suddenly, the elderly man, of human origin, opens his mouth and begins to speak. A symbol long forgotten has made itself known once more. For those of you too young to remember, or those who've forgotten history, allow me to share the tale of Ikuras, Lord of Fear. The Lord of Fear is a spirit, one who was freed from his prison and released into this world by the selfish actions of his cult. Through the sacrifice of a young lass; impure of body, but pure of heart, he rose from his dark prison and escaped into our world. His cult wreaked havoc upon the Descendants, slaying them in countless number, torturing them to harvest their fear, and even going as far as to infiltrate and corrupt an Academy from the inside. But that was not enough for Ikuras. The followers of Ikuras simply faded away, the cult reduced to memories. Though it has appeared Ikuras has simply vanished, he has not, and has returned. Within the cities of Laureh'lin and Caliphate, men have been murdered, halflings crippled, and worst of all... Children have been abducted and brutally tortured. To those who regularly visit the city of Laureh'lin, rumors circulate about a single guard, being attacked, mutilated, and murdered. His skin was bone white, black spots littering it. In some places, the flesh simply peeled away to reveal the muscle and bone below. Carved into his forehead, a symbol, that of a red star. The guard put up a valiant fight, but he was incapable of fighting off the servants of Ikuras. And as such, he was murdered and made an example of. Though others came to his defense, it was too late and the culprits fled into the wilderness. Upon his forehead, the Star of Ikuras, red with his blood, was left as a symbol of his return. To those who find themselves within the city of Caliphate often enough, they too would hear rumors and find the signs of death within the city. Within the Caliphate, more than just a single guard was killed. Instead, it was three individuals. One man was sucked dry of his life, his skin a pale mess, the flesh peeled back and spotted black. Another man, a man of plant-like origin, was badly beaten. Sappy blood littered the book store, staining the shelves and flooring. One can only assume he was forced into the fire place and burned alive. The third man too, was burned alive. His bones were found, blackened and charred, the following morning. Upon the pillar where the plant-man was beaten, the star of Ikuras is carved into it. Upon the skull of the man who was burned alive, the star of Ikuras is carved into the forehead. Upon the withered and paled body of the man, lying alone outside, the star of Ikuras has been carved into his chest.... Ikuras returns Descendants. We must be prepared for what may come to pass.
  5. What are these quotas? I don't mean to disrespect anybody or be bitchy, I just genuinely want to know what these quotas are and what they entail. I would assume with the lack of Dark Elf activity, their city/nation is getting wiped off the map as well, correct? I don't know how this works, I'm just making an example until someone explains. Thanks for the time.

There are no official quotas, and there never have been. It's a random choice that the GMs made.

    2. Moot

      Moot

Hardly Han. There is no quotas. People are mad, and are trying to demonize the GMs unfortunately. Halflings, Salvus, and the Cali all made a deal to get land (as they weren't going to when the map released). They prove they have activity, they keep the land.

  6. Skale raises a brow and looks to the peanut gallery. "I think I've broken into each one of these ruins for personal investigation.... Yeah, blocking them off is pointless. Allowing entry to those who are careful and only seek to aid the Elvish people as a whole would not hurt."
  7. Throughout the lands of the Cloud Temple, posters are hung up. Greetings and Salutations, My name is Skale and I'm currently looking to purchase ferrum. The amount as well as price range I am searching for as of now, is currently not decided upon. If someone who is capable of selling ferrum would contact me, it would be appreciated. Price and amount will be negotiated upon contact. To contact me, send a bird to Caliphate, as that is my place of residence. Skale
  8. As you travel throughout the Cloud Temple lands, you would come across the same poster. Beside each poster, three drawings would be pinned up. Descendants, An Elvish week ago, a fellow Paladin, who shall remain unnamed for safety, witnessed the creation of a Monolith of Corruption within nature. Since then, we've made attempts to reach out to other Paladins, Clerics of Tahariae, and the Druids, but these attempts have not been met with success. Due to this, I've taken it upon myself to put these notices up within the Cloud Tempe. A call for aid has been issued. If this Corruption Monolith is not taken care of, it will continue to expand. As of currently, it has only grown in size, spread to nearby grass, and corrupted a lake, turning it's waters a sickly black color. This must be dealt with and the land must be scoured, as more may have appeared. If you wish to aid in the purification of this land, please write to myself. I am Skale, Paladin of Xan, and can be reached within the city of Caliphate. Once you have sent for me, a map to the location will be returned to you. A time shall also be determined for when this purification shall take place. Skale Paladin of Xan The attached sketches: Seen here is the Monolith of Corruption, reaching skyward and corrupting the surrounding area. The corruption spills into the lake, and various bones of now dead animals are visible. The corruption spreads, killing all life within the surrounding area.
  9. Skale strides up to one of the various posters, reading the information on the creature. After reading it, as well as the update of it near the Kingdom of Urguan, he takes the poster, rolls it up, and slides it into his bag. Turning away in silence, he strides off. A small, obese hummingbird sits on his shoulder.

  12. "I mean.... I can see why this is worth 150 minas..." Skale turns away and looks around for a moment before moving about, setting up posters for the Eastin Dia Trading Company.
  13. Alright magic application, do your due.

  14. In terms of a Deity or someone you worship, if you have true faith and belief in them, you will not question their decisions or motives. So if Tahariae took in an ex-necromancer, a proper and true cleric will accept them just as Tahariae did. That's the whole concept behind faith. You do not question the decisions of your god/deity. You accept and respect those decisions. There should be no paranoia if your character has faith and love for Tahariae.
  15. To be honest, I actually left because a lot of OOC. It's pretty pathetic seeing people getting salty OOC about a character. You're right, redemption doesn't always require becoming a Cleric, but if you did the RP, went through all the OOC bull ****, broke down the barriers to get there, then you deserve it. And if you're worried about looking back because of taking in bad guys, you have a problem. Tah Clerics don't look bad for taking in ex-bad guys, they look bad because they cannot keep an order together and don't do ****. That's why you guys look bad. Not because some character's are seeking a better life and turn to a Deity to help them. I don't mind you using Skale as an example, because Skale is a prime example of a character that did a lot of bad. But that didn't stop him from coming back and doing a lot of good. I guarantee you over the course of the week and a half I've been back I've likely healed more people than most of the order has over the five months I was on break. To those of you reading this, don't let OOC change what you want to do with your character. Do what you like. Obviously you need to follow the guidelines and rules, but if you aren't breaking rules, then do what you enjoy. Because that's what roleplay is about. Not how someone thinks their clique are gonna look because of you. ******* pathetic. EDIT: 1. The Trials Lyuin put Skale through for Clerical Healing alone were as difficult as some of your War Cleric trials. What does this mean? It means Skale went above and beyond to prove to Tahariae that he was faithful and truly wished to serve. 2. He learned how to heal people. If Skale wanted power, he would of continued doing the magic he knew. He was already powerful. 3. You triggered me.
  16. "You need to actually fill out the application next time you apply." ............. really?

  17. Disconnecting Lyuin would probably make him the happiest man alive. As for me, Skale lost his Shade and started to nurse himself past the darkness. He gave up Ikuras and stopped practicing magic in general. Lyuin found Skale after he purged most of the darkness from his being, all because of the Shade being removed. So in terms of Skale, your logic/argument is invalid. I get you're upset about whatever happened back then, but this thread is not the place for it. Bring it to a private chat, the server doesn't need to read people arguing back and forth or bitching on a canon lore page. So all in all, move the **** on. EDIT: Lyuin wasn't trying to **** Skale and Hosper wasn't trying to **** all the Shades. If Jakir had control of his ****, he may of remained a War Cleric. Just saying.

  22. Skale steps up beside Sam, nudging his shoulder gently with his own. "Though I agree with you, part of me wishes we could of made an example out of the fool who openly threatened us. But as a Cleric, I cannot kill willy nilly." The half elf laughs, but there is no humor within his good eye.
