why do we even have forced /d20ing upon killing someone as a concept tbf. I've only ever seen arguments for it from folks saying 'it inflicts consequence' which is silly because it's bad-faith consequence that the other side won't enjoy and inecentivises boring *kills instantly* rp. also lootgoblins are bad. always happy to have my mind changed but I just don't see the logic

Bandit "rp" is the worst rp on lotc.
I love it when people just start lame ass combat 1 block away from you and then say "d20" afterwards, not giving you any sort of actual roleplay. -

We are nearing a year of Almaris and somehow it feels even less complete then it did when it launched.

Pretty much agree w/ all you said @SquakHawk. I do think [from an outside perspective] that some staff teams are too passive when it comes to the issues they're facing. Or in the very least they could communicate when they've hit a roadblock and the reasoning behind such rather then leaving the entire community in the dark.
