  1. As far as assassinations go, either way you're killing the person. 4-5 emotes loading a crossbow/bow, then shooting it, was always enough for RP Killing. I.E. >Adjusts his position in the tree. >Looks to Johnny Boy, gripping his bow firmly in his hand. >Reaches around, gripping an arrow. He pulls it from his quiver. >Nocks the arrow, beginning to pull the string back. >Takes aim towards Johnny Boy, inhaling. >Fires towards Johnny Boy, letting the arrow soar through the air. That was enough to kill someone (If you were aiming for the head), I don't see why it shouldn't be enough to start PvP. Usually assassinations have an entire conflict behind them. Over a past wrong, to get revenge, or something else related to interactions that happened before that point.
  2. How many antags does it take to open a lock? Over 8 apparently..

  3. 1) 8th of The First Seed, 1444. 2) I believe you can reference non existent towns in your biography. It's something that people from Aegis did quite often, although I don't know the policy on that now. Realistically, Anthos would be so large, there would be plenty of small villages and farms that aren't necessarily on the map. I encourage you to read up on different cities and lore, such as Abresi, Gronkkston (formerly Kingston), or maybe of the smaller human towns and manors that were destroyed. Try to keep your character lore abiding. If he/she was only 20 years old, he would have been born in Anthos, and not seen Aegis/Asulon/Elysium/Kalos, or lived during that time. 3) Visitors from what I've seen, are treated quite fairly. As long as you're not an assassin, and you obey the local laws (such as not wearing hoods or armor), you should be just fine! You don't need a permit to sell goods, but you will need one if you wish to buy a shop or house. 4) It seems like only a few weeks, but my sense of time is pretty bad. Quite recently though. 5) No clue, sorry. 6) Once more I'm not sure, I'm more of an elf person :3 7) Go out there and have fun! Don't be afraid to talk to new people, join groups, or go on adventures! Anthos is a big place, and you can find all sorts of interesting things by exploring. If I can help in any other way, let me know.
  4. Note that 'grew up' refers to when Kingston still existed. It is perfectly plausible that this character lived in Kingston before it was taken over and demolished.
  5. Can someone please explain what raid rules are broken? I'm confused because elves raided humans yesterday, and humans raiding elves yesterday. But today the elves get to raid, but the humans can't??? Some clarification pls :3

I witnessed an independent 'Raid' made up of like an orc, a darkie, and a few adunians. But not a elf raid... maybe more information is needed? Just because there were elves raiding, doesn't mean Malinor did it.

  10. Aislinn scratches his head, praying to the Gods of Patriotism. He suddenly evaporates into a pile of items as ominous text floats above his corpse. "Aislinn has taken 20 damage."
  11. Aislinn mutters "too late", before running off, crying enough tears to fill several rivers and a small lake.

  13. Throughout Anthos, several hooded figures begin handing out small fliers to certain travelers and citizens. Some find these pamphlets resting on their desks and tables; others might notice them tucked gently in their mailboxes. Each of the fliers is written in black ink, the parchment yellowed and old. They read: " We have been watching you for some time, and you appear to be fit for our type of work. Do you wish to be part of something greater? Perhaps you want access to His power, or perhaps you merely wish to escape the suffering that you see happening around you. Our work is obvious - the Druids, those in Malinor, and the residents of Lenniel were witnesses to our handiwork. Will you be one who watches and cowers in fear, or will you join us? Your task is simple - you must commit a single act that would gather our attention. We will contact you from there. " Every flier is stamped with a red 'A' at the bottom.

  15. As the moon shone down upon the tranquil village of Lenniel, the Horde ventured through the mountains. Men and women smiled, talking merrily and drinking in Lenniel’s tavern, while many others peacefully slept in their beds. They had no idea what was about to come; what would soon be unleashed onto their town. It began with the scattered homes and hovels on Lenniel’s borders. The farm houses quickly were consumed in the flame, many being destroyed by the dark magic that seemed to be haunting Anthos more and more. Some villagers ran outside of their homes, only to be cut down by the merciless cloaked attackers. A dark elf named Vulathri was one to have suffered such a fate, having been slain as he fled his homestead. As the town was alerted to the flames, shouts of “Fire!” and “Help!” echoed throughout the village, many screams not heard over the roar of the flames. Those in the tavern began to bicker, not sure whether they should help their friends outside, or leave them to their grisly fate. Outside however, much of the town was already set ablaze. A horrible construct was seen with a large hammer, crushing the bodies of multiple townsfolk in the square. Gauldrim, Theus, and multiple other elves would be found later - their bodies crushed and pummeled. The stalls and nearby trees were also consumed in flames, and the stables ringed of neighing horses, being trapped as they burned alive. Suddenly, High Princess Titania walked down the path, her crimson eyes settling upon the burning remains of Lenniel. She drew her bow and began firing, striking down the Horde with ease. Her valiant efforts were not enough, however, and some survivors witnessed her death; her skull cracked open. Her body was never found. Smoke rose from the city, and many came from Malinor and the Delver Ruins to assist in putting out the fires. Possibly due to just luck, or perhaps a blessing from Malin, the rain began to pour over the town. The fires died down, and the elves began pulling bodies and injured from the smouldering wreckage. For a moment, it may have seemed like they were finally at peace. Utilizing the attack as a distraction, another force of the Corrupted marched towards the Delver Ruins of Ac’Talarah. They came upon their massive stone gate, and whatever solace came from securing Lenniel quickly disappeared. The two opposing forces skirmished, launching arrows from battlements, while the Horde responded in kind from behind the cover of the forest. Some Delvers decided to meet their attackers on the ground. Vierna Kameki tried her best, but she was too was quickly slain. The battle raged on for what seemed like an eternity, and as dawn came upon the Elven nation, the battlefield finally grew silent. The Delvers shouted in triumph, having defended themselves against the Dark Forces of the North. Their victory was sweet, but earned at what cost? The bodies of Nienna Calm and Artimec, both Delver Regents, were found dead on the battlefield. As the elves in Lenniel and Ac’Talarah gathered their dead, many having been burned, frozen, or cut down, a single note was left amid the destruction.

  17. Nelo Thilling glances up from his burrow, hearing some commotion outside. He huffs, mumbling curses as he rises to his feet, opening his door. A flier is posted to the notice board outside, and he waddles over to read it. Foineleh.... He exclaims, a devious grin forming on his face. Mah toime 'as come! He retreats back into his burrow, taking short steps to his fireplace. Above the crackling fireplace is a worn but sturdy shovel. The shovel head is dented and partially chipped, and many marks and nicks lace the wooden shaft. His tiny halfling hands grasp it, and he brings it down. It's name, etched into the wood, fills him with courage and hope. Hope that he too may defend his people, and bring glory and honor to the Thilling family. He takes the Peacemaker ™ and exits his home, preparing for war.

  20. Mcname: Patriotic_Fool Forum Name: {Mentor} Patriotic_Fool Time Zone: -7 GMT, PST About how long have you been on the server? Since around Christmas, 2012. Why you want to be an AT member? I enjoy helping newer players, and I've had lots of fun being a mentor so far. I think I would be able to put my free time to good use on the AT. I see myself as being fairly active on the server, and I believe I would continue to keep up with AT duties should I be accepted onto the team.
  21. Aleris sits down, writing a careful and elegant note addressed to Mr. Karkun. " I do not possess any written knowledge on the creatures from the North, but I have a few interesting and unique artifacts that you may be interested in. Many of them were acquired from the ruins of Greywyn, some even taken off of the creatures themselves! I'm sure such objects fetch a hefty price. If you wish, we can conduct a trade of information of sorts. I would prefer to do such in person, however. ~ Marella Dawntracker "
