  1. I think adding a hunting profession would be a really good idea. This would take some load off of the ET's shoulders because they don't need to watch every time someone wants to hunt. However, I have a tough time imagining what you could give the profession that would make it desirable, outside of being able to fight bigger monsters. Better loot drops?
  2. Fair enough, but names should sound like something that could be feasibly come up with in a language. I think the first one is fine, because it's given a reason for its name. The other one I think might need some more thought. I'll admit, though, that I can't come up with any better names right now, so sorry for criticizing and being unable to give any alternatives.
  3. +1 but I don't particularly like the creature names. They sound too made up.
  4. I'm pretty excited for it. Definitely gonna make Axios feel very distinct from other realms for the Orcs right from the start. And I'll be interested to see if the Orgon plot line will follow us into Axios, because if it does the huge swarms of locusts could probably destroy the jungle fairly soon into 5.0 if they keep it going.
  5. Saraid looks at the poster curiously. "Hmm. Sounds fun. This could be good for a laugh'r two." She smirks, thinking up all the ways she could mess with the person rather than confront her obvious mental issues.
  6. I really like your profile pic. LISA's one of my favorite games.

  7. After reading this, thing I'm worried about, honestly, is that it feels like this will lessen the chance for the use of actual tactics in warclaims. The change not just to make it a best of three system, but also that it's in its own special instance, means you can't pull out too many surprises, and also makes the stakes for each battle, in my opinion, lower, because you'really guaranteed to have, at the very least, two battles. Minecraft isn't the optimal place to have something like that, admittedly. It doesn't include enough factors to make it realistic or as dynamic and interesting as it could be, but I still find it really interesting and gets my mind going. I think it still has plenty of opportunities to use strategic thinking in a lot of different ways, and this could stifle them. I realize to most people, this part of it probably won't matter, and I understand that. But what I would hope for, in the very least, is the possibility to do something like that, the possibilty to do something impressive not just with mechanical skill. On the flipside, since it'seems a controlled instance, that means changes can be made to the map by those fighting. This, to my knowledge, is not something that would have been very possible for most battles, but in this we are givenot a way, potentially, to make those changes; cover a field in water to make it all muddy, or remove cover on one side. This could introduce a whole new dimension to battles, because it would make it so that people think up not only strategies involving more than just the terrain that is already there, but also cause people to worry about the opponent messing with the area. It would serve as a way to make it less 'whoever lags less wins' or 'whoever has more people wins' because there are more elements that are not entities in play. A few examples of the top of battle strategies off the top my head that should not cause any extra lag, that would be made possible by this are things like entrenchment, the aforementioned muddy battlefield, and removing cover from one side of the battlefield.
  8. What do you think of the Great Finnish Conspiracy? I think the theory has a lot of credence, and really made me rethink my understanding of the world.
  9. I've gotta be honest, that sounds like a lot of fun. Will all of the dungeons be pretty puzzle based, or will there be different types of dungeons that would require different skillsets from the player as well as the character?
  10. Mrakal grunts as he inspects the area around the shrine curiously. "Hmph. Ez zhtreynge, diz ez liyk da kha'z goi, zhu moyzht un heyah."

  13. Mrakal rubs his wrists, his workshop absolutely coated in a black dusting. "Mmm, hao kun mi meyk diz kwiker?" He mutters, watching the sun fall down, having worked tirelessly to create but a tiny piece of black powder. Suddenly, he grins and runs over to his chest, grabbing a copious amount of redstone (4 pieces) and mixes it in with the sand. He smirks, happy with his idea, and eager to see the result.
  14. Mrakal smirks, sitting down on a nearby stump as the questioning begins. “Latz naim:” "Mrakal'Dom, hozhuzt gobo en da uzg. “Latz Klan:” "Furmurly Dom, bud evendz hab furzed mi tu bekum klanlezz “Latz’ Pruvhezziun:” "Mi ez Gobo uv meny pruvhezzhiunz. Tinur, minur, biznuzgobo, zhiyuntizt, tavurnmaztuh..." He continues on in stride for ten minutes, the interviewer eventually leaving without him realizing.
  15. I think there need to be a few more rules for turning something to PVP default rather than just saying it. If the person has absolutely no chance of survival, and it would just be quicker to PVP, then sure. Or if the person is powergaming, you can switch. But right now it is just the matter of one person declaring PVP default and it can really ruin the fun for a lot of people.

  21. Out-Of-Character Information The simplest section of the application. Answer these questions so we can get to know you a bit more. Please do your best to correct spelling and grammatical errors, this is an RP server and writing is the main form of communication! What’s your Minecraft Account Name?: - 2samspan How old are you?: - 14 Have you ever roleplayed on a minecraft server before? If so, where?: - Yes, on multiple. The one I sunk the most time into was Tales of Camelot. Have you applied to this server before? (Please link past applications): - I don’t believe so, no. How did you hear about us?: - Multiple friends are on the server. What do you think the server will be like? - Large and vast, full of opportunities for those who know how to use the tools given. Have you read and agreed to the rules?: - Yes and yes. What’s the rule you agree with the most?: - Keep with the server’s lore. Do you understand combat rules, and what you can and can’t do if you do choose to roleplay as a villain?:- I understand the rules of combat. However, I did not see any rules involving villains. I can assume that you cannot rape or be involved in pedophilia, given the other rules. Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense?(If so maybe we can help clear it up! You will not be denied for having a question on the rules):- As said above, I did not see anything involving villainy. I most likely missed it, but if I did could you please point it out for me? Definitions These terms are a major part of the server and in a few of our rules. Please define them so that we can get an understanding of how much you know about roleplaying. Feel free to Google the answers or check on our wiki, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not those of another website or person! What is roleplaying?: - Roleplaying is the act of pretending to be another character, most likely of your own creation or scenario, and acting it out as if it were them and doing what they would do. What’s metagaming?: - Metagaming is taking information you learn outside the game or something your character would not possibly know (i.e. the barkeep three towns over puts belly button lint in his ale) and using it in role-play. What’s powergaming?: - Powergaming is the act of doing something your character could not possibly do and/or overpowering another person without giving them a chance to respond. A petite 12 year old elf cannot bash the skull of an olog clan leader with her bare fist, and the olog cannot simply stop the elf from attempting to with absolute certainty by saying ‘I grab your fist.’ In-Character Information Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that you follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play. What’s your character called?: - Mrakol What race are they? (and sub-race if applicable): - Orc, Goblin What gender are they?: - Male How old are they?: - 31 Give us a highlight of their past, What life events make your character the person they are today? This is your character's biography. It is also required to include server lore when writing. (Names of towns, major server events, ect. Most lore can be found on our wiki.): - Mrakal was born, like most Orcs from Anthos, in San’Orka. His childhood was typical of a Goblin. His father worked on creating war machines, specifically those involving the throwing of sharp objects. When he was 8, his family was moved from Anthos to the Fringe, along with everyone else. In the Fringe, his father moved onto the battlefield, moving his craft of war machines and making them on active battlefields. The last time he saw his father was two months after he was enlisted. When he was 12, he was in the communal lab, tinkering with the assorted objects in there when something struck him. Is he deciding to do what he is doing, or was it decided that he would do this by the spirits? This thought has become his ambition, taking up most of his life. He has spent most of his time in his workshop trying to find an answer to this, to find out whether or not destiny does exist. He would pour over history books, trying to find whatever references to destiny he could in them. He would tinker with objects, trying to see if he could find a way to read your destiny, if it existed. But alas, he could not. As time went on, his interest in it began to wane. But it is still there. It is no longer the compulsion it once was, but he is still determined. He wants to understand the world, and why it happens. By the time that he moved to Athera, that interest has been rekindled due to all of the realm traveling he has done. He is prepared to do what it takes to finally find an answer to what he has wondered his whole life. What are they like? (personality): - Mrakal can be ruthless at times, like all Orcs. He is also very determined, prepared to go days without rest if it means he will complete an important task. Likewise, he does not react well to being proven wrong. What are their ambitions?: - To find out whether or not destiny exists, and if it does, can it be changed. Do they have any special skills? What are their weaknesses? (Try to list a few of both): - Pros: Can read, highly intelligent, good with hands. Cons: Dislikes being wrong, constantly thinks things are more complicated than they actually are. Give us a description of how they look?: - Mrakal is 6’3. No tusks. Dark green skin, almost like a crocodile. Typically wears a loose, coarse leather shirt with no sleeves and leather pants. Bald. Little muscle tone, even compared to other goblins. Please give us a screenshot of your character’s skin: http://gyazo.com/d0d44a8ebf348c75d3507eda9bbafed5
  22. 1. It says on the application something about understanding what you can and cannot do as a villain. However, I did not see anything in the rules involving villains. I most likely missed it, but after several rereads I could not find anything. 2. I'm interested in playing a Forest Dwarf, however I cannot find anything substantial about them to actual solidify my interest (i.e how many people play as a forest dwarf, where they frequent, etc.) This might not be in your jurisdiction, but I could not find anywhere else on the forum that would fit for me to ask this question.
