  1. Just because it is a norm doesn't mean it shouldn't be incapable of change. Not all server community traditions are beneficial for the server's narrative or overall experience, and its rule-changes as these that work toward improving everything. If players don't want to wait 2.5 months before they RP their next character, why are they making and taking such offers in extreme advance? It's not like these players are robbed of a character to play in this time-frame, I would hope they would be encouraged to just stay on their current characters instead of stagnating themselves for so long. Kind of a case of they are only hurting themselves with this. I don't think its really in any enforceable rules to stop people, either, from RPing a 10 year old for 3 months... but im ngl that is just a weird thing for someone to do because they want to RP this character that badly
  2. This is a non-issue My take is this: Characters should be playable when they reach the age of 10 and shouldn't be playable when they are 5 My reason: Characters can still experience early development to their stories at this age, and players can still pursue forum narrative posts to help form their characters before they reach this new playable age if they really want to. Otherwise I just don't think players should continue to play characters as such young ages for multiple reasons; that being few people accurately RP as them anyways (look at child super soldiers or high vocabulary masterminds who can travel across the map and survive with zero supervision) Most interactions with child characters feel incredibly non-serious, or end up just kind of disrupting immersion (and I know I am not the only one to have experienced this) That isn't to say that any other form of light-hearted RP or silly things shouldn't be permitted in role-play, but young child RP is just kind of its own separate niche that I personally feel just doesn't really belong on this server anymore and that no one would be at any devastating loss to have to wait a little bit longer to RP their characters when they are older. With this increase in playable age limit, players can still have a chance in forming their characters on the server with player and event interactions since they can still be very helpful in establishing a story. And for anyone who may argue that this is going to shave off even more precious time from RPing human characters.... not really, they live up to like 120 years old but most human players (for some unknown reason) still like to stop RPing them when they reach the harrowing and decrepit age of 35-40 before they make another human
  3. In the conclusion of the long and wretched night of labor and loss, when fatigue swept over all who had pressed through the small hours of the morning and into the pale dawn. . . there came the gentle disturbances to that thick silence. Beyond the murmurs of prayers in grief, and in hope, there was the coos of the young Sabine who remained swathed in her cradle.

  5. Who could i speak to about a strange series of new players consistently stealing one particular skin of mine?

Whenever I ask them how they got the skin, and if they could change it - I've either been trolled by them or given incredibly vague answers

There's another app up right now using the same stolen skin too

  7. ⋆⁺₊⋆ ━━━━⊱༒︎ • ༒︎⊰━━━━ ⋆⁺₊⋆ 🕂 “We’ve each our own place Within the gardens of divinity, And within our hearts it is secretly known; True name of Making, Who yet comes to us with different forms and faces.” 🕂 ⋆⁺₊⋆ ━━━━⊱༒︎ • ༒︎⊰━━━━ ⋆⁺₊⋆ It is often spoken of what the role of a shepherd entails. Most certainly and literally, a shepherd is a guide seeking to lead their flock toward healthy pastures and shield them from predators. In the eyes of many, the shepherd is wise and knowing, and treads upon a lonesome journey to serve those who are prone to aimlessness without such leal direction; those who would be laid bare and vulnerable to corruption and ruin. Yet error is commonly made in this distinction, for many make the false assumption of singularity to roles. A facet of independence and individuality is placed upon the name of Shepherd, who will persist in their mission without fault no matter what. A sense of pride and immense honor is cemented in such a name, and it is done in mistake for how drastically it ascends the bearer of the name above the rest. For the truth exists, that there is little division to be had between shepherd and flock; they remain two sides of the same coin; two horns upon the same goat. Two concepts wholly dependent upon the other. The stark fact shall always stand, that they exist as a cohesive concept; as one. Those who believe themselves capable of removing themselves from these moulds are only deceived by their own desires. No measure of power–fervently acquired through knowledge, birthrights, nor occult ritual–may carve our shapes out of this sacred garden of existence, nor permanently command the tides of fate and the Creator’s will. To understand and embrace this fact will deliver one to harmonic existence. Through our seeking of fate, we must not forget the owed duty of tending to the garden of our living. A duty and mission which will see no end due to the nature of the wheel. Where there is the shepherd and the flock, there is also the gardener and the garden itself. The latter serves better for descriptions of existence and our place within it, for it establishes greater connections between purpose and the importance of duty in tending to our fellows and the world which surrounds us all. Each soul to tread upon this realm of the Material abides by this, knowingly or not. Many hold the belief that our upheld duties are in preparation for the moment in which our immortal souls depart from this realm in the death of the Material vessel. While it is vital to maintain a virtuous spirit in our mission, our fate and purpose isn’t such a solitary matter - nor should it be treated and measured so selfishly. Not all of the Creator’s devotees pass through the Garden so swiftly in shortened lives as us humans, nor are all destined for the Skies upon birth. Warriors who devote themselves to the emboldening flames of Malchaedial in the name of the Light, yet sacrifice their seats within the sacred heavens for their service; Elves who persist in life throughout the centuries still remain dedicated to seeing the Garden of the World free from corruption; there exists more niche variables of differing fates and immortal forms of life, who yet remain dedicated to the upkeep of our existence. Yet there remain some who would utilize the wisdom of their long years to breach the limits of making, and seek to govern the garden themselves. And others, who delude themselves in the illusion of a higher rank of shepherd leering over the flock. Yet just as each soul is bound to sin, they are also bound to rise after the flame of Virtue; the mark of death and deliverance determines naught of the soul’s integrity - but how we bide our time within the rolling hills of the Creator’s gardens. Sister Solene
  8. Across the corners of the Empire, a sparrow’s thesis is posted. . . 🕯⚗🕯 ⋆⁺₊⋆ ━━━━⊱༒︎ • ༒︎⊰━━━━ ⋆⁺₊⋆ 🕂 “With all that we know of existence, We thus know of harmony, We thus know of balance. For, glimpsed minute fragments, Are the grains of the Creator’s poetry; The Material Alphabet.” 🕂 ⋆⁺₊⋆ ━━━━⊱༒︎ • ༒︎⊰━━━━ ⋆⁺₊⋆ The soul is water. . . The soul is flame. . . The soul is wind. . . The soul is stone. . . The soul is beyond. . . Existence is within balance, built upon a law of endless symmetry; it is gleamed within the fragmented grains of our realm, within the refined flakes of the land’s own essence: The Material Alphabet. There exists Life and Death; Light and Dark; Growth and Reduction; Order and Chaos. Yet, in spite of this cycling pattern of mirrors. . . There is no antonym to the Soul. The immortal soul is beyond the Material, hosted within the mortal vessel that is wrought of the Material. It is the essence bestowed from the Creator’s own lungs, His divine breath, which has sparked the tender flame that is our Spirit. We are both malleable and capable of shaping what is around us for this gift. Such a gift is what sets the wheel spinning, and delivers us as mortalkind bound down a long and winding road of destiny; for we are ever-part of this Creation despite our power to create ourselves. Within this egg of potential, we must understand what limits may come and the consequences to doggedly pursue those who overstep intended purpose. Fate and God’s Will are ever-interwoven, for all things; tangible and intangible; material and immaterial, exist by Him. He who is boundless to naught, and is the absolute core of Everything. He is both within us, and without; immeasurably beyond comprehension, yet so personally ingrained in our spirits. A mirror of divinity. When it comes to celebrating our gifts of potential and change, we must not be tempted by the endlessness of imagination and become unraveled in the desire of making. There is a stark difference to wishing for truth, compared to the reality of the truth itself; it is a dangerous, alluring reflection upon a pond’s surface in which countless souls have drowned in. Through temperance and humility, may we uncover true wisdom in our missions to rise up to our purpose. It is a fortress of the mind and spirit, and its foundations must not be placed with careless haste nor the tremble of a greeding hand lest we be promised unto ruin. By the conviction of Saint Avenel of Belvitz, did he condemn his kindred elves for the shameless hunger enkindled in the voidal arcane while he solely focused on weaving his spells and alchemic pursuits in the aid of the Light. By the wisdom of Saint Daniel of Al’Khazar, did he relinquish all fortune and power as a King to seek after spiritual richness as a wayward pilgrim. By the compassion of Saint Arianne of Ves, did she remain as a dutiful servant to the kingdom she was one promised to lead as a Queen; crownless, her service persisted. By the resolve of Saint Amyas of Yore, did he remain stalwart and constant in his efforts to unravel disease and remedy the injured in spite of what conflict surrounded him. In following the steps of the venerated, may we gleam fragments of their spirit to embolden us to seek our fortunate fates. Sister Solene

  10. is there anything else that might be done to reduce the massive fps drop that the geyser lands give you?  I've toggled off the particle effects from the plug in but will still go from 60 fps to 4 whenever a geyser activates around me, and I know it's not due to my pc specs

Someone already said it, but Minecraft IS just badly optimized. I would recommend picking a mod loader (I like fabric) and picking some performance mods (sodium and it’s add ons are a good place to start) if you don’t have anything set up like that already. So far I haven’t had any FPS troubles !

The LOTC plug ins are the issue. They're so badly optimized. Its been shown that we can have smooth running minecraft servers with lots of plug ins on a large scale

  11. Would anyone have a document of the full symbols of The Material Alphabet?  Many of the images on the lore page are broken and I'd like to reference them for an RP project

I was working on something similar awhile back and noticed a majority of them were missing, so I have a bunch of them compiled here for anyone to use (click the tab listed as WIP table), as I did my best to recover what I could from scraping through the forums and seeing how much Mordu had remembered from when he originally posted. It uses a mixture of the ones Benleft posted above that Zarsies had commissioned for BM and a few of the old images or otherwise what was deemed as suitable replacements; only a few are without replacement. I was hoping to get the rest commission at some point, but I hate spending money lately.

  12. the canvas pluggin will remain one of my favorite tech additions to the server genuinely creative, a fun and silly tool for building rp, and not severely debilitating / in your face for acknowledgement
  13. just boot this guy off admin already, his favoritism is blatant as well as his genuine lack of care for the server overall dude goes weeks without even typing in staff discord, ghosting his own team, being incapable of showing up to admin meetings, and is constantly digging his heels in the mud when anyone requests even a modicum of change from him he is not a team player, he is not fit to govern what he's failing to govern right now and the typical admin remedy of "wait this out for two weeks for the riots to go down" isn't going to resolve the issue keep making posts, guys
  14. its like they're trying to shoot themselves in the foot

  15. the amount of god awful implementations of these plug ins at the start of this map genuinely made me take a break from the server because i could not be assed to put up with it unrelated, i STILL get massive fps drops in the geyser biome despite having the setting activated to show less particles and my pc is good quality why cant techs be regulated as lore pieces are
  16. I appreciate the feedback and questions :) I've already had my character go through in acquiring herself a set of ST signed alchemy tools, it required 1 ingot The process, which I can expand upon within the Redlines for some clarification, in using the lunarite tools would be an identical process to an alchemist using aurum tools in harvesting the Aether Signs in extraction process. And as for whether or not the lunarite can be enchanted.... I would assume no, because I don't think I've seen anyone enchant their alchemy tools before. But honestly, I would leave that for ST to decide; my main thinking for including lunarite in this recipe was for its importance against lycans and trying to make this a balanced and dynamic recipe Edit: I tweaked some of the redlines to better clarify!
  17. The Shepherd’s Remedy An alchemical cure to Lycanthropy T3 : Rare Background: A chemist-nun had been introduced to the epidemic of lycanthropy at a young age as she worked as a healer, having treated multiple victims and witnessed the sheer brutality of their injuries. After extensive research into the nature of the curse throughout the course of her life, the chemist devoted herself into concocting an alchemical cure to prove what power and beauty is to be found in such a science so that victims must not rely on ritualistic spellcraft for aid. Recipe: BASE: Rain Water Wolfsbane Extract .5 mL Aether | Separation x3 Aether | Peace x4 Aether | Purity x2 Mundane | Clarity x2 Creation Process: Begin by transporting the harvested rain water into a glass bottle, if not presently in one. Stir in the measure of Wolfsbane Extract .5 mL, which is approximately 10 drops. Mix in the Aether | Separation x3 and Aether | Peace x5 measures together while the base is kept over a low heat. Once a soft steam rises up from the base, mix in Aether | Purity x2 and Mundane | Clarity x2 When collecting and handling the Mundane | Clarity x2 measure, the alchemist must utilize tools wrought of lunarite until it is mixed into the Rain Water base. Stir the brew until all particles are dissolved, ensuring it does not reach a boil. Store the cure within a sealed bottle once it cools. Administration and Effects: This cure must be administered through an injection into the bloodstream of someone afflicted with the curse of Lycanthropy, who has yet to undergo their first transformation into a beast, in which they shall have this affliction purged from their system. . . Once a full dose is received and takes effect, the cursed individual would experience immediate symptoms of nausea and acute abdominal pain, alongside profuse sweating, and sudden fatigue. During this time, movement and actions would be considerably hindered for the amount of discomfort being endured. These symptoms would last for four [4] emotes, concluding with the cursed individual vomiting profusely–an effective and brutal purge of their system having been undertaken. Redlines: Should this potion be given to anyone who isn’t afflicted with the Lycanthropy curse, or is a Lycan who has already undergone the transformation into a beast before, it would have no effects upon them. The act of administering The Shepherd’s Remedy does not require OOC consent, yet in order for the potion to be effective in lifting the curse, approval from the Lycan’s Player is required. Should approval not be given, the effects of the potion would still course through the Lycan yet leave them cursed at its conclusion. If the cure is to fail, the Lycan would be immune to further doses for 1 OOC week. If The Shepherd’s Remedy successfully cures a Lycan, an sreq must be made for their CA to be denied. Lunarite alchemy tools must be represented by a valid RP item pertaining to the material’s lore, and require 1 ingot to make them. The process of using Lunarite Tools will be identical to using regular alchemy tools for Mundane Extraction, and aurum tools for Aether Extraction; the only change is the material the tools are wrought of. The Shepherd’s Remedy is considered T3 and is Rare, meaning its recipe must be uncovered/learned through RP. ST Signed. OOC Explanation: This is intended to be another cure equaling the quality and effects of the other currently approved cures for Lycanthropy, aiming to be as balanced yet uniquely tailored to offer interesting RP. My character has been researching this curse for approximately 20 RP years at this point once she realized there was no cure to be made from alchemy. I didn’t want to just immediately shoot up a lore submission for it, and instead devoted my Solene character to trying to discover it in RP. I feel like I’ve committed to it enough to not feel like I’m cheesing anything to submit this now! Pixel art above is done by me on Aseprite Referenced Lore:
