What I've thought about doing is defining a goal for a certain character, fulfilling it, then moving on to the next character and repeating. In off time you do RP to maintenance the goals you've already achieved.

Thanks, that's a pretty good tip. Sometimes I get so sucked into one character and nearly forget about my others.
