  1. Make CT a small Village/Town on the coast where there are boats. People can either choose to RP their characters coming from the land we are in(Arcas) and make up a story of how they were raised, or they can say they arrived by boat to this foreign land. Instead of spawning in a place that is completely unfriendly towards RP. For the first choice of ‘make up a story of how they were raised’, promote community leaders such as Nation Leaders to write very detailed and organized descriptions of their RP community on the forums and wiki. For the second choice of ‘they can say they arrived by boat to this foreign land’, promote new players writing fleshed out backstories for their characters and using the available lore we have, such as Aeldin. Both of these choices will aid New Players in becoming part of our RP community and easily integrating them into the community. Many new players are commonly rejected from communities because they don’t fit the culture they attempt to join. Obviously, a magic-loving elf isn’t going to have a good time attempting to join a magic-hating culture such as Norland. It does not make sense to just let New Players attempt to join the community without guiding them through the many different Nations and Culture groups, explaining the do’s and don’ts of each group. There isn’t much need for RP in CT, just being a place to spawn, buy items, and be somewhat RP friendly.
  2. I don't know who you are, so I can't answer that.
  3. I have only ever actively played two characters consistently. A male and a female. I don't believe I have any other female characters, but a few random male chars. Never tried falafel. Been good. I don't know, I've been gone for 11 weeks, most Nations are probably low quality. I like the Lord of the Ring Trilogy. Kiss a camel. Yes. In time. No. Never.
  4. Mathew Malachi, my great, great, great grandfather. Why not? Yes. Tomorrow. 68A. Wanted to RP, so I joined LotC. The most fun I've had RPing, probs Arcas. Most fun I've had PvPing, Axios. Friends, downtime, busy schedule, ADD, and wanting a creativity outlet.
  5. Been here since late, late Athera, left during Vailor and came back in Axios. Haven't made an AMA before, I think. So, I'll answer the basic questions. Name's Gavin. I'm 18. My favorite colors are red, blue, green, and purple, grey is also nice. I have red hair. White as a piece of paper. Socially on the left, economically on the right. Don't like capitalists. Don't like socialists(commies). RP is okay I guess. I've been through Army Basic Training, not a Military nerd, yet.
  6. Graduating basic combat training tomorrow. See y'all soon.

  7. I'll be arriving at Basic Training shortly. Peace.

  8. Thanks for asking! I am going to be leaving soon for Basic Training, so if you have anymore comments or questions please address them as soon as possible. I will be leaving my lore in the care of @SquakHawk once I am gone, so address any concerns to him. I made an edit to the lore, giving an example of how 'strong' carbarum is against other materials. In reality durability is a combination of strength and hardness, so the clarification wasn't very hard to write. Existing Carbarum items will have this lore applied to them, and then they should be ST Signed as they are a Lore Material and are notable enough to need to be signed. If an existing sword of Cabarum exists, it will continue to exist, but will lose its sharpness unless one is able to sharpen it. Hope that addresses your concerns.
  9. Gonna be editing the heck out of this, forum formatting is the most atrocious thing. Edit 1: I am on the brink of death Edit 2: I am half way there... Edit 3: Note to self, never copy paste from a google doc onto the forums Edit 4: Finished.. Only took about an hour. Edit 5: The forums have cut out bits and pieces of the writing whilst I was editing it so that it wasn’t a pile of garbage, if you see any grammatical, spelling, or something that looks off, DM me pls. 10. The Secrets of Carbarum The Gem Metal [!] An ancient Vihai during the age of Larihei, donned in a full set of Carbarum Armor, a battle axe in tow. [!] -=- [!] A chunk of remarkably pure Carbarum ore, clearly showing its rather deep blue hue. [!] Carbarum(Raw) Color Carbarum, while raw, normally takes a shade of blue. Ranging from something in lightness to the day time sky, to as murky as the depths of the ocean. However, these variations in color are dependant on the amount of impurities in the ore. Specifically, Ferrum(iron) impurities. Generally, the lighter in color the ore is, the more impurities of this type there are. Yet, as said before, this is simply the norm. It has been noted that there can be other types of impurities found in Carbarum ore, changing the color the ore might take. For example, Aurum(gold) and Arcaurum(magegold) impurities found in Carbarum ore will cause it to take on a shade of green instead of blue. The more Aurum or Arcaurum present, the more vibrant the shade of green it will be. Arcaurum, however, tends to also have a bit of a brown tinge to it. To reiterate, the general rule of thumb when attempting to determine the extent of impurities in Carbarum Ore is simple. One, if it’s not wholly blue, there is something that is not Carbarum in it. Two, which also applies to one, lighter in color, the more impurities, darker in color, the less impurities. Ideally, pure Carbarum ore will be a blue in similar color to that of a large and deep body of water, preferably the color of water found deep beneath the surface. Carbarum ore can be RP’d having a wide range of colors, just like any other type of ore, if it has the right amount of impurities. Perhaps, the Carbarum ore has copper in it, so now the ore has a purple color, etc. The elements described in the paragraph above however, must be RP’d the way that they have been described. So, Ferrum(iron), Aurum(gold), and Arcaurum(magegold) must be RP’d as described. Appearance, Texture & Shape Carbarum has many similarities to obsidian and diamond, so much so, you can almost call them cousins. It tends to be quite shiny, with adamantine lustre to the extent of diamond. Yet, completely opaque, just like obsidian. Its appearance is not deceiving, as it feels just as it looks. So, one must be wary when handling such a material, as with both diamond and obsidian, they have edges which are as sharp as glass - if not sharper. Easily will it cut into flesh or scratch the surface of harder materials like steel. These sharp edges are quite common on any chunk of Carbarum ore, mainly due to its habit of being multi-faceted, similar to that of a diamond, furthering its reputation as a metal mistakenly thought of as a gem. Carbarum ore will always have the appearance listed above if it is at least mainly carbarum. So, 51%. If it isn’t mainly Carbarum ore, and mostly impurities, it will have the described appearance, texture, and shape, but to lesser extents that can be RP’d however one might wish, but they will always be lesser extents. Weight & Durability Carbarum can simply be described as having a weight nearly thrice that of iron if both were present in equal proportions. That is, if the Carbarum ore was completely pure, with no impurity to be found. Any other element that might be found within the ore would in most cases make the ore lighter, such as Ferrum(Iron), Aurum(Gold), or Arcaurum(Magegold). Though heavy, its immense weight does not reflect what one might think of as strength. As, when Carbarum is riddled with impurities in such a raw form it is comparable in durability to somewhat stronger glass. The ore will surely crack under the stresses of a lesser hammer, such as one used in the process of forging, small and light. These stresses are enough to cause the ore to crack and shatter under the strike. However, if one were to take a rather large hammer with a bit more heft, and dare to take it to a chunk of Carbarum ore, it tends to shatter quite violently. Shards of the Carbarum ore are quite likely to propelled in any direction with the strength of a small explosive, a shard likely to easily tear through clothing and thinner armors if it were of comparable size to a daggers blade. This shard, could also be lethal if it found its way towards your neck or a larger artery of the body. Yet, these volatile reactions only tend to occur if the majority of the ore is Carbarum, if it is too riddled with impurities, it is unlikely to have any reaction of this sort. Most known elements are not heavier than Carbarum, however for the sake of simplicity we will rely on an OOC measurement system for weight. 1 Cubic Centimeter. You can go to google and quite simply look up ‘weight of iron in cubic centimeters(which is 7.83grams)’, ‘weight of gold in cubic centimeters(which is 19.32grams)’, etc. Carbarum will have a weight of 23.5grams, ‘nearly thrice that of iron’. The word ‘explosive’ may be used to describe the act of Cabarum ore shattering, however it is no way comparable to any actual explosive. There is no force behind it, merely just the shards flying in all directions like shrapnel from a grenade. These ‘explosive’ tendencies of Carbarum only tend to happen if struck by something that has a hardness of 2 on the Mohs Hardness Scale, but something softer can cause it to shatter if done with ‘great’ enough force. Applications of Raw Carbarum Alchemy If there was any element within the Mortal Realm that represented the alchemical symbol of Earth, it would be Carbarum. Though brittle as an ore, Carbarum only is brittle because of the many impurities that are commonly found with it. Thus, Carbarum would still contain all of its inherent properties. If one ever wished to use Carbarum in alchemy, they could do so, however it is not the easiest element to use. Firstly, Carbarum does not dissolve in water or in any known acid, it seems entirely inert to such. Yet, if you so desired to use it in some way, one would have to grind it up into a dust and find a way to sort out the Carbarum from its many impurities. Easily done with a water pan, unless there are heavier elements to be found in the ore. Secondly, it seems entirely impossible for Carbarum to become a gas or a vapor, the amount of heat required to do such seems even beyond the scope of what is reasonable or possible. Thirdly and finally, it is possible to use Carbarum dust to enhance certains effects of a material in the forging process. However, these effects in most cases are entirely negligible and you would be better off making a tool of Carbarum instead of adding dust to a tool that is another kind of metal. Though, any tool that is forged with a small amount of Carbarum dust will take on a slightly blue hue, but primarily remaining its main color, it may even have a bit more shine to it. Symbols: Earth Representation: Resilience, Strength, Perseverance, Structure Strength: Strong If there is no lore in alchemy that uses Carbarum in its processes, it can’t be used to do anything that produces a desirable end product. It is too volatile, unreactive, and inert to so easily be used without a set in stone process being developed. Essentially, if you want to use Carbarum in alchemy, write lore that uses it. Red Lines of Raw Carbarum [!] A long forgotten dwarven mine, now a tomb. Perhaps, in their efforts of mining Carbarum they dug too deep…? [!] Harvesting Method Tools of the Trade Pickaxe Chisel Hammer Method of Harvesting Likely the most widely used tool of the miner’s arsenal is the pickaxe. However, most miners aren’t deep in craggy mountains delving for Carbarum. It is only suggested to use a pickaxe when mining around Carbarum ore, in an effort to break up the rocks and allow for more access to the ore itself. A single, misplaced strike by a miner with a pickaxe could be a fatality. Carbarum is a brittle ore and must be treated delicately, and a strong swing from a pickaxe is the opposite of what one would want to do. The tools one would want to use closer and by chance on Carbarum ore, would have to be the hammer and chisel. Easy enough tools to use, however, they must be used with caution. You are to do gentle strikes around the edges and on Carbarum ore, in an effort to extract it from whatever rock it may be in. A small mistrike from a hammer when one is using a chisel will not end so poorly. At most, a large chunk could suddenly become misplaced and lodged in your throat, however it would have to be a strong swing from such a small hammer when chiseling. You are most likely to cause tinier more minute debris fly into the air, yet that could also cause blindness if one isn’t careful. Carbarum is similar to glass, and dust made of Carbarum is like dust made of glass. On a final note, it is suggested that you use a leather bag made of cow hide to contain your Carbarum ore. It would be unfortunate if it were to shatter into smaller, sharper pieces when transporting it. Though, you may use any bag of your choice, the only suggestion being that the material it is made of should be thick and able to absorb enough shock to prevent further deterioration of the ore. This is only a suggested way of harvesting that is most likely to prevent workplace injury. However, should you want to harvest Carbarum through another method, you should take a moment to think of what your method could cause of it goes awry, and if it is likely to cause harm to begin with. Red Lines of Harvesting Carbarum [!] An Ironborn, deep in the snowy mountains of Aegis - equipped with a suit of Carbarum plate. [!] Carbarum(Refined) Pure(Perfect) Pure Carbarum is a material no metal can compare to, its strength rivaled by none. Its deep blue color like that of the deep blue sea is a trademark of it, incomparable to anything else. Its weight, still remains the same, thrice that of steel. The durability of Carbarum is partially known, for a diamond is able to scratch Carbarum, but that is not to say that diamond is harder than Carbarum, because it isn’t. Diamond and Carbarum are of comparable hardness, but that would be the only similarity between the two. As the strength of pure Carbarum knows no bounds, and there are only tales and epics to tell of the feats of Carbarum. It is said in Joren’s journey Northward, that in the Thuaid Mountains, he and his party came across a great mountain drake of tremendous size and stature. It came down upon them, burning carriages and men alike, but in the process Harren’s sword, which was of Carbarum, was caught in the jaws of the great beast. Though it attempted, the drake was unable to even dent the blade, and thus, while it was distracted in its futile attempts, a bolt from a ballistae found itself between the chest of the beast, killing it. With that, a tale of Carbarum's durability is known, but what of its strength against other notable materials of the realm? Knowing the durability of Carbarum alone is enough to tell us of its strength against lesser materials. As, even if it is unlikely for Carbarum to have a sharpened edge like Steel, it is fully capable of gnawing and biting into steel, easily denting a sword made of such inferior metal if struck by a rather dull blade of Carbarum. How dull one might ask? You could place it against one's finger, press down, and slide it across the skin and it wouldn't. Yet, if a blade of Carbarum were to be sharpened, it may even slice or shatter steel if struck with the force of man charging upon horseback. Carbarum is essentially a ‘really’ strong metal, incapable of being harmed by most things. It is suggested, that an ST also respect this, only actually damage Carbarum if they are playing a creature of great proportions that has rather unrivaled strength. For example, a ‘titanic’ draconic creature, a voidal creature of great magnitude and magical ‘prowess’, etc. Since Carbarum and diamond have a comparable hardness, that means pure Carbarum is a 10 on the Mohs Hardness scale. Carbarum cannot be sharpened or ground by anything steel strength or lower, leaving only tools stronger than steel as mundane methods. Impure(Imperfect) Carbarum may be the strongest metal known, but if refined incorrectly, it is as brittle as glass. Though, only under specific circumstances. Impure Carbarum has a unique property, where certain frequencies of sound will cause it to shatter violently. For example, a sword made of impure Carbarum may be able to easily be struck into a tree and appear fine, but if that blade was to strike iron, it suffers catastrophic failure. The sword would essentially vibrate at a frequency where the impurities within it are able to be disrupted and it shatters in an almost explosive manner, sending sharp Carbarum shrapnel in every direction. It should be noted, that impure Carbarum appears eerily identical to pure Carbarum, with the only difference being its capabilities. Weight, color, texture, hardness, all the same, but if you were to strike something harder than harder, impure Carbarum will not be able to stand up to its own internal stresses. Impure Carbarum will always shatter in an explosive manner if struck too hard by something with hardness of 2 on the Mohs Hardness Scale. Alloyed(Perfect) There may be some confusion between ‘alloyed’ and ‘impure’ Carbarum, but it is easily explained, for the difference is quite simple. Impure Carbarum is made with the intent of being pure, and thus, the impurities you will find in an ingot of impure Carbarum are inconsistent and unintentional and not properly distributed throughout the metal. However, with alloyed carbarum, it is almost always done in a way where the distribution is even and consistent. Thus, only if the process was done incorrectly and the distribution was uneven, would it also result in a rather spectacular shattering. Only Lore Approved Carbarum alloys may exist with the properties of Carbarum or other unique properties. For example, Verdantium and Bluesteel. Verdantium is an alloy of Gold and Carbarum, being a 3:1 ratio. Thus, 75% of the alloy is Gold. Bluesteel is an alloy of Iron and Carbarum, being a 4:2 ratio. Thus, 68% of the alloy is Iron. Verdantium does not have any property of Carbarum besides its color, when being nearly the same percentage as Bluesteel, while Bluesteel has greater durability than steel, carrying some properties of Carbarum. To say simply, metals act differently with one another, even if the percentages are identical. However, we will have a ‘catch-all’ rule for every other metal that may be potentially alloyed with Carbarum. If you wish to have an alloy of Carbarum of Platinum and want to have the metal carry on the properties of Carbaum, and merely just have the color of Platinum, it will be done with a 3(carbarum):1(platinum) ratio. Making the majority of it Carbarum. This will make a metal that is a blueish-platinum color that has the strength and durability of Carbarum, and just that. This may also be done in the opposite way. If you make an alloy with a ratio of 3(platinum):1(carbarum)(or 2:2:), it will have the strength and durability of platinum, and merely just carry the blue color of Carbarum. So, to say simply, one can be used as a weapon and the other used as jewelry. This applies to any metal, except for the ones that Lore Approved, like Bluesteel and Verdantium, Iron and Gold, respectively. One should note, if the majority of the alloy is Carbarum, 3(carbarum):1(platinum), and it is improperly made with many inconsistencies, it will still suffer from shattering. Applications of Refined Carbarum The mind is a powerful place, and the whims and wills of creativity allow it to think of many things. To put it simply, it would be impossible to list the many ‘applications’ of Carbarum. However, here is a short list of possibilities: Rods, Swords, Maces, Hammers, Axes, Polearms, Shields, Helmets, Breastplates, Armor in general, Pipes, Bars, etc. However, we will quickly note reiterate some of the properties of Carbarum, as the mind of the ‘layman’ may be able to understand that Carbarum is hard, strong, and extremely heavy, but not be able to then realize the consequences of such. Thus, not needed to be told, but kind to do so. As stated, Carbarum is extremely hard, finding itself placed with a similar hardness to diamond. Thus, it cannot be sharpened by a normal whetstone or grindstone, it is simply too hard. Not only that, but Carbarum has no spring to it because of how hard it is, so it cannot be used to make springs. These are only two things that cannot be done with Carbarum, and if one thinks thoughtfully and long enough, they will realize the many limitations that a metal such as Carbarum has. Due to the weight of the metal an individual may only wear one piece of Carbarum Armor, such as a Breastplate(with Backplate), Helmet, Gauntlets, Greaves, etc(Note, Greaves with an 's', meaning 2 Greaves. This applies to most pieces of armor that come in pairs). A person wearing a piece of Carbarum armor is unable to run. Carbarum cannot be sharpened or ground by anything steel strength or lower, leaving only tools stronger than steel as mundane methods. Red Lines of Refined Carbarum [!] A trio of Imperial Men in the process of thinning out a bar of Carbarum to make a sword for Horen’s 1st Son, Harren, before he would be sent North. [!] Refining Method There won’t be any actual methods written, but general points to understand of how Carbarum acts, and thus you may invent your own way of actually refining Carbarum. Mundane Carbarum melts at a relatively high temperature, around 5,722F or 3,161C, and is very slow to take in heat. However, it becomes malleable at around 3,434F or 1890C. There are a variety of methods to reach these higher temperatures, such as… Letting the Carbarum ore have more exposed surface area(by smashing it into a gravel or sand, smashing it into a sand would require much more work). Using flux to promote melting by enabling chemical reactions which creates more heat. Containing the Carbarum within a sealed container, thus trapping heat and disallowing its dispersion. It should be noted how extremely hot these temperatures are. The melting point of Steel(refined Iron) is 2,800F or 1,537C. The temperatures for melting Carbarum are rather absurdly high. What I get at, is that one simply cannot melt Carbarum is the average forge, as seen in most Smithys and Cities. A Dwarven Smithy is more akin to what is needed to melt Carbarum, but a furnace for melting Carbarum will always be of a rather large size, monstrous for melting something like iron. Thus, it is suggested that if one wants to melt Carbarum, a specialized furnace is needed. However, to make Carbarum malleable requires time and effort at a rather mundane forge, with perhaps a bit more work and setting up. Because of the incredible temperatures that are required to even melt Carbarum, it is suggested that one resort to instead having the metal be merely malleable, the introducing a folding method when attempting to produce a pure material. Continuously folding it over itself, over and over again until one believes they have produced a refined product. If the material was incredibly impure before, one should be able to notice the gradual change into color from its lighter shades to a more dark blue. One should also note, that these temperatures are easily capable of melting flesh. It is highly suggested that one wear protective clothing when working at lower temperatures, when Carbarum is merely malleable. Carbarum is very heavy compared to most other ores, so reasonably, one could use a sort of pan method to separate chunks of ore. The heavier bits obviously containing more Carbarum than ore. Although impossible to sharpen Carbarum with anything as strong as steel, options with metals stronger than steel in any capacity may be successfully used as whetstone, grindstone, or other variety of sharpening method for Carbarum. In any case, it is highly suggested to forge whatever wedge as thinly as possible. It is like that through this method it will always be rather blunt, not having much of an edge at all. Magik(Transfiguration Ritual) Transfigurationists are able to use their potent alteration abilities to cause fission and fusion, complex processes which can only be understood if one has worked with the metal. So, before attempting to transfigure Carbarum, one should put a small piece of the ore under the ‘metaphorical’ microscope and take time to understand its properties. No single Transfigurationists is capable of transfiguring Carbarum on their own, at minimum, three must be present to aid in the process. These three individuals will have to work with one another simultaneously to heat up the chunk of ore between them. They would not be capable of bringing Carbarum to melting temperatures, but to the point where it is malleable. The process of refining Carbarum may take quite some time for a group of Transfigurationists, it is suggested that one spend at least an hour of RP time conducting these activities. Having more Transfigurationists will make the process easier. All three Transfigurationists must be T5 and all three must have studied Carbarum to the extent of being able to understand the basic concepts of the metal. Red Lines of Refining Carbarum Purpose Carbarum is a piece of LotC lore that has essentially existed since the server’s creation. It is what people called diamond, when people referred to iron as Ferrum and gold as Aurum. It is basically the highly cliche ‘legendary metal’ that is good at everything and is ‘hard’ to make, though it is debatable about the difficulty of crafting Carbarum. Perhaps it being restricted mechanically made it hard to forge, or maybe it was just hard to do in Roleplay. Shrug. Here, I have added a bit more depth to Carbarum lore, included downsides, upsides, and overall fleshed out a piece of lore that has been left on the backburner for a long while. Now, it should be fully thought of as an actual finished piece of LotC lore, keeping bits and pieces of the old lore that past LotCers have written and branding it with new lore.
  11. this is not true, plating did exist in the medieval ages, electroplating on the other hand did not exist in the medieval ages
  12. With forward note, I 100% agree with everything you have said in this post, with a few minor complaints. Yes, you make the observation that poor Villainy RP is not the only problem LotC experiences, but also poor Victim RP. This is true. However, I feel as if this post is targeted at events that may have happened recently if you catch my drift. I certainly don’t see you as a person to conduct any of this behavior, but perhaps you missed out on the part where a settlement was raided 4 times within 10 hours, by the same groups of players that orchestrated it behind the scenes? Perhaps, that may or may not have happened, but as a person who has done his fair share of rule loop-holing and OOC abuse of mechanics. Honestly, I cannot believe any of what happened last night to truly just be ‘RP focused’. Maybe I've grown soft? I’m not sure, my time as a Snorlander tells me that groups will intentionally or unintentionally **** with people beyond what is acceptable. We had very strict raid rules that I think most people thought were acceptable, 10 people maximum, 3 people minimum, 4 day cooldown, etc. Simple stuff really. Do you think raiding a settlement with 3 different parties, made of different people, from different factions, within the span of only 1 hour is an acceptable way to RP? Especially when no RP is done and the players are downed and popped? I like your post, but I feel as if there is something wrong here.
  13. That’s a spicy paragraph, buddy. Particularly, the high elves aren’t “pacifists” what the hell are you talking about? And why do you think, if you want a pure race and you want to discourage interbreeding, what do you do when someone decides to interbreed? Oh, you use violence to break them up or kill them. Racism also isn’t “hatred of other races.” Racism is prejudice or discrimination on the basis of race. You can look this up and get the dictionary definition. I don’t know how to break this to you gamer, but not wanting your race to breed with others is still racism. Alright gamer since it seems you're going to call me out on semantics alone, lets get down to it. One, in the context of LotC roleplay it is extremely useful to divide the racism definition into two because of how High Elven RP is. Two, if you have ever been around the High Elven community, you would know there are a great deal of fanatics who endorse both side of the spectrum. Many believe any form of violence to be impure, thus, not in the will of Larihei, many others also believe that the 'purifying'(aka, violence) against the impure is still fine, as it is 'necessary violence'. So yes, there are plenty of pacifist High Elves, myself being one of those pacifists. So, yes, gamer, maybe my idea of racism doesn't completely align with the norm, but every point I said is still logically correct given I included meaning and definition behind everything I said. Also, if someone does interbreed, you can banish them from the city. If they resist, grab them and carry them out, and lock them outside the gate, I guess you could still call that violence but that is nowhere near melting people in acid, gamer. P.s. this is just my reference point as well, this comes from the literal high elven guide.
  14. Alright, since all of you seem very under educated in general world history, the Nazis are definently not the only group to have exercised racial or ethnic purity. The concept has been around for millennias. You should also seperate racism and racial purity if you want to actually I understand High Elven RP. Racism is the hatred of other races, racial purity is the belief in having a pure race, you can have one, the other, or both. You can easily exercise the thought of racial purity without having hatred towards others, a common belief in many High Elves as many High Elves are also pacifists. The Nazis were not pacifists in any form, they were extremely xenophobic and a militaristic group that desired the eradication of lesser humans. Clearly, there is a difference and racial eradication has been practiced on LotC many times before, not exclusively by High Elves.
  15. You should make a comparison of art you've made over the years, you've seemed to have improved quite a bit.
  16. Alright gamer, it seems like you're extremely high level(maybe around 40 or 50). However, nowhere in the dark elven lore(on the wiki at least) does it say anything regarding this. I understand that you may be upset and your tinfoil hat is likely in hand somewhere, but I, as a higher level gamer, ensure you that the LT is not purposely punishing the dark elves. Might I also point out that we are roleplaying on a fantasy server where we have a subrace that is quite literally grey to black, and not anything similar to what may be referred to as 'black' irl. Please gamer, I am going to assume that having literal near black skin color might mean that they have an 'opaque pigment' in their skin. I'm not a biologist, so don't take my word as fact, but I don't believe any of the LT enforce very extreme biological or scientific theory on LotC. :^(
