  8. Hanasun shook his head. “Torsten was too kind. Too, too kind. He gave mercy unto the elf for his lineage, for the Krag. I only hope he was making the right decision, defending Arberrang against warmongers.”
  9. Skatal, Bringer of Famine, Lord of Plague The World-Sphere took form. Land surrounded by vast ocean. “Could do with a few touch ups... Yes-yes, thinky as always!” He snickered happily to himself, clawing his way out of the burrow and taking in the fresh air. “Dissss-gusting”. The Rat-God observed his continent, his Carriers growing around the Burrow, it just worked. But he stood on his hind-legs and looked across the sea. He could see it, his beady eyes able to see the long stretch of water and land. “It must spread.” He gnawed the stems of his mushrooms, picking up five in his mouth before heading deep into The Great Burrow. Navigating his way through the Underpath was a lesson in treachery and cunning. He had more than enough power to finish off the beasts, but something in him resonated fear. Not now, perhaps, there would be a use for them later. His constant thoughts would be alleviated as he peaked his head out of the ground, emerging out of the great chasm that tore through the end of a continent. “Huh. Not where I expected, but this! This will do!” A large patch of mushrooms and Skatalkin would be spread across The World-Sphere! [Actions] – Shape Land (2 AP) – Carriers spread into a forest hex Shape Land (2 AP) – Carriers spread on a planes/grasslands hex Shape Land (2 AP) – Skatalkin infesting a forest hex Shape Land (2 AP) – Skatalkin infesting near chasm hex Shape Land (2 AP) – Skatalkin infesting a forest hex, on the continent on the bottom left [Total] – 10 AP used Red = Carriers Blue = Skatalkin

  11. Skatal, Bringer of Famine, Lord of Plague First, the land in which he inhabited, was rocky and barren. Only his creation, The Carriers, sprouted from the ground. But soon from the blue waves came creatures, grass spreading across with a verdant green. Blood would spill from the stronger and more cunning creatures, seeping into the ground, yet as Skatal observed, those that were not under the spores of The Carriers did not return to the World-Sphere. “Opposite of good. Not good-good, bad, actually.” He chittered. “My work is not finished, yessss...” The Rat-God ran across the World-Sphere, and using his craftiness he would sink his teeth through one of each species made, whether it be beast or plant. He lunged from the shadows to grab the smallest prey, and burrowed underground to trap the largest predator. The denizens of the Underpath were not safe, nor the apes and Venandi. Yet not all were bitten. Skatal’s teeth chipped at the rock exterior of an atronarch, and the mighty scales of the dragons were not even dented. He could not even reach the guardians of Lavrat-es’ domain, in fear of their divine retribution. Some naturally imbued with magic would be able to stave off the effects of the bite as well, but despite this he was still satisfied. The wound of those bitten festering and dissapearing just as abruptly. It had ran into their blood, the power of the Plague God coursing through their veins and soon their offspring, their entire species. A curse to all creatures, those that he could bite, at least. It was made certain: After their death, their body would begin to slowly rot. Their flesh would melt away not as through fire but from decay, leaving only bones to be picked by scavengers. It took time, yes, but his work would be done, even if not as thoroughly as he had hoped. The Carriers left much to be desired. They turned the land desolate but not those that frolicked upon it. No, he did not want it to become desolate. He took joy in the fact that some of those he had bitten writhed in pain. Perhaps, no, surely, he would, no, he wanted something more. As much as he enjoyed the suffering of the other creatures, he had to admit, these creatures were very nice. It gave him purpose! Through his own pain he used his own claw to carve out a chunk of his flesh. He molded it into his image. Small, four-legged. It would live among the other, but as a thorn on their side. Multiplying, spreading, living where it could. Yes, they would be his vehicles for his work in the future. For now, they were just Vermin. [Major Act] – The First Curse: All mortal creatures will rot to the core (for those of flesh and blood, this would be to the bone). However, there are exceptions, such as dragons (their hide was too though for Skatal to deliver the curse to), atronarchs (have no flesh and bone, and therefore can not rot), and the guardians of Lavrat-es’ domain. Basically, if they’re not effected by the Curse, then their corpses simply just lay there. An atronarch would just turn into rubble, a dragon’s corpse would just lie, etc, etc. [Minor Act] – Skatalkin: Rats. They’re literally just rats, except their fur ranges from dark brown to a dark grey and black. Their eyes are always a shade of red as well.

  13. Skatal, Bringer of Famine, Lord of Plague He remained silent. Silent through the other’s endless bickering, their conversation a constant tug of war. So he was silent. But the voice above all, Ao, called upon him. Yes, him, above the others, that much he believed. Called upon Skatal to create, to form, to shape the nothingness into... Well, that much, he was not certain. He shuddered from the voice of Ao, whose words were absolute. No, he could not be punished, no, no, no. Not now. Not when so much laid ahead of him. That was his absolute. And so, Skatal scurried in the nothingness, in the space that the Gods were and were not. He looked upon their creations as he thought. The World-Sphere, flat and white, given form with water and earth. One moon rose, and soon later, three followed in its wake. And in his thought, another absolute was made. “Yes-yes! They can shape the world, yet I shall shape a rule! Me, above all, me, I who brings what is not there, will bring it into creation.” Without further thought, the Rat-God opened its jaw and bit into one of the continents of the World-Sphere. Skatal’s teeth clamped down into the grass and deeper into the earth. The ground around him would shake, yet ended when red-capped mushrooms sprouted around him. The mushrooms would continue to grow and spread, although at a slower rate than when Skatal bit into the ground. From their caps, a cloud of spores, purple to the common eye, resonated. As they spread, the grass would break down, wilt, and die, yet return into the soil. ”My rule, my rule! All must return to the earth. All will feed!” After the initial bite, he continued, burrowing through the earth. The seas would not be his domain. No, it would be underground. Deep beneath the surface, yet far from the core, he reached the Underway. The burrow he had made collapsed through, a large hole within the continent. Mushrooms quickly sprouted along the walls due to his burrowing, and Skatal chittered. The Gods would make their realm? Then so would he. It was ideal, the other Gods were fools. For why deal with the future of mortals when they are so far away? Fools with powers. Skatal wretched at the thought but soon waved them away. Back to the task on hand! Now, now, what should he name his domain? The Great Burrow. For the Great one, he himself, rested in it. For now, Skatal curled up in his small form, resting. [Major Act] – The Carriers: The first mushrooms are made, releasing a large amount of spores that are distinctly purple. There is such a large amount released that the spores are visible, as a purple cloud. These mushrooms grow in clusters, and can even take over environments. They do not spread quickly however, and are fairly weak and easy to remove. They have no effect on immortals and mortals and never will, for it is Skatal’s first attempt at life. However, plants (trees, grass, shrubbery, etc.) as well as dead organisms are affected, and are slowly broken down into nutrients by the fungi. ((Slowly spreads, destroys pre-existing plants/flora and dead organisms unless counterracted, but if removed leaves behind large deposits of nutrients)) [Minor Act] – The Great Burrow: A gaping hole in one of the unnamed continents where Skatal resides, both giant in length and width. The Carriers grow on the walls, and reach all the way down to the Underpath. Serves as the shallowest entrance to the Underpath, yet is incredibly treacherous for creatures larger than an ((IRL house cat)). Not much too it, just a really big hole planned for later use.
  14. Forum Name: Ougi Skype: ReallyAngryBee God Name: Skatal, Bringer of Disease Appearance: Skatal appears as a large rat with changing size, depending on the situation on the epidemics occurring in. Its fur is for the most part a deep grey but contains bald patches at random locations, from where large clusters of pustules emerge from his skin and can often be seen oozing small amounts of pus. He has two buck teeth on the front of his mouth that are wide, long, and for the most part overgrown, obvious when they scrape the ground when he moves. His other teeth in contrast are much smaller, but are jagged and sharp. For the most part, his teeth are usually chipped from its time nibbling away. Skatal’s eyes are slightly red, similar to that of pink eye rather than a complete color. Skatal will appear as malnourished if the world is relatively healthy, to fat to the point of immobility if a plague has conquered most of the world. It all depends on the situation. Agenda: To Skatal, all forms of life, be it plant or animal, sentient or not, is a tool to practice his craft of disease-making. It continues to tinker with life, not to destroy it, but rather to torture it. It should not be mistaken that if life were to come under threat of destruction that it’ll fight to defend it. Of course, it does not mean he would care if mortals (or immortals) succumbed to his diseases and died, but rather if life as a whole was to be purely exterminated. Skatal seeks to find any way to annoy the other Gods or torment creatures for his own enjoyment. It will avoid direct confrontation unless it knows for a fact (or rather, is lead to believe) that it will win. Description: Skatal is a trickster and a troublemaker, its pure malice masked under its childish nature. Combat, nor creation is Skatals area of expertise, but instead planning in order to maximize the efficiency of its capabilities. Often Skatal will roam the lands itself, preferring to see what creatures would do and feel, in order to understand who and what it is plaguing. To that point, it makes Skatal giddy when it imagines the suffering the beings would endure. Skatal, however, is cowardly, doing whatever it can to spare itself from even the smallest bit of harm and instead sending a disease in its way. Skatal is inconsistent as well in its work, sometimes designing a plague to quickly finish off a population, or instead destroying their crops in order to watch them starve to death. The emotion that comes from suffering is what gives Skatal joy and motivation to move on, and this is reflected in its work. It will never get bored of what it does, and as Skatal believes: As long as life exists, then so will sickness. Skatal usually doesn’t directly involve itself for long in the epidemic process, either directly infecting one with a contagious plague or giving it to a plague-bearing race of his creation, its vast as its own imagination. Worship of it is appreciated and taken seriously, as one would expect, worship (and knowledge) of Skatal would be largely unknown. The blessings of Skatal are wide in variety, although whether or not one could call them blessings at all, is up to debate. Sample Creation: Plaguebearers, as Skatal called them itself, a sentient race made in his image both in appearance and personality. In contrast to their creator, the Plaguebearers are bipedal and are, by average, only slightly shorter than the size of an average adult man. These creatures forever burdened with the sick plagues that Skatal engineers, sometimes warped so far from being crippled to large, walking masses of pus. While they can set up communities, these are often done underground or within isolated, confined spaces, such as an abandoned house. They are rarely seen worshipping Skatal, for Skatal made them not to worship him through word, but rather through action. Following their name, Plaguebearers are fanatic to the point of suicidal, throwing themselves at a creature in order to diffuse the disease that causes them pain. However, Plaguebearers are weaker than the average man, and only make up for it in pure numbers. They are not very technologically advanced, instead living in terribly built dens that they have made out of the previously mentioned spaces.

  19. THE RAGUK JAW ⚙-⚙-⚙ "Da jaw? Latz azkin’ why da big red gitz got dem jawz? It’z obveeuz! Tuh zhow da uzg dat da gakh peep hozh upon uz!." - Morkar explaining to a young Glottgut FORGED IN BLOOD The orcs of Clan Raguk were blessed with red skin by Gazigazh, the inclination to forge the weapons of war by Gentharuz, and the urge to wage war and domination by Leyd. But in turn, the Raguks would worship their pantheon of three more than any other. This fixation with their venerated pantheon lead to the tradition of the bloodsteel jaw. There is no written recording of when it began to take hold in Raguk culture, but rather it naturally became an unspoken tradition within the higher ups of the Raguks in order to flex their position and wealth. In fact, these bloodsteel jaws are often created without much thought, an idea in the back of their mind until remembered. Yet still, their creation is a largely symbolic gesture to the three spirits. Bloodsmithing is an art taught by the powers of Gazigazh, mistress of blood and bone, while also utilizing the will to forge given to the Raguks by Gentharuz. And from the jaws does the dominating orders of Leyd come forth. But while done in worship of the spirits, they grant no magical powers. In battle, they provide a level of protection and offense at the same time, as headbutts would undoubtedly be more powerful with the heavy metal. Bloodsteel smithing is required for one to forge their own jaw and cover their tusks and teeth with a layer of the precious metal, yet if a Raguk was respected enough then a smith may recognize him. Just like the weapons they forge, no two Raguks are ever the same. ANATOMY The anatomy of a Raguk jaw is fairly simple, and can easily be varied from orc to orc. All throughout the jaw is it made of bloodsteel, but one thing that can be different is whether or not the teeth is covered with a layer of bloodsteel. Naturally, most bloodsteel jaws covers the whole chin while not touching the neck. The jaw wraps around the head to where the cheekbones are, where they are screwed and bolted into the orc’s natural cheekbones. The wideness of the jaw is based on how close the jaw reaches to the neck, due to the weight needing to be balanced between the cheeks and the chin. This leads to the bulky, heavy jaw that is often seen on Raguk Wargoths and Zongoths. Examples: Jaw of Glottgut’Raguk - A large, bulky jaw that stretches wide and low. Note how the jaw ends in an upwards curve, to where the bones of his actual jaw is. His tusks are wide and coated as well. Jaw of Hazurk’Raguk - A short and light jaw, which ends where the jaw begins to curve around the cheeks. They also do not reach far back to his neck, leading to a much more lightweight and less stressful jaw.
