  5. Idk what that is but ur a wizard just shoot a fireball (I have no rebuttal for this idk anything abt magic. Are your projectiles arrow strength?) Its not like people are going out of their way to be in melee range, but even if you're a fair distance away a foot combatant can cover most if not all of that distance in three turns. 2 dashes and a movement/action is 20 blocks, thats just a dude on foot. Bows theoretically have a long range yeah, but outside of events RP doesn't occur at that distance 2. Fair 3. I didn't read hunger games and katniss is a dumb name. Let people be Legolas, or, if it matters that much, put a restriction on how many arrows a person can carry on the armaments page, like how a character can only carry three potions, say ten or so arrows in a quiver or something. Though again I don't think CRP lasts long enough for running out of arrows to be a concern.
  6. I mean if its arrow strength then sure. Templar is the only magic I've ever rlly had, besides that, I was one of those full-plate wearing non-magic RPers, archers were and are a non-threat because by the time they were able to get their shot off I was already either 1. Using a shield, 2. Behind cover, or 3, already in melee range of them or thejr buddy. I would suppose the same applies to spells that are just magic arrows, especially if its a roll to hit. So true
  7. 1. Infinite arrows doesn't mean much when you're going to get 1 maybe 2 shots off before getting pulled into melee 2. Same applies to throwing weapons, crossbows, ******* ninja stars, and every other type of ranged weapon. 3. As is the general rule of 'roll and if its high ur prolly getting hit' has worked out well enough Let my people (aragorn larpers) go
  8. I don't hate this idea
  9. As it stands, in regards to action economy on LOTC, bows are, in my opinion, woefully underpowered. It currently takes three emotes to send an arrow down range, an arrow which is more likely, (due to the prevalence of plate armor on LOTC, and the fact its down to a flat roll) to do little to nothing at all. Archers- One of the three classic fantasy tropes (warrior, archer, mage) is basically useless. At the moment, _slings_ are more effective then bows due to their use against armor, yes, but also their lesser emote count. In fact, there's no reason to not bring a throwing weapon rather than a bow. They're quicker to use, and they hit harder. A goblin with a rock is currently more effective then an Elf who has been practicing archery for centuries, and that is kinda sad. The only events where I've seen bows be particularly useful are ones where the ET running it has dropped bows down to 2 emotes, and as for player vs player CRP, three emotes is a long time to waste to send a single arrow at somebody that might hit and might do some damage, while in 2 emotes I can throw an axe, a spear, or as I said, even a rock that'll hurt just as much. Make rangers useful again, make bows a viable option for people who want to play archer-types. But thats just my opinion, what are you guys thoughts?

  13. A NOTICE TO ALL LIZARDKIND [!] Several days later, in response to Dragonspawn's apparent recruitment drive, a squadron of ravens seems to take flight from the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, each one bearing a crude drawing drawn by one of the Starbreaker Clan-Lord's many grandchildren. Said crude drawings are air-dropped upon the mannish kingdoms, whilst one in particular is tied to a brick, before being dropped upon the Azdrazi's volcano.
  14. [MUSIC] Somewhere in Aevos. . . Along a winding, beaten path that could scarce be called a road, an old man garbed in a traveler's cloak, simple robes, and a hedgeknight's ringmail looked upon a missive, a twinkle in his silvered eyes, and a small creeping upon his worn, lined face. A smokey laugh escaped his lips as he studied the noticeboard before him. "Young Master Brandt... Somehow I knew you'd find your way there eventually." The smile waned, and his expression turned more somber. "Ah- Arnaud... A bright young man like you deserved a better fate. Nonetheless, I'll drink to your memory, friend." The darkening of his mood didn't last long however, as that old wanderer soon turned- He had been making his way west from the north, though at the news, he turned eastward. "Ah- I suppose a visit is in order at any rate, hm?" Humming a tune, Uther made for Aaun.
