  2. The Pact of Ancients 1927, 1st of Harren’s Folly House Darkwood & House Tsecsar have long been close allies and comrades, leading all the way back when Generalissimo DeNurem reigned over the Imperial State Army. With the rise and fall of nations and the dissolution of Oren, these ancient Houses of the Empire have remained strong: and thus they seek to make friends over that ancestral bond. ARTICLE I: Recognition I. The signatories of the Pact of Ancients hereby recognize each other as the legitimate Heads of their respective Houses and upholders of the remnant Orenian Culture. ARTICLE II: House Alliance I. The Signatories of the Pact of Ancients hereby agree to: - A pact of non-aggression. - A pact of political support. ARTICLE III: Growth & Protection I. The Signatories agree to support the growth of each respective House when possible. II. The Signatories agree to share information when they can of innovations, military advice, et Cetera that might benefit the other. III. In the event of things that threaten either’s respective Realm, or Aevos itself, the Signatories agree to offer military aid from their levies and/or willing & able-bodied members of their Houses. ARTICLE IV: Formation of the Remnants Accord I. Alongside any other remnant Orenian House, the Pact of Ancients agree to form the Remnants Accord to support the survival of, prospering of, and existence of Orenian culture. II. Should a House that meets the criteria wish to join, 2/3rds of the Accord must agree. Should that not be met, the House may reapply within 3 years. Signed, Her Excellency, Dame Viktoriya DeNurem Tsecsar K.L., Chancellor of the Office of Knowledge, Lady of Nuremberg, Matriach of Tsecsar, The Silver Drake The Most Honorable, Konrad Alren Darkwood, Viscount of Renduzzo, Patriarch of Darkwood,Viscount of Darkwood

  4. A once-critic of 'the Alchemist' leaned in to read the flier as she rested within a giant tower filled with gold coin and treasure, lofting a brow. ". . . I've misjudged. T'lass certainly isn't incompetent," that necrolyte rasped, gingerly setting the paper down. "A wise fellow. Perhaps I ought'e send her a letter."

  8. A figure leaned forward toward the noticeboard, impaling the parchment with one talon to hoist it into the air so it could be read. "Alchemy . . . Haense . . . Hrmrmfh. Someone wanting to spread this damned knowledge even more?" the necrolyte grimaced. "Already enough people making potions these days." . . . "Hold on! This is the damn person that stole my job!?"

  10. ORIGIN: The 'Aevosan Capypillar' is, as its name might imply, 'native' to the continent of Aevos. It typically dwells in hot, humid areas with lots of water, or around oases in the desert. It's thought that, rather than spawning naturally, the horrid thing was spawned from a noble family of yore attempting to make their menagerie more 'exotic' - however, had not expected the outcome of doing so. Since its initial release, they've become pests to true native wildlife, dubbed the 'Capypillar' for their build similar akin to the small insects. A Capypillar's typical habitat. Artist unknown, provided by Adobe. SUMMARY: The Aevosan Capypillar is a carnivorous, semi-aquatic rodent that can range from a meagre 5 feet in length to an astonishing 40 feet. They have bioluminescent stripes on their fur that draw curious prey near during the night, so that they can kill and eat them, as they're too lazy and physically slow to want to hunt. Their fur color can range from pale browns to dark, reddish, rusty colors, and even in rare cases, black. Not only are they carnivorous, but they become cannibalistic when there are too many of their own kind in a small enough area. Unlike the large, friendly rodents they're derived from, they're also incredibly territorial and violent towards other things as well. Most creatures who stray too close can risk being bitten, dragged underneath water, or even killed if the Capypillar hasn't lost interest - which it usually does, especially if it's eaten recently. To attack things, the Capypillar will often use its weight to crush whatever it's targeting, or try to encircle them with its body before crushing them akin to a snake. See Abilities for more. The Capypillar has thin, coarse fur, but thick, almost blubbery skin that holds in water due to their environment. It can typically withstand slices, pierces, etc. akin to leather armor, and when wounded, their blood is a weirdly tangy orange ooze. TAMING: These creatures are too downright hostile to everything to be tamed, and at best can be kept in a cage. ABILITIES: Revolting Bite Less of an ability and more of an unhappy accident, Capypillars have a bite that can lead to horrible infections if not properly cleaned due to the amount of meat they consume - which is sometimes already rotting. Dizzying Blood Perhaps a mechanism against possible predators, the Capypillars have a thick, tangy, orange blood that tastes akin to a strong alcohol mixed with citrus and spice. Smaller creatures that consume this have been found to experience vomiting and nausea, though, curiously, when Descendants have imbibed it it merely acts as Alcohol does. Consuming its meat has the same effect. GENERAL REDLINES: - Capypillars cannot be kept as pets or used for offense/defense against other players, groups, nations, etc. - Capypillars may be used for player DIY events or for ST events only. - Its saliva cannot be harvested to give people infections. - Its blood & meat are purposefully meant to give players something interesting to cook with: however, cannot be used as a secret ''poison''/etc. It's effectively a flavorful alcohol. PURPOSE (OOC): There's been too many wholesome creature lores recently. We need at least one weird one, guys.
  11. Very neat lore piece- only thing is, item that can create noise loud enough to disrupt concentration of void mages (assuming up to tier 5) is a bit crazy for something player signed, since that'd also affect other things (i.e. people /w some tawkins mutations, certain potions, etc)
  12. amazing pretty please put redlines and other stuff like that in Spoilers tho, oh my

  16. ⇈ OOC Information ⇈ [!] One particularly unpleasant eve, you head to slumber and are soon dropped into some hellish nightmare like none before. Flames dance around you, your colleagues twist and screech, a great light illuminates the sky. A serpent coils around your right leg and strikes at your temples, jolting you back awake in an instant – or so you thought. Your eyes open to some strange ritual of great proportions, legions of undead and demons at your feet chanting in a strange tongue and dancing around an empty goblet. A moment later, and you’ve finally awoken at last. 19. ✦ Part 1 of ?? I. Adolescence 1749, Imperial Time A young girl, clad in lavish frocks and shining jewels, hopped and skipped down a street in Oren to greet her parents at the door. Food lined the table, servants bustled about. “We bought the whole street!” her father cackled, gently ruffling her hair. She really hadn’t paid attention to the folk she’d seen moving out of the manors beside them . . . poor folk. “Ai. There’s just one other family - they own the other half. They have a son, your age, you know . . . Lloyd.” Viktoriya blinked and warily shuffled upstairs, crossing her arms. She closed her eyes, and suddenly, when she opened them again, she was overseeing a livery meeting, with some odd Pertinaxi Prince monologuing to her too close. Lloyd was only a memory, now, except for when he showed up outside of her home with a crossbow in-hand. A jealous one, he was! She was sixteen, now. “Lady Viktoriya! You … and I. We’d make a powerful couple, don’t you think?” the man quipped, grinning down at her. He already had little gray hairs peeking from behind his ears, and the woman grimaced and shuffled away. Yet every time, he’d follow, speaking about this and that - until another man stooped down and waved her off into one of the Livery offices, the Lord Mayor. “I saw that man was bothering you! We can have him removed, if you’d like. We try to hold these meetings in . . . relative peace,” the man chortled. The girl bobbed her head, already reaching for her pouch of mina. “Oh. Uh, no . . . bribe needed. I don’t like him, anywho! Ha, ha. Name’s Philip Pruvia de Cantal.” An aggressive knock sounded at the door, that Prince's voice resounding from outside. “Lady! Lady! I need to speak with you.” She cast a nervous glance at Philip, and he cast one back, before opening the door. “What business have you with my wife?” It didn’t take much more than that to have the man sent off. Viktoriya snickered, poising a brow as she sipped from a teacup in the palace. A marble bust of Peter III stared down at them, ever stoic and mighty. “That was a bold move. He believed it!” “Ai. But, you know, if you’re looking . . .” He was silenced by her frown, but continued a moment later. “If you’d like, think of it as a political marriage. Elevation in society, protection. Any problem you have, it’s gone!” The girl uncomfortably shifted, her gaze pinned on the lukewarm tea in her cup. After a long while, she nodded. ”If … you can prove that, sure. There’s this guy - I . . .” “I don’t really know him,” she lied. “His name’s Lloyd. Just get him to stop bothering me, please - and I’ll believe you.” “Consider it done,” Philip hummed. Certainly, this single decision would impact her forever, for when she woke and exited her manor, the body of her once-lover, Lloyd, was splayed not far outside covered in dirt, grime, and blood. Even then, he still moved. It was a slow, and gruesome death, and not one passerby dared stop it. A familiar figure hunched over him, surrounded by other masked hooligans, who quickly dragged it off and dumped it in the horrifyingly disgusting canal. A few days later, she was getting married. It was a grand affair, and they were sent off with gifts galore and a new estate to themselves. She tried not to think about what she’d seen - that man had wanted her dead, anywho. It was just one life.
