  1. A Voice of Silver Speaks 9th of The Amber Cold, Year 69 of the Second Age Far too long, have I remained neutral in this time of crisis. As elOkarir’tir, I found that picking sides was too out of reach for me, that my duty was to uphold the Silver Law. For a time, it did not matter what side I chose. The Silver Law has no sides, at least, that is what I thought. Ivarielle is not a woman of false promise. I have seen her mercy; I have listened to a silver tongue that only an ‘aheral could use with such fluency. She came to me, with words that brought forth a new light. What she told me, it filled me with hope for the future of Haelun’or- she is the only one who can truly promise elven unity. She told me of her plans to improve our economic stability, to ensure that Haelunorian culture is not lost, but revived and cherished with each and every breath. She wants to strengthen our military, so that inside these walls, and on this island, we never face a threat again. This is not a woman who wants to destroy us, she is a woman who is desperate to save us. I do expect slander, I expect the hate and the glares that will follow wherever I walk, but this is bigger than me, it is bigger than all of us. Far too long has Haelun’or been under the reign of tyrants who wish to hold power, who claim to want progress but stay stuck in the ways of old. It is men like Braxus Ni’leya, who claim to want democracy, then declare themselves Sohaer without even a single vote. I, personally, have never claimed to have been for democracy, before one wishes to use that to berate me. It is the heads of old, who deny that change needs to be made, who pull strings from the shadows- they are out of touch with what Haelun’or needs. We have lost our way, lliran. We have lost our grasp on the meaning of maehr’sae hiylun’ehya. We have been brainwashed to believe that things as they stood were fine, though, from my position on the council, I was watching hundreds of years of progress tumble down cliffs, all because we feared change. What is Haelun’or, if not the embodiment of progress? Who better to guide us into a new light, if not Ivarielle, the one with the means and the heart to make the change. When I first stepped foot in el’cihi’thilln, I thought to myself that there was not a better place in the entire world to discover myself. Many others have thought this, it is why we flock to Haelun’or, it is why we strive for progress. Soon, though, I discovered that the nature of ‘thill in this city had been conditioned to believe that it was our blood which made us superior. However, I was blessed enough to make peace with those who used their minds to rise above. To my lliran, I thank you endlessly for showing me the true way of maehr’sae hiylun’ehya. Thank you, Ivarielle, for showing me the meaning of fighting for what you believe in. You have strengthened me, and returned my faith in Haelun’or. Ivarielle, you have the Silver Law at your side. Haelun’or, I will continue to fight as your Okarir’tir, to maintain the true meaning of progress and health. To those that oppose us, I do not wish to see you harmed, but I truly hope that you open your eyes. We are not here to destroy Haelun’or, we are here to save it. Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya Ay’Haelun’or, Ay’Larihei Iphys Catullus Valwynn, Okarir’tir
  2. The Struggle of Karinah’siol ——————————————— ——————————————— Blessed children of Larihei, dark times are upon us, as you must have noted. In these trying times, an illegitimate bandit tries to assert herself as urthir. Of course, lacking the support of Haelun’or, she does so only through employing foreign troops, other ‘fennic bandits, to mercilessly oppress our people. Her lawless mercenaries are easily recognizable, lliran. They wear blue berets, and generally stink of sweat, by virtue of them being Mali’fenn and thus lacking all knowledge of the existence of perfumes and soaps. Citizens of Haelun’or, I beseech you to take care. The kinslayer’s bandits are heavily armed. I have just recently witnessed a most brutal massacre in the square, where these blue clad monsters maimed an unarmed civilian, and threatened many others. DO NOT engage them in open battle, unless you know they are heavily outnumbered. DO NOT submit to them, Mali’thill. Resist them at every opportunity. Mali’thill, I have witnessed them oppressing harmless civilians, gathered only to sign a petition calling for elections, for democracy. I believe they do not listen to such. I have heard the blues lament the fact that their chief bandit does not call herself a monarch. These people have no regard for democracy, nor can their minuscule brains comprehend such ideas. Mali’thill, arm yourselves. With whatever you have at your disposal. Bows, swords, knives, daggers, scythes, pitchforks or even your bare hands and magic. We must resist tyranny. But proceed with care, lliran. Do not engage in pointless bloodshed. Hit them only when you have the upper hand. Catch the occupiers unawares and terminate them. Time and numbers are on our side. And so is Larihei. I wish you courage, lliran. Be strong in the belief of maehr’sae hiylun’ehya. Be positive and believe that the Mali’thill will always win! ——————————————— [!] This inflammatory pamphlet is distributed anonymously around the High Elven city of Karinah’siol, throughout all its districts.
  3. [!] Missives flit with the wind in Haelun’or, about the bastion, they scatter. Expression of Truth 10th of The First Seed, Year 69 of the Second Age To Ivarielle, we recall your dubbing yourself as the ‘Silver Princess’, an ungracious title. We recall the shameful display, the debate where Sohaer Braxus Ni’leya offered you in a traditional Haelun’orian manner, the chance to challenge him for his position. We recall how you showed up late, supportless, and asked Elsohaer if he was ready to give up his position. He brushed off your inquiry, looking to the dais for the debate to begin, and in a flustered state from the Citadel you fled. We recall the demolition of our walls. The swarm that took to the city to pillage. The lives of our officials being taken. We recall that now outside their homes, your enthusiasts are attacking citizens. They do not wish to participate in discourse, they are irritated by it, since they are not Haelun’orians like you claim. We recall the path of destruction taken to reach today; this you chose over a simple debate. In your latest missive you make many accusations of falsities. It was befittingly titled, for your writings were in fact, a mockery of truth. First and foremost, the Republicans have not fled. They are the citizens that remain in their city that you continue to lay claim to, this much is obvious, or there would not be conflict within it. You are merely trying to paint a picture that you have succeeded in your plot. Moving on to the library. Nobody has lied and persuaded their way inside, you may ask Elokarir’maehr or Tilruir’nealu who are upholding the library, this is a baseless claim. You criticise Varus for sabotaging the locks when that is in fact what you did, barring the citizenry from reaching their homes, along with public buildings such as the Citadel. May you be reminded that the Silver City does allow visitors. Issue stems not from them but the Mali’fenn you invite to murder our relatives. Furthermore, no wounding was warranted. As you admit, citizens were ordered to surrender; surrender to ones without authority within Elcihi’thilln. Yet, rather than retaliating to their mockery with the barbarity they would get back, the highly capable group attempted to walk away calmly. The harassment of citizens to submit, some of whom you did not even know the stance of, is further provoking a schism you say it was to prevent. Malauriran bare witness to all of this. To the council who condone these actions and events; you have lost all jurisdiction. Not because of Haelun’orian’s beliefs, but outside the Fennic plague have been actively ignoring you as they think they now decide what is what in Haelun’or. They pose as if they are Elsillumiran, they do not respond to those councillors working with them, simply they are not in good faith. I ask you each this to ponder - are you with Haelun’or? You may not have known of Ayliana’s plot to ascend Ivarielle, still your words and actions show support for it - perhaps out of love for your lliran? Clear as the water of our silver isle we see that Ivarielle’s actions are not preserving Haelun’orian culture or peoples. Haelun’or, of course, is where these elements are. Ne active role has been taken by her to stop the bloodshed and impurity on the streets, instead, she has justified it. Do you accept a Sohaer who would watch idly as ‘her’ people, the Haelun’orian people, are slaughtered? Lastly, more mention of Ayliana. We all are aware she is a performer, she adores the spotlight, unfortunately she should only be kept out of it. The genuine adherents to Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya see through her words of deceit. Think she is not a deceiver? Take it not from us - but from her. In the missive, ‘The Schemes Of A Dove’, she explicitly details how she manipulated the late Sohaer Idendril Elassidil. Her actions were not in the interests of Haelun’orians. Rather, a self-serving display. Ayliana only cares for recognition, be it negative or positive. As for her claim to the name of ‘The Dove’, there is only one Dove in Haelun’or history, and if she wishes to be the dove so badly may she be caged like one. We, the citizens of Karinah’siol. MAEHR’SAE HIYLUN’EHYA
  4. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For the Spirits keep hidden from elves the means of life. Else you would easily do work enough in a day to supply you for a full year even without working; soon would you put away your rudder over the smoke, and the fields worked by bull and sturdy Giraffe would run to waste. But the creator in the anger of his heart hid it, because Malin the crafty deceived him; therefore he planned sorrow and mischief against Mali. He hid fire; that flaming wolf, but that the noble son of creation stole again for Mali from the creator the counselor in a hollow fennel-stalk, so that Neizdark who delights in thunder did not see it. But afterwards The Creator who gathers the clouds said to him in anger: “Son of Creation, first elf. Surpassing all in cunning, you are glad that you have outwitted me and stolen fire, my pet Scathach—a great plague to you yourself and to mortals that shall be. But I will give mali as the price for fire an evil thing in which they may all be glad of heart while they embrace their own destruction. But when he had finished the sheer, hopeless snare, the Father sent glorious Tarnished-Slayer, the swift messenger of the pantheon, to take it to Malin as a gift. And Malin did not think on what Larihei had said to him, bidding him never take a gift of The Pantheon's Father, but to send it back for fear it might prove to be something harmful to mali. But he took the gift, and afterwards, when the evil thing was already his, he understood. For ere this the tribes of mali lived on earth remote and free from ills and hard toil and heavy sicknesses which bring the Fates upon men and mali; for in misery men grow old quickly. But the tarnished woman took off the great lid of the jar with her hands and scattered that 'gift', all these and her thought caused sorrow and mischief to mali and men. Only Hope remained there in an unbreakable home within under the rim of the great pithoi jar, and did not fly out at the door; for ere that, the lid of the jar stopped her, by the will of Aegis-holding Drazkur who gathers the clouds, hie Aegis helding them at bay. But the rest, countless plagues, and impures wander amongst men and elves; for world is full of evils, and the sea is full. Of themselves diseases come upon men continually by day and by night, bringing mischief to mortals silently; for wise Ixli took away speech from them. So is there no way to escape the will of The Father of The Pantheon. Or if you will, I will sum you up another tale well and skillfully—and do you lay it up in your heart,—how the spirits, the gods and mortal elves sprang from one source. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  5. From the inception of our nation have we strived to the utmost excellence of the finer way of life, to be the brightest guides in our worlds, to show the way, to be an example for the rest of the world of Mali. Rejected have we done with the notions of Nationalism, from its evil inception amongst the echelons of the fringe--the lessers of our society who could not find their way to the world to see to guide it. The jingoistic impures who intend a struggle of eternal, pathetic notion of supremacy born out of their own unconfident stride as Mali’thill. They are beneath us. They--who seek so desperately to be something greater to excuse their own downtrodden beliefs, to commit to the values akin to Genocidal fanatics who would therein desire to make for the extinction of all other mali as a whole. I disavow them. I disavow our predecessors--those who burned and maimed and brutalized our own people--our kinsmen as their enemies beyond borders--for what--the dogma of purity? The belief they were--somehow, superior by existence. Purity--is earned, through your actions and in your words. Yet they--our serpentine lessers, would seek to undo our creations, of families, or security--for the bet of Mali’thill first. What sort of guidance to the world is that? What sort of teacher would that make for? They are pathetic--creatures of need who desire to be seen, heard, to want and desire, through threats and promises of ‘good’ times for the ‘Thill above all. They would seek to destroy this nation for the sentiment of what--the legacy of a dead Sohaer who died because he sought to make us enemies with the world? The Legacy of a dead man, dragged along the streets by his living counterpart like a parade float. Even now--the tricks of such a charlatan are exposed--claims of Democracy and desire to the old ways, preached by a tyrant proclaiming himself Sohaer. He would kill our nation before he would deem himself equal. The living blood of Braxus Ni’leya, is a parasite on the world. We shall not bend, nor fail to the old blood. I reject our insurgent lessers--those who would plunge this nation back into the depths of the fanatic jingoists. Who would bring back the torture, the murder, the violence, and the inevitable death of the nation the Okariran have sougt to fix. We will not go into the night quietly, we will not sit back and let these vermin claim ownership, we will not let them poison our children, our elders, our peers and neighbors. I say to them and I speak such as no threat, but a promise to our resolve. We will fight them. We will fight them today. We will fight them tomorrow. We will fight with growing confidence and resolve each day. We will fight to defend this island from the overtaking by radicals, regardless the cost. We will fight in the ports, hills, seas and streets. We will fight and never bend. We will fight not because it is easy, but expressly because it is hard. Never give in, and never surrender. Haelun’or will shine in the light of the rising sun once more, not under the banner of warmongers and criminals, but under the stay of Mali. Signed under the office of the Okarir'san A'eollaja Ello'janna Valwynn
  6. *Though the 'Peacekeepers' openly damage public property, their refuse is turned useful, Words painted on clay shards, easily found, left in street corners read as follows* "Ye, ye subversive snelf, know we know where you are from, surprising I know, for who could forget the dreary tribe of fenn? With culture soaked in blood sacrifice to fiendish gods of cruel war. YE, ye subversive snelf, know one can sniff you out not for the clothes you bare or the color of your hair, but for the slavish way of speech and countenance! You BEND before princes as though they were IDOLS. You feel warm inside do you not? When you kill a brother for your master? For even in those forlorn armors and nameless guises you reek. Ye, ye subversive snelf, why is it those you wish to slay cling so hard to their ideals? Because we have some!" ---------------------------------------------------------------- "Ye, ye! Tools of the sorority! To build the princedoms of others is to enslave yourself! You WILLINGLY Bend! To quote the valah. 'Whys'theou bendeth so?' Must be pleasurable! To know your mistresses take from you your very privileges! Though one can only hope such devout obedience rewards well. After all, the pockets of the usurper is lined with gold-a-plenty from the last nation she subverted. OH GREAT SUTICA, THE LOST LANDS OF OUR YOUTH. GONE, BUT NOT FORGOTTEN IN IN ANY UNSUNG DREAM. (Besides the dreams of the silver lubba, who personally profiteered from great Sutica's downfall, enraptured by the usurper[lovers?!]) Know all, know all. THEY are the ones who KILLED SUTICA. And they have addresses." --------------------------------------------------------------- "YE, ye forgotten ye downtrodden know ye know that I know. Ye seek not to earn the wealth, not to take it by the tip of your spear like sweet wine from the vine, but to instead resort to subversions and trickeries to achieve your ends. Know you are not king, but despot and dictator. You snuck into the walls of el'cihi'thillin like rats(mice) on a ship. You believe that to slay your opposition where they stand is fair and just when even approached for conversation? Know now your ways are forlorn, know now your ways are accursed. The letting of sacred blood is an act despised. So despised you forever shall be. Yeye 'Kin'slayers. Yeye Despots. Yeye Snelves." ---------------------------------------------------------------- *Citizens brazen with blessing laugh openly at slavish snelves! Oh how they seethe at truth!*
  7. To fill a vacancy An Announcement to the Silver State of Haelun’or As Issued from elHeial’thilln 19th of The First Seed, Year 68 of the Second Age “Rise - rise - rise… Maehr’sae hiylun’ehya will unleash our full potential.” Malaurir Dimaethor Elervathar BLESSED MALI’THILL OF THE SILVER STATE OF HAELUN’OR As the council voted for Ayliana Valwynn to take the burden of elSohaer - which she graciously accepted - it leaves a vacancy within the blessed silver council of Haelun’or. In order for us to progress, elHeial’thilln must function to its full extent. Thus, it is our pleasure to announce the seat of Okarir’mali open for nominations. elOkarir’mali shall be in charge of all peace time leisure of Haelun’or and to ensure that the silver elves are kept entertained. It is also within the duties of elOkarir’mali to run the silver tavern. We call you, mali ito thill to ascend – ascend to progress the blessed state of children of Larihei. All Mali’thill citizens of Haelun'or are eligible to nominate themselves and as the council has promised, democracy shall prevail; this means once the elections start, all Mali’thill citizens of Haelun’or may participate and cast their vote. We look forward seeing your nominations and urge all those interested to participate. Signed, Sohaer Ayliana Valwynn On behalf of elHeial'thilln, Okarir'akaln Usamea An'asul AY’LARIHEI AY’MAHERAL MAEHR’SAE HIYLUN’EHYA
  8. A letter of resignation An Announcement to the Silver State of Haelun’or As Issued from from elOkarn Akaln'leh 22nd of The Amber Cold, Year 68 of the Second Age "Heed to my words my brothers and sisters of silver, as our very nation is now threatened from within." An anonymous elf BLESSED MALI’THILL OF THE SILVER STATE OF HAELUN’OR None of us are perfect – we are all subject to failure however it is our duty to learn from those mistakes. Some time ago, I called upon a vote to install Ms Ayliana Valwynn as Sohaer and such was met with a unanimous approval. A unanimous ask for change within the Silver State of Haelun’or. I had hopes and I had dreams, a proper change to turn our silver society into a fully working democracy, and such still is a dream I long for. While I do think peace and dialogue is the answer, I ne approve of installing a tyrant who hoped nothing but destruction for our blessed silver council. We are not a Monarchy and the Silver Council is not for anyone to change without the approval of the rest of the council. Thus, effective immediately, I, Usamea An’asul offer the Silver State of Haelun’or my resignation from the position of Okarir’akaln. I wish the state all the best, however I can not support anyone who seeks to install a tyrant into positions of leadership without a democratic vote. It seems democracy is never the answer for those who are blinded by power. Signed, Laurir Usamea An'asul AY’LARIHEI AY’MAHERAL MAEHR’SAE HIYLUN’EHYA
  9. Eternal Library Recommendations 4th of The Deep Cold, Year 68 of the Second Age Open Library For all ‘The M&H: Part 1-3’ by Lucion Sullas A threefold series by Malaurir Lucion Sullas. The accomplished Mali’thill writes in this short series the history of Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya, its ideals and common misconceptions. I put this at the top as it is most helpful to truly understanding Haelun’orian culture. For the creative ‘Diligent ‘thill’ by Gusten Faeliel A poem of a dutiful Mali’thill. It is a patriotic piece. Such words written inspire great warmth! Restricted Library For oem’ii and messy Mali’aheral ‘Scrubbing Away’ by Sulraell Visaj Whilst not a task many of us take delight in, including the author of this book, cleaning and organisation are of utmost importance to a Mali’thill. An orderly home and surroundings contribute massively to an orderly mind. In this work an Arcasian cleaning expert, also a historical Sohaer, details proper methods and useful tips for cleaning with a satire tone. Tilruir'nealu Elarhil Sullas MAEHR'SAE HIYLUN'EHYA
  10. A HIGH ELVEN GUIDE OF HIGH ELVEN KNOWINGS: II So, you want to play a high elf. But you have never played a pointy eared white person before, so you have a whole list of questions. What language do they speak? What should my skin look like? What is the culture like? Within this guide, you will see a scarce outline of the average updated Haelunorian high elf, so you too can fashion yourself a high elf and bring yourself to the great Silver City. PART I: THE BASICS Where do they live? Within this map, the main group of high elves, often referred to as mali’aheral, is situated within the lonely city of Karinah’siol, Haelun’or, located right off of the east hub. Although isolated from the rest of the map, it is not hard to find one’s way, as the ferry to the nation is just one step off the port. Of course, those who wish to leave within other nations do so. What Language Do They speak? Like most of the elven sub-races, high elves speak common, or english with a touch of elven sprinkled within. While speaking the whole language is usually reserved for special events, high elven players will often have a small knowledge of elven during their character’s basic vocabulary. Hello / Good day: Karin’ayla Goodbye: Van’ayla Good evening/ good night : Ker’ayla Yes: Ti No: ne Sorry: llun Thank you: Ahern ito nae’leh Thanks: Ahernan Human: Valah Elf: Mali’ Pure Elf: Mali’thill Dwarf: Bortu Orc: Uruk Maehr’sae hiylun’ehya: Progress and health Similarly but not so, elves also tell time differently than human nations do. While most human nations go by the regular time dating system (1800, 1820), elves, and high elves use the second age calendar. Refer to the in-game command /date to see the date. What Should I Make My Skin Look like? A lot of high elven players make their skin have skin usually on the paler side, although exceptions could be made with the right backstory. Hair usually ranges from a pearly white, silver, blonde, caramel, to even red hair, and eyes usually light hues such as blue, grey, green, even purple. It should be noted that pale high elves with darker colored hair might be accused of being mixed race. Fashion is usually light and flow-y, but can range between events and casual day to day life with some who opt for full armor all the time.. Currently, female high elves wear berets and headbands. Long pointy ears are common! Elves can have beards but it is extremely uncommon. PART II: CULTURE Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya The main driving culture behind Haelun’or revolves around the phrase Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya. But what is it? What does it mean? and what does it have to do with Haelun’or? Why do high elves say it every five seconds? This phrase roughly translates into “The pursuit of knowledge and wisdom” , or more commonly, “progress and health”. Progress (Maehr’sae): Progress refers to the overall development of wisdom the Mali’aheral uphold as their ideal. A fulfilled life should be one filled with knowledge, arts and science. A Haelunorian high elf should strive to be masterful at at least one subject, if not multifaceted. This is typically where arrogance can stray from, as High Elves have a belief that they are overall of higher intelligence than the other races because of this incentive to advance and succeed. Health (Hiylun): The health part of Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya is twofold. High elves hold a strong care for their own, and ensure that every one of their kin within their walls can live with proper dignity, with a house, proper clothing, education, food, healthcare, ect. They typically live away from others and even go as far to mali’aheral and other races within their residency neighborhoods to ensure this. The second part goes in line with purity culture, and keeping the mind and body pure. But what is purity exactly? Purity Culture "Purity" within the culture is defined by how closely a high elf follows the maehr'sae hiylun'ehya, and is arguably split into two forms -mental, and physical purity. Physical purity pertains to the "health (Hiylun)" of the mali'aheral in question. A bloodline untainted by non-high elven influences is essential for any high elf within the city. Great respect is afforded to those with records of their pure lineage dating back the farthest. Physical purity can be foremost sundered by affairs and activities with non-mali’aheral. Depending on the severity, this can lead to imprisonment, banishment, death, or (for the luckier ones) social ostracisation . And although all high elves have different fashion, most are somewhat modest and cover up during day to day activities. However, it should be noted that invasive jewelry and tattoos are very taboo. Mental purity pertains to a high elf's self-discipline, as well as their personal demeanor. Mali’aheral that exhibit good form of mental purity are often calm and calculated, not letting their emotions get the best of them. This is not to say that they do not have emotions, but they don’t let it cloud their thoughts. High Elves who live outside of the silver city are also considered mentally impure, as they do not share the desires to heighten their kin. Simiarly, Pure high elves that live outside the city and do not follow the philosophy would be considered mentally impure. One can be physically pure, but not mentally, but not vice versa. PART III: CUSTOMS Fashion Fashion was lightly discussed in an earlier segment- but here we go into depth about it! First, it should be mentioned that there is nothing wrong with a little bit of shoulder! Even a shoulderless dress can be made very classy. One way a ‘thill likes to express themself is through the way that they dress, and the current most common way to dress is a modernized chique! Things such as hats, headbands, dainty clip-on earrings, fine pieces of jewelry, and sashes are all very in right now! Colors that ‘thill often wear are all ranges of blue, gray, purples, gold (made with the exception that it was not gifted to you, more in depth later), some greens and even pinks! Women usually wear skirts with a small heel and a nice blouse, adorned with cute bags and bobbles. Men usually wear something with drapes, and many have taken a liking to toga-esque fashion, which is completely acceptable as long as the toga does not reveal too much! Even headdresses are making a comeback! Courting Courting in Haelun’or is much different from what one would see in the valah communities or even other mali’ nations. Usually, relationships between ‘aheral are kept rather private, and public displays of affection are kept to a minimum. Do not let this confuse you- as the ‘thill are still very loving and affectionate! Oftentimes, one may first reveal their feelings in the form of poetry, gifts, events held in the honor of the one they fancy, the list can go on. Here in the Silver City, we do prefer to keep things more old fashioned. Gold The legacy behind gold in Haelun’or is a long and winding one. Culturally, giving one gold is like handing out an insult - as if insulting their purity. This stems from the Mali language, where Gold, or Acal, also has a secondary meaning - cursed. Religion ‘Thill do not have a religion. A common misconception about ‘thill is that they worship Larihei. This is simply not true. Larihei was a pure woman, who is regarded highly, but is not worshiped. Many ‘thill have conflicting feelings about religion as a whole - with many simply being agnostic or atheist, it is a wonderful idea to spark up a conversation about it! PART IV: EXTRA There are so many parts of Haelunorian high elf culture that have been formatted into smaller posts. Below, I have provided a set of links that one might find helpful or interesting when playing a high elf. 11. [Last day of Pompeii, Karl Bryullov] -=- INFERNO OF HAELUN'OR 19th of the Grand Harvest S.A. 68 The bright sun rose high above the silver city of Karinah’siol. The Mali’aheral of Haelun’or moved about the lower district as they attended to their busy day. All was well in the city of Karinah’siol until a foreign noise drew near to the city. Thill looked about, pausing as they pondered. As the noise - now identified as the flapping of wings grew nearer, did all citizenry pause, as if every time was stopped. As they drew their gaze into the sky, they would spot a large dragon, flying towards the city. “Form ranks! The wingbeast is coming!” shouted Gwyndolin as she rang the bell, calling for the Sullumir and all and any able bodied citizens to aid and help defend the city. Soon did the Silver City spring into action, Sillumir soldiers falling into rank and proud Haelun'or citizenry pulling out their own bows and crossbows, ready to defend against the incoming beast if need be. And lo, did the beast come, its body span larger than the very roads it flew over, bone and blood falling onto the streets as it started to pass. Sillumir rose to the gatehouse, looking for the defense system: the cannons. There was only one. Despite this, the brave sillumir started to load the cannon in an attempt to defend their city from the beast in flight if it made a move to attack. However, as the dragon passed, it became increasingly certain that the dragon was simply that - passing. “Do not fire! Do not fire!” urged the Okarir’nor April Viradiraar as she too rose upon the gatehouse with the Okarir’san, A’eollaja Valwynn. The okarir herself produced a bow as she eyed the dragon. “Wait till it attacks first!” “Fire the cannon!” screamed Gwyndolin as she loaded up her bow when the cannon had not been fired, with support from the weaponed citizenry from below. The dragon continued to pass, although with its large claw did it attempt to take the eagle of a building. “If you take that shot, you will be responsible for all the deaths that occur in this city!” Shouted the Okarir’san towards the Sillumir, eyes lit up to the slowly passing dragon. Despite the warning from the Okarirs, and the encouragement from Gwyndolin below, a mali’ker from above aimed and fired at the dragon. The cannon was flung, and bounced off from the dragon’s resilient body, but the damage was done. The beast flapped its wings, slowly making a turn. Blood and bones dripped onto the city floor. It was coming for the gatehouse. The Sillumir were urged to reload the cannon from both the attending Okarir’s and those down below. A guardsman aimed and fired, and unfortunately missed. And unfortunately it was a little too late. The dragon opened its maw and let out a breath of fire, directed towards the top of the gatehouse. Some jumped away, lucky enough to only get a limb melted off, but some melted in the very instant, turned to complete liquid at the furious creature. Citizenry fell into chaos, with some running for cover, and some outing themselves for the dragon with hope of saving their friends and kin. Unfortunately for them, the dragon attacked them as well. By the end of the day, the top of the gatehouse was completely melted - the city ruined with ash and rubble. Together, the uninjured citizenry attempt to pull the injured from the ash, and count the dead. The sun rose on a Silver city, but fell on a black one.
  12. {Art by atomhawk} To be or not to be An Announcement to the Silver State of Haelun’or As Issued from elHeial’thilln 20th of Snow’s Maiden, Year 68 of the Second Age “You hallowed harbingers of harmony, offer me your sword as Larihei offered us her guidance…” Malaurir Iaria Elervathar BLESSED MALI’THILL OF THE SILVER STATE OF HAELUN’OR We as a nation have suffered from one dictatorship to another, our nation falling prey to power-hungry megalomaniacs who are blinded by Iblees, who see not their subjects, but only their own lust for power. They act selfishly. They declare constitutions without the procedure of democracy, have the legislative body of Haelun’or vote on matters. They linger everywhere, attempting to turn our democratic republic into an authoritarian tyranny. As of 6th of Snow’s Maiden elHeial’thilln gathered to discuss the Elervathar Constitution that was published without the approval of Okariran ito elHeial'thilln. We deliberated and voted, voted to declare such illegal as we should have done far before the publication of this document. “Shall the Elervathar Constitution be declared illegal and thus not binding?” Usamea An’asul would call upon a vote, by the raise of hands the council voted. Okarir’mali Ayliana Valwynn - Aye Okarir’tir Iphys Valwynn - Aye Okarir’akaln Usamea An’asul - Aye Okarir’tayna Seth Calith - Aye Elesia Elervathar - Absent The Elervathar constitution shall be declared null and void. “I call upon another matter we shall vote on, to install Okarir’mali Ayliana Valwynn as Sohaer” Asked Lady An’asul, and once again the council voted by the raise of hands. Okarir’mali Ayliana Valwynn - Aye Okarir’tir Iphys Valwynn - Aye Okarir’akaln Usamea An’asul - Aye Okarir’tayna Seth Calith - Aye Elesia Elervathar - Absent By the authority granted to elHeial’thilln by sacred tradition, Sohaer Ayliana Valwynn shall lead the government into prosperity, and democracy shall prevail. We urge you, citizens of Haelun’or– we will return to our roots and once more Haelun’or shall be called a Democratic Republic. It is also the pleasure of elHeial’thill to announce the results of the Okariran debate! We wish to offer our gratitude towards each candidate, however only one may take upon themselves the burdens of elOkarir. The motherland never rests, and competent tilruiran will also be needed. Okarir’maehr Tiuthwyn Visaj Okarir’san A’eollaja Valwynn Okarir’nor April Valwynn Okarir’hiylun Kolvar Valwynn Welcome to elHeial’thilln Okariran, may your tenure be fruitful! 13. {Art by M-Wojtala} To debate, tradition and silver An Announcement to the Silver State of Haelun’or As Issued from the office of the Maheral 3rd of The First Seed, Year 67 of the Second Age If there were to be a choice, I would say remove power from the council. Do not let them have any more. It is simply too dangerous, and a repeat of what occurred under that Sohaer may lead to our race's utter extermination. We all know there are barbarians who would be glad to see it done. - Malaurir Lucion Sullas BLESSED CITIZENRY OF THE SILVER STATE OF HAELUN’OR, Our blessed bastion is as strong as it weakest link, thus progress must always be safeguarded. As we have many times before, the time has come to choose which citizens we wish to be responsible for directing the future of our people. The labors they face will be great, and they will not prevail without a true will to further Maehr'sae Hiylun'ehya. All those that have nominated themselves for the seats of Okariran shall debate, show the citizens why they are worthy of such a seat. These debates may include topics relating to the duties of a certain Okarir to the current political climate of Haelun’or to Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya. Good luck Mali’thill, may the odds be ever in your favor. The vacant position alongside their respected candidates are as follows: Okarir’maehr Leithedir An'asul & Elarhil Sullas & Tiuthwyn Visaj Okarir’san A’eollaja Ello’janna-Valwynn & Arasdir Miravaris Okarir’nor Pamphilos Hyptos & April Valwynn Okarir’hiylun Kolvar Trafina-Valwynn & Rune of Ahad Signed, Maheral Elesia Elervathar On behalf of elHeial’thilln, Laurir Usamea An’asul AY'LARIHEI AY'MAHERAL ELESIA ELERVATHAR MAEHR’SAE HIYLUN’EHYA [!] As the missive was posted, the Laurir would speak the contents of the missive within the citadel, filled with Mali and lessers alike. Candidates seemed to be busy with going through their notes, socializing among the citizens. “First, we begin the debate between the Okarir’maehr candidates. I advise the citizens to remain quiet and send all question to me on a paper via the courier that stands by the entrance.” Usamea would speak, inviting the candidates to the dais.
  14. A Wanted Man On the 10th of the Sun’s Smile, Year 67 of the Second Age, a heinous crime was committed against elSillumiran. Valazaer Calith, former Div’kinael of the Sillumir, stole massive amounts of resources from the Sillumir vault. It is unknown the exact number of materials he took- but each of the following stores were looted: Coal stores Iron stores Weapon stores Armour stores Aurum stores Not only has he broken article two of the Silver Law, but he has stolen from a government building, and betrayed his fellow comrades by taking part in such a venomous act. This constitutes grand larceny of the highest level. If Valazaer Calith is seen wandering the streets of Haelun’or, he is to be detained immediately. He is meant to be brought to any member of the Silver Council, where court shall be held, and he shall be prosecuted for his crimes. [!] Below is a crude depiction and a drawing of the culprit. Blonde man high elven man with light blue eyes. Very feminine looking. Last seen wearing a blue overcoat and brown pants. This man is a wanted criminal. Approach Carefully. 15. ELUHIERAN HANDBOOK 10th of The Deep Cold, Year 66 of The Second Age Eluhieran is a historic institution, founded 1719 FA by Azorella Elibar’acal, it was refounded in 1749 FA by Althaia Elibar’acal and again in 66 SA by Elarhil Sullas. It seeks to develop the minds and bodies of Mali’aheral oem’ii and create bonds, through games, campouts, educational activities and exploration. Eluhieran consists of the Scouts and the Scout Haeluns/Malns. Any child under the age of 50 may join as a scout, adults over the age of 50 may join as a scout haelun or maln if they meet a requirement. Uhieran Pledge I pledge myself to the Silver State and promise to be honest, fair and helpful, adhere to the Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya, and respect Uhieran law. Uhieran Ranks A Uhieran works towards badges to accumulate and place on their sash and with every three they receive a new uniform in a different colour, they wear these with pride as it signifies their dedication towards Eluhieran, and the Silver State. [ oem ] Ficóon Recite the pledge to get the Haler badge and become a Ficóon. [ niut ] Barbu’lentos Earn three more badges to become a Barbu’lentos. [ hael ] Tahorran’vallel Reach six badges. [ vailu ] Athri’valumuel Reach nine badges. [ kulin ] Vuln’imiruel Reach twelve badges. [ banih ] Chirr’ceru The most dedicated of scouts, reach fifteen of sixteen possible badges. [ laier ] Turr’thilln The leaders of Eluhieran. Turr’thilln means ‘Silver Sheep’ as the leaders act as shepherding figures. Uhieran Badges Once a Uhieran has completed the requirements for a badge, they can receive it at any time by giving proof to a Uhieran Leader, however Eluhieran will also have badge-giving ceremonies around the campfire. They handle money, keep records, even track orders - activities that are essential to running a successful business. Sillumoas A tasty treat isn't all that's involved with a box of our caramel and toasted coconut-covered cookies. Through interaction with each customer and other Scouts, a Uhieran learns the importance of keeping their word, doing the right thing, and being fair. Tagalaurirs A layer of peanut butter with a rich chocolatey coating are divine treats - but you know that every box an oem’ii sells helps them learn decision making? They make a plan, solve problems on their own, and think creatively - skills they need to be successful, now and in the future. Larihei-Ups A brand new addition by Uhieran Leader Elarhil Sullas, these crispy lemon cookies with sugar glaze have various inspirational messages - messaging that oem’ii learn to practice as a Uhieran. Uhieran Law [ I ] A scout is honest. [ II ] A scout is friendly and considerate. [ III ] A scout has self-respect and respect for others. [ IV ] A scout is careful of possessions and property. 16. {Winter Caravan by Aleksandra Medvedenko} On domestic and international trade An announcement from elOkarn akaln’leh As issued by Okarir’akaln Usamea An’asul 21st of Malin’s Welcome, Year 66 of the Second Age “Our Bastion’s wealth and security depend upon our ability to control and regulate trade, even if that means at the expense of our lesser associates.” - Silir Uradir Haelun’or has been known throughout Her history as the isolated state - from the time of the creation to present day - among the continents we have resided in. Such has been an asset for Haelun’or as we remain self-sufficient, we are not dependent on any foreign nation when it comes to exports and imports. Haelun’or has bloomed from the era of Malaurir Dio Astore to the era of Malaurir Elesia Elervathar. To remain progressive it is important to understand the value of external trading, the value of good diplomatic relations between Haelun’or and foreign nations, however not with the expense of ourselves. We must remain vigilant, yet open. I am thus bringing back something created by a former Okarir’san Silir Uradir - the seal of Elemyumiran. This seal will be granted on application basis to merchants that function within the Silver State. We will uphold and protect the rights of our government-approved merchants, who’s caravans will be sealed with the official mark of our Republic in order to ensure safe passage through the borders of the Most Favored allies. We require all trades associated with our nation to be conducted via these marked and traveling repositories. It is by this method that I ask the citizenry to consider supporting the introduction of enumerated goods. When a mali’thill merchant purchases goods to redistribute with a raised price (as is wise and just), or creates goods to sell, they will be required to filter certain textiles and items of interest back through the Motherland to receive the necessary tariffs. Any Silver Merchant would understand that it is their blessed duty to first provide for our Society, not just themselves. Any profit they make, some will go to our capital city (which, due to its elegance and continuation of our kind, is always in need of funds). During times of conflict it is important we remain open to dialogue and diplomacy, the usage of swords and spilling of blood is but actions of the uncivilized. One must always seek diplomatic resolution to conflicts, even when the swords have already been raised. On this note, I am letting the representatives of the Dual Principalities of Fenn and Nor’asath, the Crown of Elvenesse and the Ebonwood Principatus know that Haelun’or still remains open to dialogue and diplomacy– violence should never be the answer. However for now, all trade between Haelun’or and the aforementioned settlements shall be ceased until further notice. We implore the nations to reach a diplomatic resolution. Signed, Okarir'akaln Usamea An’asul AY’LARIHEI AY’MAHERAL ELESIA ELERVATHAR MAEHR’SAE HIYLUN’EHYA
  17. A Legacy in Need of Fulfillment Remember our fallen and do better in their honor. As the tilruir’tir to the former okarir’tir, and current acting okarir’tir, I feel as though it would only do the position justice for me to continue as the official okarir’tir, head of the haelun’orian militia. I’ve worked closely with the Okarir’tir for many years, and I am one of the few who can fInish the jobs he had the unfortunate fate of never completing. A list of my accomplishments thus far: The installation of new ranks The creation of a proper, working merit system Encouraged more active recruitment Weekly training and biweekly formations ((OOC: PVP events and Skirms)) Internal organization I have only been with elSillumiran a short time, this I am aware of. Although, it was in Sixty-One’s dying wishes that I take care of the SIllumir, and I intend to do so. Without me, elSillumiran would not only lack proper organization, but also the proper skills needed to fight. I want to honor the former head, and also create a military that Haelun’or can rely on to protect its citizens. I wish to bring about a home for those who choose to serve. It is our duty as Sillumir to ensure that Haelun’or does not fall to petty banditry, internal conflict, and raiding. Immediate Plans for Sillumir: Fighting for proper payment/Compensation for Sillumir in conjunction with okarir’akaln Promote Steady recruitment, as there will now be a quota for the number of new recruits each elven month Citizen combat lessons, free of charge. New and improved armour. Long Term Plans for Sillumir: The creation of a navy Improve our National Relations with other militaries and smaller mercenary groups in conjunction with okarir’san Establishing more leadership within the ranks in order to properly divert power and workload Thank you, for your time and consideration. I wish a bright future for Haelun’or, where we do not live in fear for what the coming times will bring. Fear, it tears us apart- but our sense of community, that will never waver. Maehr’sae Hiylun’eyha.
  18. A tome, clad in white leather and silvered corners, sits neatly and prominently near the entrance of the Eternal Library. PURITY WITHIN MAEHR'SAE HIYLUN'EHYA THILLN MAEHR'SAE HIYLUNEHYA'LEH A brief explanation for oem'ii and refresher for new returnees. FOREWORD To the lliran that read this - Karin'ayla, ker'ehya. Welcome to elcihi'thilln - The City of Silver, the City of the Pure. You have been admitted because you passed the first of our tests - of nominal intelligence! Congratulations - but this is where the important part begins. Few truly understand our culture, even within elcihi, even among the aheralan. This is the first in a long step of guides meant to remedy that - and as such, I will tackle the heaviest of our subjects, that of maehr'sae hiylun'ehya and of purity. Do not mistake it for be-all and end-all - part of our oft-shouted catchphrase is constant learning. Let us begin before I bore you further. ay'Larihei, Veluthri eltalonnii Elibar'acal MAEHR'SAE HIYLUN'EHYA At its unadulterated core, maehr'sae hiylun'ehya means the following - "Progress", maehr'sae, and "Health", hiylun. Many of us shout it, and often - but what does it actually mean? Progress - maehr'sae - this is the constant movement forwards in society and in personal life. What does it actually mean? To read and know what came before, so that it can be applied to what comes next. To write, so that those that come next might learn from those that came before. To know the reasons behind traditions, so that the worthless are removed and the worthwhile continue. To understand the line between progress, where lives are better, and madness, where it injures health of person and of state. To understand the background behind cultures of lesser races - for even wolves have ideas and aspects that can be integrated into our blessed society. Health - hiylun - this encompasses all of life, but especially mind and body. It is for health that we do not pierce ourselves unnecessarily, nor fight with blades where we can win with words, nor couple with the lesser races - for such a coupling would result in a degeneration of our many blessings. But just as important as the body is the mind - protecting ourselves from insanity, from degradation into stupidity, from corruption of the ideals of progress and health. This also refers to the health of the state, of the community, and of the family unit. It is from this that Purity is derived. PURITY Cited constantly by the lesser races as the reason for our transgressions, and by us as the reasons for many deeds, both fair and false - Purity is the concept of self-perfection in health. Some frequent questions, and their answers, are detailed below. Do we hate the lesser races? Should we respond to their insults? We do not - for do you hate the squirrel and spew curses at it as it eats pine-nuts? Nonmali are as the squirrel, living entire generations within the time many of us spend pondering particularly profound poems. That they can speak is of little consequence - an annoyance, perhaps, like the cooing of an owl when one is trying to write, but little more. The 'thilln cares not for the insults thrown by those the age of an 'ame oem'ii, but half as wise and twice as crude. Do we hate other mali? They are less than, but not lesser - Larihei did not lead our unfortunate cousins to enlightenment, but we are from the same history and of the same base. To couple with one would be to invite the many deviations left in those that did not follow to the Motherland - the inability to act for the family or group of the 'ker, the nativism of the 'ame, the insanity of our most unfortunate cousins in the 'fenn. Tolerate their conversations where possible, but do not let them pull you back into the dark of Malin's teachings. Pity them, but do not hate them. And what about the 'ata? This is the exception to the rule. The 'ata are those that were born much like us - blessed in form, given the same opportunities for growth and well-being - but squandered it, choosing to live like animals or as deranged dark mages. Mali'ata are to be despised, and rightly so - for they are those that would rather destroy a place than improve themselves. Is bloodline an indicator of purity? Not necessarily - often our brethren have been led astray, indoctrinated when they perceive issues in our State. Yet see their fates; a fallen councillor joined the Druidic Grove and has degenerated into dancing around fires. A bookish woman of my own blessed Talonnii attempted to assassinate the man that raised her, then escaped abroad to plot against Haelun'or even after it had forgiven her. Better blood often indicates a better starting position - but not always. What makes the pure better? This is simple - with no other factors, would you rather have a healthy, intelligent man as your ally, or a crippled, insane one? In the same way, we keep company with others that pursue healthiness of mind and body, that pursue progress in learning and life, and that share in our blessings. We separate and cast away the chaff, so to speak, so that we needn't waste our time with pointless endeavors.

  20. [!] Flyers are pinned all around Karinah'siol! MISSING 6th of The Deep Cold, Year 60 of the Second Age My beloved racing snail, Seth, is missing. I am offering a reward for the return of him. It is unlikely he has surpassed the city walls, as snails are very slow creatures. I think it may be helpful to note some facts about Seth: - Seth likes to be in shady places. - Seth also enjoys fruits. - Snails do leave trails, so please do keep an eye out for them. Please find me if you retrieve Seth. Elarhil Sullas
  21. (Part 1 of a couple part mythic epic about truly ancient times) Na Yallir Na Prenu Talar'Asul -------------------- The scene is set, A silver moon rides the sky, straddling a sublime city of purest marble and finest construction. The beautiful Mali'aheral, with their poets-a-canter, and maiden song singing, living their lives of plenty. Blessed are they, who dance amongst her white columns, sweet smells rise, and great friendships struck. In this scene, a symposium of comrades. The brothers few, who share with each other boasts and beratements, laughter, and love, gifts offered freely to one another. Together they strike out and make the night their own. Gathered they did, as the blessings flowed freely as gifts of their splendid lives. Salt and Fish from the sea, Fruits and Nuts from the hills, Sweet, sparkling Wine from the Vine. The Symposiasts gathered together for great intent, as these were the times where tongue is tempered in the ring of philosophy and debate. "What is the way to live?" The bronze-haired 'Aheral asked, his hand grasping only the juiciest grapes. "To be free of worry, far from battle, and the prater of lessers, where you have chance to cultivate" An 'aheral responds, his feet hiked as he drinks watered wine from the amphorae Another interjects, drizzling his comrade and himself with oil "That may be part of it, but truly one lives best when he is challenged" His wrestling partner returns as they lock together in a grapple. "I must not be living to the fullest then!" she exclaims before pinning her opponent. As the others drank their water and wine, the young 'Aheral, Son of a beautiful mother, bronzed by the blessed rays of the sun, his body molded by honor-heft in The Iron Temple, and mind enforced by the great teachings of venerated Mali'aheral scholars drank from his own cup of sparkling wine; then spoke again. "Why aren't you, then?" Crossing his legs as the Symposiasts gathered there in the sauna listened on with furrowed brows. "You all gather here almost every night, we eat from our fine plates, we sup from silver chalices and bronzed mugs. We heft big weight, and we clash many lyres, and orate many poems. Our slaves toil for all our needs, and we simply take as we please, bounty from the sea and isle. You say to be challenged is good, but at the same time wish to be free from harm? What is challenge with no risk? With no reward? Mere homework!" Enraged, the 'aheral symposiasts assaulted him with insult after insult, each one her curtailed, like knives off a shield. They all had the same core. "Well then mister bronze elf, why don't you go do something challenging then?" "Well lets go then" He laughed, the symposiasts, drunk on pure wine, did not think they would need to be proving the weight of their words, but they still accepted the challenge anyway, as these sorts of friends do. But when the morning rose, splaying itself out beyond that silver horizon and the waves were perfect to cast away, only him greeted that dawn, his shield of bronze polished, and his cuirass lined with silver laurels. He went about the silver city, and every chance he could, he reminded his friends about their weak word, and wimpish sensibility. Enraged again, the insults flew, but finally, the comrades relented, knowing that he was right. There is a saying in the islands of the Mali'aheral "I hate the symposiast with a good memory" Each of these Mali'aheral were obviously members of esteemed bloodlines of Haelun'or, and as such, benefited from the privileges of that. Obtaining quite easily what they wished, and gathered what was necessary. From polished shields, and arms so beautiful they would make a dwarf cry, even the food for the journey was a thing that not only nourished body, but soul as well. Oh, to be provided for my the fruits of your bounty, the labor of no labor, and to wear it proud, as we are blessed men. Each of them, clad in their heavy bronze with tied and filigreed with silver, and the blues of their crested helms. Each one a champion of mind and body, pure blood and pure spirit. The girls smiled finally having the saunas to themselves again, and then, the comrades set out on a ship of painted sails away from their mother island, yet it was good. One of the key features that distinguishes an 'Aheral sailor from lessers is their patience and ability in long journey Together, through these vast and silvery seas, the comrades knew many great songs and tale, they spoke legends of stars and light, but the lights ahead a manner of elf weeks into the voyage spoke more to them in that moment ((Heres the first post of an 'Aheral Mythic Epic of a great Warrior-Poet and one-day Hero-King! If you wanna read more check out my other posts on The Hyptos, a bloodline of heroes.))
  22. [!] A beautifully decorated missive inked upon silver parchement had been pinned to the Haelun’or notice board. Written by Okarir’akaln Usamea An’asul 7th of The Grand Harvest, Year 58 of the Second Age When you become stagnant and aren’t improving by the day, you are only moving towards your failure. Blessed Citizens of Haelun'or, on this jovial day shall we take our first step towards freedom from the festering greed of our enemies. For Mali'thill do not need their fruit, their produce, their coin to survive, for we are more than capable of thriving with no more than the efforts of the purest of elves. Okarir'akaln Usamea An’asul shall thus announce the foundation of the Economic Reform Committee. This committee consists of three organs which each hold their own, unique purpose. To each organ a leader shall be nominated from citizens who dare to step forward and announce their candidacy. This leader shall oversee the recruitment and employment of workers and will log the efforts of each worker to ensure fair compensation is received from the Okarir'akaln. Missives shall follow containing additional information about each unit's functions and obligations. Vacant positions - In addition, to commemorate the teachings and great service of Dio Astòre, founder of Haelun'or, the Silver State shall detach itself from the crumbling economy of Almaris. The Haelunorian currency Ibar shall be taken in full use. The only accepted currency will be the Ibar’thilln - sovereign currency without ties to the rotten minaan, but symbolism for wisdom and wealth. We cannot seek achievement for ourselves and forget about progress and prosperity of our community. Our ambitions must be broad enough to include the aspiration and needs of others, for their sakes and for our own. The Pretender’s Folly The Silver State, home of tranquility and purity, has found itself at odds with the lesser realms abroad due to their unwarranted support of the deceiver and pretender, Ivarielle - who claims a royal throne that does not exist. Eating the lies of Ivarielle, they know little of our own tradition and culture though they will put themselves against us regardless. They care little for the truth, and they care little for logic. Suffice to say, attempts from Haelun’or have been made to reconcile but it is the prejudice of the lesser realms that blinds them from following the path of reasonable judgment and fairness. They opt to support Ivarielle, for they believe that Ivarielle is the better of us but that is far from the truth as I shall tell you now, dear reader. Sohaer Braxus Ni’leya offered the pretender Ivarielle the chance to debate him and publicly explain her grievances to convince the mali’thill to support her, deriving this from our well-established traditions where a mali’aheral may challenge the Sohaer to a public debate overseen by the most venerated of the mali’thill, the Malauriran, to decide who is victorious and who shall be given legal control over the Silver State. Ivarielle took the offer, but she had arrived with naught but a disgraceful presence. Arriving thirty elven minutes late, she swiftly made her way into the city and up to the Silver Citadel unimpeded. As she entered the Silver Citadel, the citizens of the city were told to move to a bench allocated to whom they supported. The Sohaer, honorable and pure, had his bench filled with mali’thill and mali’aheral. It had become so filled, that some of the supporters had to stand beside the bench. However, if one were to look at Ivarielle’s bench, they would see that it would be mostly empty… with only a crazed lunatic elf who claimed to not know who Ivarielle was after the events, and a blind elf who most likely sat at the wrong bench. Ivarielle asked, talking over the Malauriran, repeatedly and arrogantly if the Sohaer wants to surrender, going against tradition that both parties should be silent until they have been asked questions by the neutral arbiter. Despite being told to be silent, they continued. Sohaer Braxus, unwavering in his support of the traditions, remained silent except to explain to the foolish Ivarielle that tradition states that only questions posed by the arbiter be answered. Ivarielle, failing to coerce the Sohaer into conceding defeat before the debate had even begun, claimed that she had already won and did not need to debate. Still unimpeded by the Sillumir, she fled the Silver Citadel and away from the debate. The spectators stood in shock and awe as the pretender so brashly threw out centuries of tradition in their arrogance, possibly even fear of losing. Despite the coward’s absence, a vote had been put to the Malauriran so that concluding the event would be done as is appropriate to tradition despite the obstruction. It was no surprise that the Malauriran had unanimously proclaimed that Braxus Ni’leya would retain legal leadership over the Silver State. Whether you be a foreigner from beyond the Silver State, or a citizen that was unable to attend. This event has shown that the pretender, the coward, the deceiver Ivarielle, has no support from the High Elven hegemony. They are an ambitious seeker of power and act only contrary to the Silver State’s established traditions of centuries-old. To those who are diplomats from those realms who support Ivarielle, take this to your leader. See that they know the truth so that they may reconsider their position in this debacle, so that they may not be judged negatively among your people for supporting someone who does not stay true to their word. 25. THE SILVER STATE CALLS: ELMALI’THILL Issued from the Eternal Library The 11th of Snow’s Maiden, 54 SA “The continuity of our people must come before all factionalism and personal desire, no matter their cost and our pride. We must all strive for diligence in the face of ignorance.” - Malaurir Lucion Sullas BLESSED MALI’THILL, Kae mal’onnan lari’onnan’ehya, It has been the Imperative of Haelun’or, to have at its foundation, two things; Elmaehr’sae hiylun’ehya, and eltalonnii. Without Elmaehr’sae hiylun’ehya, our people - grovelling, would be no better than lessers who exist purely to satiate their idols, hedonism and baseness. Without the latter - eltalonnii, our society would default to the individual, deifying him and making his efforts and fruits solely his - himself being the only beneficiary. Why should he care for others when eltalonnii is of no importance? As such, from the very creation of Haelun’or, our blessed leaders had the foresight to center Haelun’ors foundations around these two institutions. Mali’thill who practice and maintain Elmaehr’sae hiylun’ehya - who strive to establish a fruitful Talonnii, do not benefit only themselves. They, in their toil and efforts, give to each Mali’thill, something to strive for. The betterment of Haelun’or cannot come from simply oem’thill. It must come from us all - as a collective - each Talonnii doing its share to benefit one another. As such, I call upon eltalonniian of yore to return to Haelun’or with your namesake, to be with the rest of your kin. To take the reins in moving Haelun’or forward - into a new era of progress. Re-ignite your forges, Re-assemble your laboratories, Re-host your symposiums - Haelun’or beckons. “Children of Larihei, separate yourselves from those lesser. Return to your people and reinstate your Nation among the leaders of the world. Revive in yourselves, a sense of superiority, for you are ‘thill. Disregard not, the gift you possess - your Silver Soul, but follow it’s call - flock home.” - Sohaer Braxus Ni’eya The Silver State calls: AHTALONIIAN ELERVATHAR AND VISAJ, that led elmali’thill from the cradle of Fi’halen to the great cihi of Lareh’thilln, and gifted to them invaluable knowledge pertaining to Arcanism.
