Hey there LoTC,

I'm here today to show you (roughly) the distance it takes to walk to each of the kingdoms where they are now.

PLEASE READ & WATCH BEFORE VOTING!

It took me 10 minutes to visit every nation capital on foot after leaving spawn, without sprinting.

(It takes 5 minutes or so on horseback.)

Here's the video,

and here's the path I walk in the video,

Thanks for reading / watching / viewing.

Fir-dangit.

Second.

This is a perfect distance. I'd rather see all the capitals in a few minutes rather than taking fifteen to travel to one.

Few things you should say as well Shift.

The distance between current Urguan and New Abresi, following through the orcs, halflings and other towns in between, is also 10 mins.

Also you must consider that the map will be full of forests, buildings stopping the path, and that the time to get to the Dwarves through that pass was... quite boring...

On the other hand, this is just my take on it, and I made a great post explaning why in the other thread.

Edit: This not to say it will be as bad as when Anthos was first made, but I believe it will be around as bad as what it currently is.

This should work, but only if we listen to Lago's lovely ideas and take away conquest mechanics.

Seems good to me. I have no complaints whatsoever.

The only thing that makes me a little hesitant to support this distance is the consideration of wars to come. If we're going to have battles with the cosmetic appeal of Storm's Crossing, for example, then the main portion of lands that people traverse has the potential to look like a portion of Europe during WWI... A bit of an exaggeration, but still.

Ten minutes walking distance is great, when considering every other aspect. However war is a huge part of this server, our player count skyrockets during PvP events. I would suggest maybe a little bit more wiggle room so battlefields are a little more stretched out, and they don't have the potential to ruin every portion of the land between nations.

The capitals are well placed I think. Far enough to separate the nations, but close enough to make sure there is always roleplay to go around. I love it! :)

I think we've found that elusive area we've been trying to find, not too close yet not too far.

Edit: I agree with the no conquest, however only no conquest between the few capitals. Everywhere else it should be viable. (e.g. wilderness, inside the canyon walling in the worldpainted map, not cloud temple though)

This is awesome! Nice work indeed! The dwarf place looks stunning, even without details yet to be added.

Looking great! A 10 minute distance to visit every nation, that's pretty great! I just hope issues don't arise in that they may possibly be too close. Regardless, condensed RP will be fantastic! Hopefully there will be less, preferably no more, searching around for long periods of time just to find some RP!
