The Neo Mounties

Amongst allies, 1000 good Mounties died in the fort of Red Plains, the remaining members trickling away amongst the New Englanders.

"We are the Mounties, defenders of Canada."

"More of us live in our homes back west."

"We live in the cities our ancestors called Kamloops and Kelowna."

"We invite you back to our home. We may establish communications."

The battle was lost, but the war was not over.

Word of the loss had reached home in Kamloops via the same operation radio that signalled for the POC, and in the British Columbia, no one was pleased, and no one was willing to step down.

Postcard_RCMP.jpg

People had been signing up for the mountie force in droves, knowing they fought for a better, more comfortable life. The force was now 200% in number of what it was, at a good 40,000 members.

While somewhat struggling, the parties up in Pheonix Mine and other iron deposits had already well begun the process of restoring and recreating the mining tools left there by their ancestors, quotas of Iron began reaching Kamloops in time.

With the help of the Dwellers in Hanford, soon basic rifles and pistols would come rolling at the end of factory lines.

The mounties were soon to be armed and ready, they call upon their allies.

"To the Dwellers of Hanford, and the eastfolk of New England. It is time to reclaim what is ours.

The savages in the north outnumbered us, and yet we gave them hell. Now we show them what we are truly capable of. Ice savages will rue the day they crossed us.

Gather your men, we are going back for more."

12,000 mounties march to a rendevouz point with their two allies. Many are armed with rifles and firearms, although some carry crossbows and other more rudimentary weapons.

They await the numbers and responce of their allies.

The final word of the results of the battle reach The Tip.

Nobody is happy, many lost brothers and sisters who had volunteered in the fight but the usual go get 'em attitude of the New Englanders filled the air. They were pumped... ready to shed some blood in the name of their friends. Training had been increased, harder instructors began to instruct the civilians, and the shipment of weapons and books had aided them in their quest to aid their newfound allies. A letter is sent in return to the leader of the Mounties.

"Dear Canadians and Handfords

We are sending a force of 25,000 soldiers and partly trained militia, combined from our three outposts to aid in your endeavors. We will bring salted meats, salted fish, stale bread, and other long lasting foods to aid in our journey. We are a hardy and strong people and will bring every ounce of vigor and violence that your Mounties would. Our vehicles are loaded like clown cars but we hope our scouting party finds a vessel so that we may travel by river to the Rendevouz point. Where will we meet?

Sincerely,

Ebb Of New England.

The Holy Kingdom of Myanmar

After the terrible distasters World War III brought over the world, a big part of Myanmar was layed to waste by the flood that came from the south, and ultimately the east. The Capital of Yangon was completely whiped out, carrying millions of people to their deaths. The people where scattered, many died of hunger in the aftermath of the events. Most lived in fear of what might happen next. Those who had once been rebels were in the end the ones to reunite the then scattered tribes of the birmese peoples. Their leader brought safety and order to the society. Things they hadn't had before. People started to talk about him as one who was blessed by the heavens and he started to behave more and more like a priest and a king.
This way he became the first Priest-King of the new Kingdom of Myanmar. His capital was built on the ruins of the old city of Mandalay. It grew out to be a walled city surrounded by farms. In the centre was a palace with high walls, nine turrets were situated on equal distance around the walls and on each a duo of artillery pieces, salvaged from tanks, was positioned. However warlike the state may seem, with a constant millitary of 10.000 heavily trained men, they had Always been isolationists, not wanting to communicate with the outside world, who they blamed for the destruction of everything and thus a threat to their safety.

Nowadays, Miyuin Thirisanda is queen of the Holy Kindom of Myanmar. She inherited a healthy state with a self-sustaining economy. Her people were highly ordered and were spread over several provinces, each centered around a walled city built on the ruins of an old one. They might have been fairly sizable, Mandalay was certainly the biggest.

Total populus: ~350.000

- of which lower class (farmers and the like): ~240.000

- of which middle class (traders and the like): ~100.000

- of which upper class (government workers mostly): ~10.000

The Ethiopian Kingdom

They called it Conquest, but Haile called it progress. The Ethiopian Empire needed lands further away, and Bahrain was a mere beginning. From maps and talks, it seemed that especially the North. Would be great for settling. As 4 Fishing ships from Bahrain take sail towards that region, 50 Mehal Sefari soldiers accompany it. This is a far more superior 'conquest' than the previous one, and Ethiopia must bring harmony to the remnants of the old.

While sailing up North, a device suddenly begins to peep and to talk. A circular object starts giving bleeps of the location. The power seemed to turn on in the ship, but it soon flickered off. However, the captain remembered the position. As he throve to west. It was not soon until they saw land, and smoke fires. The Mehal Sefari jump off the boats and croach forward as they see primitive tribes nearby an old village. On an old wooden sign it says "Welcome to the Scottish Highlands". The Ethiopians are confused, they should have been to this land called "Denmark". They send out their speaker, who holds a scroll of Vassalization written by Haile Selassie himself. He thinks he sees the leader figure, and approaches. If the man would be attacked, The Mehal Sefari will open fire.

*Possible Attack force*

50 Mehal Sefari

20 Crew members

1 Armed Diplomat

Back in Ethiopian homeland, things go well. The second mill is placed and functional, and now powers most of the palace. The third mill collapsed and fell down with the stream, a new one must be made with some minor repairs. ((1 page)). The farms keep to grow, and the Ethiopian crafters seem to have made adjustments to the rifle. Nothing major afcourse, but interest rises in some sort of zooming glass. The first ship sets sail north.

Yukon Republic

Seizing initiative of the ongoing war between the barbarian hordes and Canadian allies, Yukon mountaineers dressed and armed as brigands travel south into Neo-Mountie lands. Tasked to raid the newly made Neo-Mountie mines, 800 mountaineers sneak up on the mineworkers by traveling through the well known mountains and woods. From that point on they would attack fast and hard.  A small 50 men force would crawl in under snow camouflaged capes and wait near the mines perimeter. From there 400 men would emerge from the forest and attack the mine guards, while a further 350 would march straight down the road.

Armed with the c14 timerbwolfs, Mountaineer snipers would hide in the trees and shoot for officers or heavy weapons crew.  As soon as the perimeter was breached and the guards dealt with, the mining equipment and ores would be loaded up, and they would head back into the woods, if the perimeter was breached....

The west was closest to the barbarian hordes of alaska, and way forts and outpost are erected all along the border. However, the republic secretly made the devils pact and and sent an ambassador into the wilds under a banner of peace. He would try to locate the horde, and contact it's tribal leader.

REINO DE NUEVA HABANA

Thirteen thousand brave men dead or missing. A third of the royal fleet unresponsive except for the chattering of some bastardized form of Spanish coming in over the radio. The grand successes of the Veracruz and Yucatan missions was overshadowed by the defeat of the third battalion. Some day those brave men would be honored as heroes, but today, today there would be vengeance.

MzGTMvw.png

While La Cabana readies for any attacks on Havana, messengers and radio messages attempt to contact their allies in Texas. The accompanying fleets to the Veracruz and Yucatan missions have been sent to patrol the area between Jamaica and the continent in order to prepare for a two-pronged assault. The armies in said locations are to join up in Guatemala and push down the peninsula towards Panama in their combined might of 30,000 men. The barbarians will be driven from the very continent if Havana has anything to say about it.

Sikh Confederacy

The ship from the Kingdom of Ethiopia reaches Sikh shores, and the Sikh's ask the Ethiopians to establish trade between their two Empires. Meanwhile, men are sent to establish communication with the Sons of Allah and The Dragon Empire after whispers of the nations reach Sikh ears. Work begins on a long term Sikh project - a small navy, which would include 20 transport ships, 5 submarines, 7 destroyers, 5 corvettes, 6 patrol vessels, and 2 battleships. ((20 pages))

Meanwhile, tensions increase on the Indian continent. Makul Mamraj is worried at how close some of it's enemies are to New Delhi, and sees it as an obvious problem. He orders the construction of thick line of trenches, forts, barbwire, minefields, anything that is useful for defense to be deployed along the borders nearest to New Delhi with Greater Nepal, Kashmir, and Maharashtra. War was becoming more and more inevitable, but if the Sikh's emerged victorious, uniting the Indian continent would be at hand. If they were defeated, Makul's dream of a united India may never come true.

Neo Mounties

800px-Flag_of_the_Lieutenant-Governor_of

Pheonix Mine is guarded by a stalwart force of 2000 Mounties, with an additional 1000 miners and their families, a small fortified town sits around the mine. Salish and Haida Gwaii scouts spot advance parties from the Yukon.

It was foolish to expect they would not guard these resources.

The mine is put under lock down and all the heavy iron doors closed, counter snipers perch themselves amongst the familiar trees of the Northern BC forest, taking shots at Yukon sharpshooters.

The mounties are well organized and higher in number, alarms go off throughout Pheonix mine as the soldiers situate themselves on the walls and fire deadly volleys of arrows and bullets at the smaller army marching towards them from a vantage.

The mines perimeter is walled off, as is the rest of town.  Any trees and foliage within three yards of the walls have also been cleared, making sneaking up an impossibility. Any advancing army who dared to approach the wall would be sitting ducks, fired upon by crossbows and rifles, as well as sniper sharpshooters on guard towers.

It seems they had taken all precautions to be ready for exactly this: A sneak attack.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

{}MOD REQUIRED ACTION{}

Meanwhile, a freshly armed and much larger army of 12,000 Mounties, as well as 18000 New England Scavengers march back up to the fallen fort of Red Plains. For vengeance, and for benefit.

Hanford

Savages. They killed our men, and think they can get away with it? Heh, if only they knew...

The Poc is recalled and stored for later. 5000 Hanford Travois riflemen would go to aid in the reclemation of Red Plains. Once the battle begins, 250 would stay back in the tree tops and wait.

Hanfords Sherman is fueld and prepared, but stays back for the time being. Better to have it ready if this all somehow goes to hell.

The construction of the weapon factory nears completion. Estimates are given for what amount of weaponry can be produced, but nothing for sure yet. ((1 page left.))

Yukon Republic

Underestimating the Neo-Mounties, the 'brigands' melt back into the woods not even bothering to attack. Shedding their arms and armor for real Yukon equipment, they resume normal duties. A few weeks later the miners and mining equipment arrives at the mining camp, with a YPA contingent. If the Neo-Mounties let them in they would start establishing the mines, and comment about the increased amount of Brigands, and how they had to fight a large group off.

At home, the west continues its fortifications, mines and farms are expanded, and production of arms continues, all seems normal. Determined to take something somewhere, the YPA is sent east in heavy numbers. Nearly 6,000 men, they would march east and start to bring all the eastern tribes into the fold. Small artillery pieces advance with the army, helping break the barbaric tribes will to fight.

The Republic of Arminius

The Siege of Munich had lasted several weeks, what artillery and ammo the Republic could afford pounded the city. The heavy bombardment slamming into the city shocked the Bavarian Republican Army, such a bombardment unheard of before the Siege. The 1st Mannheim, 4th Stuttgart, and and 3rd Ulm divisions begin to place themselves strategically around the city waiting for the word to strike. Soon, radio chatter begins. Hundreds of the soldiers of Arminius rush into Munich, moving from building to building, clearing each house slowly. Hundreds of soldiers are lost to the harsh urban fighting, this being some of the first ever conducted by the Legion.

The first Republic of Switzerland stronghold to be attacked is Berne. Nearly 10,000 men spread out around the countryside, a solid regiment of almost 3,500 men surround the city itself. Another task force of roughly 2,000 men move further southwest toward the Republican capital of Geneva. They lay down and repair several railroad tracks along the way, making their advance slow but easily capable of being reinforce by train from Hansehof,

On the homefront, several new farms are built up to accommodate the population. Copper and iron is transported to Heidelberg from the Rhineland, the copper being used to develop the first electrical grid in the Republic. A second electrical grid is prepared for construction in Koblenz, the two will be the basis for a nationwide power grid. However, in order to get it up and running it will require at least two more major hydroelectric plants. ((20 pages for full electricity))

The first two weapons factories are finished, the largest of the two being used for the manufacturing of bullets, the smaller being used for howitzer pieces as well as smaller cannons.

Highlands Tribe

-Ethiopian Kingdom

King George is still talking with the outsiders with the hazard suits when the Ethiopians show up,
he had got a god feeling about the outsiders but it soon was clear to him that these men where not coming in peace. He looked behind him and looked on his men. Even though the entire highlands army may be enough, he did not want to see anybody die fighting mere men, they had to be saved for the battle with the gods to come.
He turned around and instructed his diplomat to continue the conversation with the other outsiders, and whatever happens the tribe needed one of those suits.

the king the turns to the Ethiopians and ask what their terms are, he is willing to cooperate if the highlands will remain independent.

-Mod request

the diplomat from the highlands continues the conversation with the other outsiders, and the offer from the king still remains, which was suppliers for some of their hazard suits.

The Holy Kingdom of Myanmar

The emissaries from Ayutthyaya continue to travel with the men from Myanmar as the group leads them to their nation's capital.

After several days, the land the group is traversing through changes from from forests to farmland. Many farmers are working the fields in the burning sun, however they pause from their occupation to eye the foreigners suspiciously. After passing through another two valleys, they come across a white plastered wall that spans straight across the farmland, the top of the wall shimmers with the light of the sun reflecting on pieces of shattered glass.
They pass through a gate of iron after the guards and the men conversed in their own language. The discussion lasted a little while before the emissaries were reluctantly let through. However they were checked and any weaponry in their possesion were taken. This delivered several small firearms and cartriges of bullet casings.

Once that was handled, the group continued their way. It appeared that behind the wall was another few miles of farmland before a great river forced the paved road to go over into a bridge.
The bridge met the other side of the water at another great, white plastered wall. Several towers were positioned left and right of the reinforced steel gates. Above the walls, the emisaries would spot a few soldiers walking their rounds.
Onces having passed the gates, they would be checked on weapons again and guided by soldiers armed with polearms and guns they were led through a city of carefully crafted wooden houses and white walls. They were led before the queen in her fortress-palace and she asked for their purpose there.

The emissary diplomat greeted the queen in Thai fashion, he explained where he was from and presented his gifts, which the queen graciously accepted. He went on to explain that the King had dispatched him to investigate the lands of Burma, and if that if a civilisation is met, it would be offered help. Then he glanced up at the queen to get an impression of her apprearance.

The young queen seemed surprised by this and graciously accepted the gifts. However she would ask what kind of help there was to be offered since they had always sustained themselves. With this she raised her arms, which had the effect of lifting her long sleeves from the floor as she stood in front of her throne. She looked almost etheral in her dress of white silk that pooled freely on the floor. A crown of peacock feathers kept her night-black hair out of her face as it hung to her waist, where it was cut in a straight line. Her skin was pale, almost white, asif she never went outside. She seemed to glow in beauty, but that may have been the effect of the glass that was cleverly placed around the room to reflect light onto her form.
The Diplomat was dazzled in awe, standing utterly rooted to the ground for several moments before he excused himself to clear his throat and recompose himself. He informed her that Ayutthya too, used to be isolationist until recently, when the newly appointed king decided to sent emissaries out shortly after he received the throne. He pauses for a moment, thinking, before he glance dback at her.
" Your highness, Why dont you come for a visit to the Capital of Ayutthyaya, to meet with His Highness, King Hiroshashi. I am sure he would love to speak with you, and would discuss the future and suituation much better than I could ever do. We are a friendly and hospitable people, Your Highness, in the world that came before, we were known as the land of smiles."
The young queen looked doubtful and answered. "I will take your proposal into consideration. For now, you will stay here at least a week so I can have council and so I can pray. Bless you." She inclined her head slightly to show that they were dismissed.
The Diplomat nods, " I shall, your Highness, thank you for your hospitality" The Diplomat bowed in a traditional Thai manner, hands clasped together before taking his leave.

At the end of their stay, Miyuin Thirisanda reappeared, announcing that she would travel back with them to meet their king. A great company was ensambled, existing of 200 of the queen's personal guard as well as courtiers, priests, cooks and others. In total this made a company of around 1000 men and women. The size of the company would slow them down significantly and it would take several weeks to maybe 2 months for them to reach the Ayutthyaya Kingdom.
