REINO DE NUEVA HABANA

The armies on the continent continue their orders, marching inland and south down Central America in one big host, after a final land confrontation with the barbarians of the peninsula. They are not to harm civilians, but will kill if provoked.

The news from Havana is a much different story, however. The garrison in La Cabana fortress sends word by radio to the now combined fleet that it must return immediately to face the barbarian invasion. The fort itself, however, is more than capable to hold out for a while, with it's walls newly strengthened and cannon placed all over. ((See a few pages back)) They are ordered to sink transport ships first.

Meanwhile, the leadership is frustrated that they have not gotten word back from the kingdom's allies in Texas, and a re-evaluation of foreign policy seems imminent.

Neo Mounties

The Mounties retreat the moment the automatic weapons open fire from a vantage point. Losses are significant, 2500 of the original 15000 lost in the original charge. They take cover behind the trees and newly dug out trenches, heavily guarding the choke point and effectively driving the battle into an uneasy stalemate.

The allied forces of the southern north are out of the line of fire, and kill anyone who come close enough to try. There they hold out in a war of attrition.

Then, a group of Coast Salish and Haida Gwaii natives sneak forward. Natives of British Columbia, they knew the forest better than they knew the back of their hand. Hunting was in their blood and had been for 10,000 years, they were the masters of stealth.

500 Haida Gwaii and Coast Salish begin fanning out throughout the forest. If one group was found, dozens more would still remain. There they begin to take out their targets, the machine gunners on the hills. Firing down silent arrows or poison tipped barbs, they would take out the targets killing the most of their allies, and move on without being seen. The deaths of their targets no more obvious than a breeze in the cold Canadian forest air.

The Gwaii follow the hummers silently through the forest canopy, waiting for a moment of it's brief pause, then, one of the few dozen grenades salvaged from the weapons dealers would be tossed down at it, preferably down it's hatch, but significant damage would be done either way.

Should then most of their targets be taken out, the silent aboriginal killers stalk forward towards the tank, preparing to leap down at it's hatches and seize the war machine for their own from above.

It was amazing, how often man forgot to actually...look up.

((Really short))

Watching the Canadians retreat the remaining 15,500 New Englanders retreat, following the Neo Mounties into the trenches... a small squad is dispatched to the vehicles where they begin to mount their remaining weapons onto the tops of their jeeps. They await the time to strike.

Yukon republic

Yukon mountaineers who had set up in the tree tops at the start of the fight began to engage the tribals sneaking through. The 2,000 mountaineers spread out through the woods caught and engaged many of the natives, their knowledge of the land being almost just as good. As skirmishes ensued, mountaineers fell back to warn the machine gun positions. Most natives did make it through however, but the hilltops were where the 17,000 YPA had based the focal of their defense. The natives would be hard pressed to push past the YPA and actually reach the top of the hills.

As the Canadian forces retreated, the Mountaineer snipers and YPA pursued them for the first half of the retreat, killing many. But when they got near the trenches the YPA pulled back to the hill tops. From there they were content to build their own trenches on their side of the mountain, and guard the Alaskan war machines that were bombarding the canadians. The Yukon's own light field artillery were established on the hills and guarded by mountaineers, and from there they bombarded the trenches.

Medics rushed out in the lull of the fighting, rounding up any canadian wounded who were left behind in the hasty retreat, as well as tending to wounded Alaskan's and Yukon troops. Supplies were moved up with the reserves, and the YPA and mountaineers were restocked.

Living up to their reputation, 1,000 Yukon mountaineers scaled the eastern mountains many miles back, and marched through little known goat paths and natural trails. From there they moved almost to the canadian trench positions, and from there they waited for their orders, staying hidden deep in the mountains.

All of the canadian wounded are tended to, and then chained up in large blocks, linked together by spiked neck, feet, and wrist collars. The blocks of demoralized Canadian wounded are marched in front of the Yukon/Alaskan position, a living meat shield. The chains are spiked into the ground, making it near impossible to move.

Hanford

D*mned war. 500 Hanford Travois men killed from one IDIOTIC move. What fool wouldn't have gone around? The remaining 4500 Travois retreat as well, 500 jumping up into to trees upon seeing the tanks and vehicles. They knew what to do to turn the tide of this battle.

The weapon factory is complete. 500 semi-auto rifles will be produced every 2 months, along with 5 15 round mags for each of them ((500 rifles and 5 mags of 15 rounds for each every page switch.))

One of the five car cavalry took off, over the trenches and zooming past the enemy, it put off a few high powered machine gun shots before spinning around and taking off into the forest, fast enough for it is hard to get  a shot on it... and slow enough for enemies to follow it under the trees where the Travois await to pounce. They try to draw the eager enemies out of their hiding to follow them into the trees (specifically the savage tank)

The Ethiopian Kingdom

The ship in Bahrain was finished. Impressed Selassie watched how it went passed the Ethiopian coast. It went North, stashed with more supplies for Scotland. The ship was majestic, a true symbol of the Ethiopian empire. Haile Selassie was proud of his newly appointed governor, he knew how to control the masses.

The celts were honorable men and women, proud & strong in their cause. The Ethiopians might lose their dominance if they remain so primitive and unanswered. The one celtic religion, must be shortened. As priests converted more outskirt villages to Ethiopian Orthodoxy. Old destroyed churches are being repaired up to functionality and comfort to use them for this new found religion.

church_ruins1__stock_by_6lell9_stock.jpg

The Ethiopians remain to educate the Celts, at some point with more pressure than in Ethiopia. The centralized goverment is functional there. And actual family names now are on paper. The population gets more organized, and several volunteer to work in Ethiopia to explore the seas. The newly acquired ship of the Celts is prepared and is shipped off to the east, hoping to find coast once more.

Meanwhile, the governor initiates a more structured military. With the iron from Ethiopia and the Highland mines. Actual swords are forged and uniform implented. Forms of civilization comes to the Highlands. Teaching the Celts how to make muskets also starts.

Celtic_warrior_by_jcjacobsson.jpg

Back in homeland, Ethiopians continue to work and get minerals & harvests in masses. They are preparing for the winter. With several oil wells functional, Haile looks how to increase his refinery output. The watermills are finished, and now power several importnant aspects of the city. The fortifications from stone are made around Addis Ababa, and more structured & organized housing is implented.

Meanwhile, the booming population of wildlife comes to attention to the people. The goverment orders several men to hunt on them with moderation, so that they can harvest their furs & ivory. Roads if Addis are being repaired with stone fillings, and the masons work overtime to make bricks. Selassie thinks of ways to use his overstock of stone & wood.

Gothic Tribe of Nuuk

With the shrine completed, the Gothi hoped that the conversion would speed up with a visual reminder of the greatness of the Gothic gods. The shrine itself depicts Kesuroth slaying a demon that sought to corrupt the minds of men.

Talos_Shrine_L.jpg

Back in Nuuk, the colonisation expedition begins it's journey towards it's destination. The aim is to construct a small trading port that will allow the Greenlanders to trade with the Icelanders, as well as providing a launching point to Europe should the time come. They are expected to arrive in 2 months or so. ((1 page))

Hanford

Almost every soldier on the invading side would seem to start to pull out through the trenches to minimalise losses, while the Haida Gwaii continue to pick off their gunners and vehicles. 500 Hanford Travois remain behind, their sacrifice shall not be forgotten...

As the armies flee, a few soldiers would appear on one side of the valley with two large barrels. Hanford had been transporting the Poc during the battle. They kick down the barrels into the valley. Anyone within a mile would be dead within the hour. The fleeing armies pick up greatly, while the 500 left try and hold the Alaskan warriors in place long enough for it to take effect.

The Kingdom of Neo Sweden

alt__swedish_flag_by_ay_deezy-d30dnus.pn

High Queen Emilia casts her glare over the captured Kings of the neighboring provinces. More than a third of her raid army had been lost, and the food taken from the villages and cities would last barely long enough for the next crop yield. Drawing her machete, she walked down the line of leaders and beheaded each one. Turning towards her army, she yelled

"There is no place for the weak among us! I tried to reason with them, but they thought they could fight me!"

The army shouts "The High Queen shall rule!" and they return to where they had previously been stationed. The ship of the Horned Men are allowed to dock at the major cities, and an alliance is offered. Until it is accepted or declined, they are guarded by a force of 150 MP to make sure they do not try to attack the city. High Queen Emilia turns her sights south towards Denmark, where islands dot the horizon. Her armies begin to be mustered again, and it can easily be seen that an invasion will soon happen ((4 pages)). Wooden skiffs and transport boats are prepared as well ((3 pages)). Trade is reopened with the inland Swedish nations.

The newly taken provinces to the north are consolidated with Military Police, and the population floats at around 260,000. The restored parts factory begins to be worked, and the library scoured has been found to have nothing but a single book about some old religion used by the Norse people. Iron mines in the Northern provinces begin to be researched, to see if they are still functional. ((4 pages)). Work on fixing the radio tower in Stockholm begins ((5 pages)).

Not much had been heard of the City-State for a while, mostly due to the restriction of trade with the outside. Apparently, a plague had stricken the area, and it was thought to have originated farther south. Having closed off it's borders, the nation waited out the sickness. Not many lives were lost, but the people had been scared. Th terrible disease had also spread to a neighboring state, and had weakened it to a somewhat major extent. The city-state of the Blessed Sun and this neighbor, the Watonka, united in order to survive and prosper. The new nation would be known as the Union of the North.

cavguid.gif

One of the books spoke of a battle, fought by some man named Custer, farther to the South and West. While most of the details were long erased and destroyed, some remained, mostly uniforms and the fighting style of both sides, the Sioux and Cavalry. The guidon of the 7th had impressed the Consul, and he chose it as the new flag for the Union.

Factories.jpg

Three factories had opened outside the city. One was tasked to produce the Winchester model 1874, "the gun that won the west". It was relatively cheap to make and durable, something the armed forces would need. The second factory made it's cartridges, but the gunpowder was kept far from the actual factory, for safety reasons. Finally, the third one was tasked with the fabrication of pieces for artillery and other miscellaneous metal parts.

frigate.jpg

Along with several trading ships, the Union now counted a frigate. It had armor plating on the side, but the rest was mostly wood, and it was armed with old style cannons. It is currently harbored in Newcastle.

628x471.jpg

The First Cavalry battalion, some 900 men, was established. Along with the "Fusiliers Marins" company of 120 men, they make up the whole standing army.
