King Indago Stormhammer sees a messanger enter his halls holding a letter.  After approaching the king, he says, "A letter for you sir, a message from the senitels."

Taking the letter by hand, he studies the marking in front of the letter, sealling the message inside.  "T'ank yeh meh lad," the Grand King states before reaching into his beard and tossing a few gold coins toward the messanger's way.

Taking the note back, he walks toward the end of his great hall, to where he finds himself at the throne.  Warmed by the fires aside of him, he greatfully removes his leggins and breastplate he wears for long period of times.  Feeling the comfort of his throne in which were removed of jagged spikes after Thorin's reign, he breaks the seal that accesses him to the letter.  Before reading it, he gives a grunt, and clears his throat.  Thus, the message is delivered.

After the reading, thoughts bounce within the mind of the Dwarven King as he tries to think of something to reply back.  He contemplates of his issues he endures and thinks of ways what must be best for his glorious kingdom.  Moments go by within the solitude of the throne room when King Indago begins to fiddle with his beard.  He feels the gems braided amongst the strands of his beard as he begins to think of something to write.  Reaching once more into his beard, he finds success in pulling out a quill, however seems lost of any ink.  Walking upon the royal carpet, Indago approaches a torch in which burned within the walls.  Placing the quill under the fire, he uses the ashes to darken the point.  Sitting down beneath the flame, he scrounges up a woven piece of paper in which he began to write.

To those that guide the Sentinels of the Equilibrium,

We have endured many hardships within the kingdom of Urguan, as we have entered a terrible war.  Power within the south seems to progressively grow for those who follow Ondnarch, though don't you forget we are a strong nation that shall never cease to fight on.  I must confess, that our hammers and our axes should not spill blood within the north, though it seems the time may be upon us that we must so willingly do.  I have received news of the ever growing "Scourge" that continues to corrupt the lives of many hominids upon these great lands.  I must say, we must be lucky as to stay clear of the chaos that has so corrupted your people.  Though, it may just seem our luck has just about burned out.  Our friends, that prospered within Lenfarthing, were once like us, until there home was taken by these dark powers.  Darkness can cover any light we reveal it, but it be best to conceal the growth in order to drive it away from the people of Anthos.  As King of Urguan, ruler of the Dwarves, I hereby accept your call for help in which you desire.  We shall sail our navy your way to help fight off the darkness that troubles you.  However, our support will be limited as forces from our invaders and Odnarch's curses still must be focused within our lands.  Until we alleviate these problems, our support shall be limited upon our sailors and volunteers who believe in your just cause.  Forever more, we can not risk the south being lost, though I do hope our efforts may help you guide to a better future, and a safer one too.  May Anbella guide you, as she shall give you the love and strength of honor that burns in our souls.

-Grand King Indago of the Stormhammers

The letter is signed and marked with a golden hammer.  It is dropped off at the merchants guild to where it will later find it's way to it's receiver.

Aret carefully opens and reads the letter, before nodding. He drafts a carefully worded reply back.

"I understand your situation and the risk towards your nation. The threat grows ever greater as many attempt to ignore the obvious. Among the many, I have hope that the Dwarves can counter all three threats. If there is any assistance you need, simply request so and I will attempt to get what you need.

While we are unable to defend your lands from Oren in the hopes of remaining neutral in this war, and as we currently have allies speaking of a land attack upon the Hive, we can only offer any assistance we can against the Ondnarch. Our hopes is that you can wound the Hive before allies begin a hopefully final assault. The sooner you engage, the better chance we have of winning."

Jack Rovin lounges in the library, relaxing after a hard day's battle. A courier arrives at Ard Krallackh and delivers the message to his squire, Noah Varodyr, who then delivers it to the Grandmaster. Curious, he opens the letter delicately with a small blade, and goes to read it. Many of the following days go to contemplating it, as he holds council with the Grand Prior, Michael de Longueville, and even asks his own son for his opinion on the matter. Many moons later, the Grandmaster writes a return letter, written upon an animal-hide parchment with thick, black ink. He seals the letter in a thin sheepskin envelope and seals it with the stamp of a red Rhodesian cross.

"Aret, Exalted Speaker of the Sentinels of Equilibrium:

Your letter for me has arrived, and I apologize for the delay in return. It has taken me many days to figure a proper response, one that I shall give in this reply. I see that the people you represent wish to crusade against a common enemy, the Scourge of the North. I can admire this, and it already fits as a role for my own order of the True Faith of Humans. I thank you for your offer and suggestion to join forces with the Rangers of Adunia, however, this simply cannot be done. The Rangers of Adunia are heathens whom have allied themselves with Dwarvern lords who do indeed support the Northern Scourge, and we find our purposes better off campaigning against a southern threat before moving to the north. With the addition of the Teutonic Order as a Holy Order, we both already have fought this Scourge and won ourselves. In one particular incident, they managed to attack our fortress, and we managed to fight them all the way back into their own wasteland. This Scourge is nothing but a band of faithless warmongers who cannot in fact win, or even fight, a proper war, and are beat at their own attempts of violence.

If, however, the Adunian Rangers were to convert to the True Faith, we would be more than willing to work alongside them, but for now, it is a Holy Crusade of Holy men, not something for rabble. And, if it means anything, the Rangers of Adunia are a mediocre force themselves. If they fought along side us in our own engagements, they would likely be killed. It is in their best interests that they invest in a better military structure or training before going to embark on such dangerous pilgrimages. Once again, if they were to convert to the True Faith, we would be more than happy to assist them in assisting us.

Sincerely,

Jack Rovin, Grandmaster of the Poor-Fellow Soldiers of Horen and Temple of Ard Krallackh, Knight of Justice, Man-at-Arms of the Order of the White Rose

Deus Magnus!"

Aret sighs, having recieved word from his men that such would happen. He smiles a bit, before writing a reply back.

"I understand your dislike of the Adunians, however, as a keeper of balance, I will not even ask for them to convert, as it would be against our edicts the Vision has decreed.

You speak as if the Scourge are nothing but a mere whim upon this land. If they are so, and they are so easy to defeat as you say, then why not push further North into their lands, so that you many conquer it in the name of the True Faith? More power would be granted to you, and less destruction may be upon the realm.

You also speak very highly of the Teutonic Order; therefore, as I have had dealings with them in the past, I believe that if you two united to push North, you would be able to conquer vast amounts of territory in a short period of time. I trust both yourself and the Hochmeister to work together to force your way North.

Therefore, I rescind my previous request with the Adunian rangers; I now urge you to take up arms with the Teutonic Order and their Sariants and push North. If anything, it will draw Scourge forces away from the Hive in an attempted defence of the North. Once we eradicate the Northerners, you will have ample amounts of land to work with. A plan has begun to form in my mind, and for you I need you to push North. My apologies if I have offended you, but I only wish to see this matter resolved in your group and the Teutonic Order engaging the Northerners and winning the fight."

Aret sighs, sending off the last two letters to the order of Saint Lucian and the Dwarves.

He stands up and heads outside, climbing a ling wooden stairway to the Druids grove at the top. He stares out across the valley and the Hive.

"if the Dwarves can damage the Hive... and the Lucians and the Sariants can push North, further drawing away the forces of the North from the Hive... perhaps our ground forces invading the Hive may stand a chance...

He frowns. "It would all have to be so quick though..."

He sits on the edge of the cliff, thinking long and hard about what to do next.

OOC:

What I'm truly aiming for is a multi-prong warclaim, with three battles being fought at once at the exact same time: One by the Dwarves bombarding the Hive, the Seond by the Scoins warclaiming the Hive and invading by land, with the Third being the Sariants and the Luciens making progress Northwards.

Failing that, perhaps we could have one battle after another on the same day, Sariants and Lucians attack at H-hour, Dwarves begin assault at H-hour + 1, and Scions invading the Hive at H-hour + 2.

Scions are saying that they're gonna be attacking on February Second (2nd) at 5:30PM EST. Any chance the Dwarves/Lucians/Sariants can begin a warclaim on their portions as well?

(Another reason I'm requesting this is because I don't think that there has ever been multiple battles fought at once, and I think it would be interesting. It'll be the largest battle against the Northerners/Antags  in Anthos history by far.)

Edit: Scion warclaim is at 5:30 PM EST

Kalameet itches his chins gently, a note is returned.

"These Northern Beasts must take their leave, we can no longer allow progression to be stunted and halted by them. The Mali will aid in the ending of these foul creatures. Send further word, and perhaps we could end their destructive reign."

Kalameet then sends word to his men, and Council. The letters simply bare the words:

"Initiate Order sixty-six, Make Remove of The Scourge."

In the Ugluk clan camp at Gronkkston, the Wargoth Malog'Ugluk is seated upon his throne staring into the fire pit with his usual disposition of grim stoicism as he contemplates issues within general orcish affairs and the management of his clan. His daughter, Nurena, waits eagerly on a nearby bench as Malog's lifemate, Durah, prepares her a heavy bowl of a thick fish soup. His silent contemplation is broken by the voice of an Ugluk Rage Guard entering the clan hall, "Throm'ka, Wargoth. Der am a zhara peepin fur lat."

Malog nods and motions for the orc to allow the messenger in. He stares sternly at the frail human as he approaches the throne. The smell of a piked, festering head by Malog's armrest assaults the messenger's nostrils. As the man shakily holds out a sealed letter Malog swiftly grabs it, and snorts as he motions for the human to be on his way. He breaks the seal and quietly reads the letter. Afterwards, he grabs a piece of sharpened charcoal and some parchment, and writes his response .

"Da UAC wull kontinyuu tu klomp da Zkurj az wi hab biin.    Malog then folds the letter and seals it with his signet ring, leaving the proud Ugluk Bull pressed into the seal.

Assuming Aret understands the Blah, or at least has a translator who understands it, the letter would read as follows:

"The UAC will continue to combat the Scourge as we have been. The recent conflict between orcs and the elves of Malinor has made things a bit complicated, but the orcs and humans will still stand against the Northerners. I cannot promise that the orcs will stop any of the other wars we are in. As a matter of fact, the orcs will not stop any of the other wars we are in until the Council of the Krugmar Confederation agrees to do so. My brothers and I have been very offended by the actions of the dwarves, and we will continue to fight them until the Wargoths and the High Shaman have decided that they have been properly punished. Of course, how much the dwarves should be punished is a big matter of discussion within the Council. That being said, the UAC will assist as usual in the killing of the Scourge. Fight with honor. Signed, Malog'Ugluk, Wargoth of the Ugluk clan and Commander of the UAC."

He then hands the letter off to a goblin who carries it to it's recipient. Malog turns his attention to his mate and his cub, going about his usual business.

That is the response I expected... there is no point in pestering them further..."
