Is Magic Of Interest To You?

A note is pinned up to a nearby pillar, tree or tavern depending on your situational area. The note's letters are glowing a clear, eerie ebony color.

As it would seem, there is a large interest in the magical arts as of late. Upon my recent discovery of the capabilities of large pillars I've coined as Mana Obelisks, I've grown in dire need of capable students and apprentices. So I've taken the option of openly displaying my grand need for intellectuals such as myself, and hoping the denizens of the Fringe will come, seeking knowledge as I once did. So the lingering question must be answered, what am I capable of teaching? Nearly all Arcane magics, my own specialties being Illusion, Transmutation, Enchanting, Abjuration(Alteration), and Arcane Evocation.

Although I will not take any imbecile who seeks fame and glory, I seek those who are truly capable of displaying intelligence, and logical thinking. I'd like students and apprentices who show determination, and drive. So I've a question for anyone who might be interested in the knowledge I offer; tell me why I should choose you, and which trait fits you the best? Determined? Driven? Logical? Intelligent?

"Greetings, Seekers of knowledge, and wayward magi alike.

Upon catching sight of my comrade Kalameet Izalith offering his teachings to those who would desire it, I have deemed it necessary to offer far more than originally intended. I am Magister Vedaer, of the Council of Magisters. An adept evoker of both flame and wind, I also take pride in my knowledge of illusionary practices, and the darker arts. I offer my knowledge to one student who would seek it's study. As Magister Izalith has done above, I request a letter be returned, explaining to myself why it is that I should consider you.

A logical mind is a stable mind, students."

A note seems to be attached with a cold aura "I am of Lincia Nibula (Maiden Name) and I wish to become one of your so called students for the time being. I'm already in knowledge of three other magics but I would like to perfect my last one of illusion. I am capable of the most important trait which is intelligence and I wish for nothing more than to progress. I wish for you to pick me so to bring more of a source of power and backbone rather than another of these feeble users. I wish to make an example for others and it would but a pleasure to have that generated by having you show me."

*Ben walks up to the odd sigh, reading its words carefully.*

"This might just be what I was looking for..."

*scribbles down his answer, it reads.*

'I am Ben Avice. I'm merely a laborer but the dull tasks bore me. I've been reading quite a bit about magic, Illusion magic specifically. I've tried my hand a few times to no avail.. The trait that would fit me best would be, determined. As I am determined to leave my boring life behind and follow a new path.'

*Folds up the note and pins it up.*

Then an example you will be. I am currently in Alras, come seek me, Seeker.

Determined? Good. I like determination. Once more, I am in Alras for the time being, come seek me, Seeker.

Seraph eyes the note with an air of intrigue, largely gained from their last interaction. She moves to respond when she reaches her home.

"Greetings Kalameet, upon reading the missive and considering recent developments. I have endeavored to seek your teaching again. Though under largely different circumstances now. When we first spoke I was determined to learn, yet had an air of caution about losing what I had already gained through my work. Those material positions and recognition are lost to me know, and the mind clouding thoughts have receded as well. My reasons for the acquisition are still my own, likely not to sway from that. Now my resolve is iron-clad compared to before, my drive unshakable. With these conditions of mind I answer your question with this. Not one of those traits will succeed without the others. And thus stating only one is foolish. I choose not one of those traits as no one can define me solely. Let fate decide if one shines above the others in coming days."

Seraph seals the letter in wax and thread binding before sending it off.

Nicholas carefully reads the note pinned to the tree, before leaving to find a unused piece of parchment.  After having found a piece of parchment the small human began to write his response on it.  The writing would appear to be quite small, yet surprisingly neat.  "Hello Kalameet, it's quite nice to know someone is willing to share their knowledge of the magical arts.  I've thoroughly read your message, and desire to be your student, or apprentice, if you would deem me acceptable." Nicholas pauses, thinking for a moment, before returning to the parchment.  "I consider myself quite driven, if you will, for tasks that are not only beneficial for myself, but for others.  Now of course, this is just my view of myself, which can be considered slightly biased.  That statement aside I believe I would be able to be a capable student, one that desires to learn, and not slack off."  The small man taps his chin slightly with his writing utensil, thinking of what to write for a moment.  "I sincerely hope this message didn't waste any of your time, and if it did I deeply apologize."

Elindor becomes worried that if he stands still too long he will be covered by posters from magic teachers.

*A note is pinned beneath this one*

Karin'ayla, Magister. I am Yulnii Elibar'acal, of Tahn'siol. I am interested in this offer, and seek to be tutored under your guidance. Why am I an ideal choice for the position, may you ask? Well, simply put, my family devotes their life to the study and practice of magic. We are attempting to become prominent in that area. The true thing that many people lack is experience in that field. While it can be certain that I do lack the necessary qualifications for such, I am certain that my drive and my dedication to the magical arts shall impress you. I am also a quick learner, so I shan't burden you for too long. The illusionary arts, and evoking, have always held a heroic place in my mind.

Please give me your consideration

-Yulnii Elibar'acal

He takes the piece of parchment and reads with keen eyes.

"I am Moarador, a seeker of knowledge, but I will not lie: I seek fame and glory upon the mastery of magic and I am new to this land, but willing. If you, the wise Magister Valdear will take me as your humble apprentice... you will have no regrets for no mountain is to0 high and no land so vast as to stop me from learning your great ways... accept it or not my respect goes to you a master of the fine and specific art of magic..."

Folding the parchment he walks away...

*Avalus walks up to the pillar, examining the note. After some contemplation, he writes a response on another note.*

"Greetings Kalameet, My name is Avalus Roft. I am a wanderer who is looking to expand his knowledge of the world. I've been intrigued by magic for a good time now, however I have not found a teacher thus far. I am interested in Arcane Evocation, albeit I have heard it is quite hard to learn. I believe that a good word to describe me would be driven. I tend to put my heart and mind to something when I set forth to achieve it. I look forward to your response.

*Avalus folds the note up, and posts it beneath the original note, walking off.*
