It seems I've been ganked while asleep, but I'll respond to each of you.

@Zebanamana: Thank you again for having that chat with me. I still use that pm convo for info on human racism. Thank you also for trying to defuse the situation, but I'm not "perceiving" any insults. I have been insulted, and I'm not just going to take it.

@Niccum: You should honestly feel bad about yourself for judging me without ever having talked to me one on one. I don't know why you hate me so much, as I've never said anything negative about you or the Lucienists when they were still around. Hell, I tried to get them involved in an event quest line I was running the one time, which Zhulik told me you refused because "it might be a cleric plot". Calm down.

@Zezimus: Thank you.

@Gaius: Yeah, I know I made an assumption. It was a mistake, which I've since apologized for to Kowaman on page 2. This has now turned into a way to get peoples hate towards me out of their system so:

Anyway, if you have a problem with me take it to PMs. This is supposed to be a thread of rational discussion.

I agree with Wilette. Don't remove an element of server role play simply because it causes friction between opposing factions. The mods tried to do that at the beginning of the war and look how that turned out. Role play is a loud activity that shouldn't be muted.

You do realize that I pretty much turned my post into a song from Oh Brother Where Art Thou, can't really tell if you then took me seriously.

I can't, because I am a man of constant sorrow.

Dont make victory posts for stupid **** and glorify it to mad levels like kipples (grr) did when he was king. Victory posts are for victories, namely warclaims. Raids are hit and ******* run, it's kill, loot, leave. There is no victory, the city still stands, the people are still alive and they happen every day. By making so many victory posts for such dumb ****, true victory posts lose all meaning.

tl;dr

make victory posts when there's a victory

not for raids

not for dumb ****

(:

I agree with niccum in the sense that watyll should shut up and the victory posts themselves aren't the problem. They're usually pretty well thought out and well written. It's the fact it always devolves into shitstorms in the comments below.

If a kid can't handle a nice toy without being a brat take the toy away.

The hypocrisy here is mind baffling at best. The last time a victory post was written, you helped feed the OOC insult in Roleplay form.

Save victory threads for war claims, and other battles where the winner actually gets something, like a town, land, etc.

It would appear that this thread has run its course. I will remind everyone that the forums are not the place for you to personally insult people. Locking.

As a GM, let me place my say on this. There are three solutions here.

1. Leave it as it is. Obviously, folks are annoyed at that, but there's the simple matter of freeing up forum roleplay. This creates tons of OOC spite and hate. Honestly, you all know better.

2. Ban the threads completely, or lock 'em. If we do this, the victory threads will serve no purpose other than to gain the spite of other sides via OOC "Haha, we won" means. This would mean their only purpose would be documentation, and they would be better off served going straight to the Great Library.

3. Every GM and FM can be instructed to remove all "Person A cries in victory" "Arru Arru" and one-liners in threads such as that, and hand out warning points accordingly. Forum roleplay is where you actually put some thought into what you're writing, and give it in a presentable manner. Check the Forum Roleplay section of the forums for ideas on how to do that. Now, being the strict guy is never fun, but it seems like it is necessary in this situation. Maybe after receiving warning points, y'all wouldn't be so ready to create anger and malcontent among each other.

I'm just disappointed, folks. You all know how to behave, and should treat each other kindly.

I'm locking this and presenting it to the other GMs for final review. Be nice to people.

Edit: Bird ninja-ed me. Goshdarn.

Moved to the Great Library. It shall be sorted into appropriate category shortly.
