Snow elves have a larger population than some subraces listed.. the fact that they aren't doesn't make sense

Doesn't matter. You're still a culture.

Professions boosts shouldn't always mean an alteration on the professions system. For example, I beleive that goblins should have an increase to gold earning. Maybe 2%. Maybe 5%. Whatever it is, but anytime gold is earned for something the amount that is received is more. This doesn't flow back into the professions plugin but sits more closely to the existing sub race lore about them being sneaky traders.

There would be other things for other races that aren't based on the professions plugin but still feeding back into the idea of a profession. Just saying. Keep your minds open a lil bit if something doesn't sit right, there might be a sub-race buff outside the box that is perfect.

Do you realize the one reason we're not a subrace? The snow elves were originally an ET race, and the LM doesnt think that players should be able to play an ET race!

Or do trading rp and actualy be sneaky, instead of having the techs rewrite the entire shop plugin%

Ugh this reason right here, has caused me no end of irritation.

No. You are aren't a subrace because you aren't a subrace and it has been stated all over the map that no more subraces will be allowed in the foreseeable future. You weren't told you can't be a subrace because snow elves were originally an ET played group. You were told you can't be a subrace because that's how it is and how it was stated when players wanted to play snow elves.

Back to the topic.

-----------

Magic Resistance for High Elves seems a bit monotonous since they are the leading mage group. They have a trait that defends them against their selves and it is a bit weird to me.

Is there a list of the racial perks?

Yes indeed!

Humans: Being the race favored by new players, Human benefits are fully invisible and won't jar anybody with confusion. But they do get their Mob Mentality modifier ('Patriotism' in Telaniresque), which lets them strike against other Players with extra melee damage if a large amount crowd of Humans has formed.

Halflings: Are not mob-oriented and have decreased health. They are compensated with the highest XP modifiers from skills.

Elves: Another simple Race. All Elves but Darkies get a tiny inert speed boost. Generic Elves have this speed boost doubled, while Pure Elves get bonuses depending on their subrace:

Wood Elves: Increased damage when firing arrows.

High Elves: Natural resistance to Magic Damage (harm potions, spells).

Dark Elves: Can activate a quick burst of speed by tapping shift twice, with a cooldown. (My personal favorite)

To somewhat balance Racial Numbers, the other races receive bonuses that are more complex. Arguably, they are more beneficial than the ones of Humans and Elves, which should hopefully increase their popularity, but they are also harder to master. Each of these races has high benefits, but also a penalty to add flavor.

Dwarves: Short and stout bulwarks, the Dwarves are able to take a beating and keep ticking. Their size leaves them with a speed penalty, but in return they have vastly increased health and natural sturdiness, which makes it harder to push them out and easier for them to counterattack. They should be especially suited for defending choke points and holding their ground. They have their knockback resistance, which lets them stay in formation and counterattack, making the charging of Dwarves a dangerous endaevour.

Orcs: Orcs receive something which faintly resembles Blood rage. Although Orcs have a damage penalty when they initially get into a fight, (due to their bad eyesight). They will see their damage increase as the battle rages and they take hits. An Orc that is damaged will be enraged and strike fiercer. Orcs also have increased health due to their desert-grown toughness. They should be ideal for charging headfirst into battle.

Shamans: Receive resistance to Elemental damage (fire, poison, lightning) instead of the above

Goblins: Have slightly decreased health and a speed bonus. They will receive higher XP modifiers for skills

Kha: The swift Kharajyr should be regarded a stealthy hit-and-run race. They are fragile when barraged (decreased health), but are  also swift and deal vastly increased melee damage. The Jungle, where arrows fail and surprise flank attacks are crucial, should particularly enhance the Kha gameplay.

How are shamans a sub race..

Always has been. It has never really sat all that well because you can't just set your subrace to shaman and practice shamanism. But no other divergent of Orc ever seemed to gain enough momentum to become a sub-race. Would it be good to see it replaced? Yes it would.

Just finished the survey.

I thought that maybe Northerners would be better lumberjacks and craftsmen with wood, leather and stone. I also thought that since they might have a firmer grip on their culture, they would have retained more glyphs than the other races, and should start by knowing 1 random low level glyph.

Maybe that's just me being patriotic about Viking runes and my culture… but meh.

Shaman hasn't been a subrace since Aegis...

I think even Ford (the one Southeron) outnumbers the snelven population to be fair.
