Also apologies for the delay, I debated seriously on whether I should allow settlements be taken without consent, as it was like in Asulon.

The result was negative. But perhaps 2 months of ooc protection sounds too much. We will test the victory and losing conditions, everything will be subject to change over the course of time.

Don't allow settlements to be taken without consent. Trust me.

How do we apply for a war claim? What is the format and where should it be posted?

Why on earth would a group have to pay to go to war? They already have to supply themselves with armor, weapons, food, etc. To throw this in is just added BS. I don't see the RP reasoning either if your nation is self sufficient... why would we just throw 32 gold blocks and two double chests full of food into the air and have it magically vanish?

Don't act like shite isn't easy to grind or get at this point. Everyone's got a few stacks of iron and gold in their nation chests. Plus, it makes realism sense.

Most of the rules are pretty good, but no raiding would be quite problematic for Orcs who literally run off raiding and banditry

Orcs can now go and be bandits! Fun RP! No need for raids :3

You may not refuse warclaims. But 3 GMs appointed by an admin will oversee and act as mediators to see if the warclaim should be accepted and to oversee the battle will go smoothly.(I'll explain the GM's role in a few)

This rule is horrible. You should ALWAYS be allowed to say no. Now there is nothing to stop the pvp-hungry ***hats from trying to attack smaller communities that just want PEACE! War = Suck.

@Narthok

That doesn't even make sense. This new plugin and it's bs wait times makes it hard enough to get ready for a war. Now we have to throw stuff into the air and have it magically disappear ON TOP of having to get the actual food, weapons, armor, and siege equipment.

So, you're saying that wars have.. value now?

The problem with that system is because those gold blocks and iron blocks do not go ANYWHERE. They vanish completely from what is inferred and do not contribute to anything. We're going to end up with a screwed up economy again if we have stacks of blocks vanishing. If there is war, the gm's should distribute gold ingots to the soldiers to promote a stable economy.

Where does the gold we give go?  Randomly throwing that stuff away is bad for the economy Mr rice man!!

Edit:  I like Throdo's idea.  Spread Gold nuggest amongst the soldiers as almost 'pay', I'd say distribute half to the winning side of the war.  It already is pretty costly to lose an entire armies set of armor with crafting times now.

Remember children, this is a pretty legit manner to address Mr. Iron Chef!

But no one uses physical currency. If you're losing materials in bulk like this, wouldn't it only stimulate the economy as groups scramble to purchase more of what's needed to conduct war?

Why not the GMs just use the stuff given to them and add them to GM run shops to redistribute back into the economy?

This rule is horrible. You should ALWAYS be allowed to say no. Now there is nothing to stop the pvp-hungry ***hats from trying to attack smaller communities that just want PEACE! War = Suck.

I believe this should go hand in hand with pvp and rp. If you wish to make land for yourself and be peaceful, all the power to you. But don't think because you are peaceful that you are immune to people wanting your items to help further their need for things. That is just being unrealistic there.

Attitudes like this are why we can't have nice things. Seriously, don't do it. It looks bad.

Well, you do waste a lot of resources in war irl that go nowhere. All those dosh spent on war equipment and machinery? Where do they go? No one knows. If anything, it will help rebalance the economy.

Please calm down and re-read the rest of the rules. As you can see, you can deny giving up your land and then not get bothered for 2 months.

You could just have it as if you win, you get all or a portion of the resources you put in back. If we are going to have an invisible force taking those resources it ought to at least give it back so that its not just a vortex of items creating a gap in economic benefits for war. In a real life situation, there would be plenty to jack from a city for profit when pillaging it, but just like how minecraft simplicity lets us not have to pay our soldiers to fight, it also prevents us from gaining "riches" like one ought to.
