501warhead 1796 Share Posted November 15, 2014 An Uruk is seen travelling down the main road, arms bandaged and chest exposed as he strides toward his destination. He seems to walk with a resolve and ignores any attempt to speak with him, his journey the most important thing on the Uruk's mind. He moves with an unstoppable goal toward the heart of the heartland, the center of Athera - the Atlas Arena positioned perfectly in the center of the mainland. Now abandoned, it was curious as to why the Uruk would head there. Regardless, he would stop for nothing... However, it was hardly a strange sight to see an Uruk on the road, even bandaged and armorless... what made this Uruk noticeable was his weapon. Finely crafted, it was incredibly out of place on the beat-up uruk, a work of art on an otherwise unnoticeable entity. It would gleam as the Uruk walked through the sunlit areas of the road, the axe's neck griped tightly by the Uruk. The Axe seemed familiar however... A name was put onto it in whispers as the Uruk passed: "The Axe of Krug" The Uruk arrived at the Arena, now followed by a small crowd. He ascended the flight of stairs and walked around to the Balcony of the abandoned, never used arena and boosted himself onto the railing, standing tall and straight while raising the Axe to the sky. Taking a breath, the Uruk began his speech. ((Language in standard common for ease of reading)) [blizzard Ent., Warlords of Draenor Cinematic] "I have returned after these long years to show my success... but I have returned to a world with an unchristened Arena, unbloodied and a stain upon this world. A shame and a sore point that all of the Creator's Children should feel to their very bone. So allow me to announce the Christening of this pitiful place with a triumphant roar and the sound of real conflict. I bear the Axe of the Father, but I do not need this blade. However the Axe will not be born by the weak... Come mortals and break yourselves upon each other. One Elven Week from now I will return to this arena and announce the beginning of the festivities. A free-for-all in this arena, a true bloodbath in the name of sport." "From this I will choose Five of my kin to fight, in the spirit of the Father. However... perhaps I may be shown the strength of you others. Prove me wrong that your races aren't as weak as I have known them and perhaps I may give you a chance if you are the last one standing." "However, this is hardly a time for pure combat. The Christening of an arena is a glorious event, bring food and celebrations! Gather around and watch the show! What greater event can there be than a test of strength!?" "Prove to me your Worth, Athera!" The Uruk turns around, pleased with his speech and makes an exit from the Arena, heading on to wait for the time to return. ((OOC DETAILS)) 11/23/14 2PM-5:30 PM EST Armor Armor will be provided for all stages of the fights. It will be Iron Armor and an Iron sword. These will be given and removed before and after the fights, respectively. Lore I hate to really put anything in regards to a background story in the main post but since it is a concern - the "Lore" is solid. I am not one to verbally state lore for everyone to read, so you must find out the details yourself. I suppose in the day and age of everyone accusing others of powergaming as soon as something happens that you yourself don't OOCly know how happened you believe it to be incorrect. This is not the case for any of my Events. Event Details Free-For-All the the beginning, anyone can join. Orcs are considered on a seperate meter, dependant upon how well you do you will be placed differently. (Dom can place 3rd, another orc 7th, another orc 8th, another orc 10th, another orc 15th and they would be considered orc 1, orc 2, orc 3, orc 4, and orc 5 respectively unless an orc was between them. ) The Winner of the Free-For-All gets into the 1-on-1s regardless of race All 1-on-1s are a Best of 5 matches with grand finals being a Best of 7 matches Winner receives the dormant Axe of Krug, to be used in later events.
