The Wiki Update!

The Wiki has been updated!

This is a long time coming, but the Wiki has recently been given a large update! However the Wiki will never be 100% complete, this is certainly a step in the right direction. The new Front page has been given a facelift, and was idealised around holding player retention, while offering a quick and efficient way of finding what you’re looking for.

As you can tell, the Front page is broken into central topics. Races, History, Life In Lotc, Magic, Mechanics, and Others! They all have their own individual subsections, which the Wiki folk call “Hub sections”. Each of these Hub sections are generally hubs for a plethora of more links, and possible routes for information regarding each topic; hence the name we’ve given them! It’s also become imperative to offer ways of each Hub section to eventually intertwine with the other sections, in hopes that the reader can glide between topics with ease.

A philosophy I’ve personally been keeping in mind; Don’t make the Player read anymore then they came for. Offer opportunities for the said Player to learn more, through suggested topics, but don’t force feed.

I implore everyone to go check out the new format the Wiki is in, and offer some constructive feedback regarding it! We’re aware some pages aren’t yet complete, and we Wiki folk have an idea to rectify this. Our job isn’t necessarily to fill out all of the Wiki pages (although we try to), it’s more so to try to construct the actual format, and layout of the Wiki. So what I suggest, is if you find a section you believe you’ll be good at filling out, fill it out! We’ll gladly work with you to get that page finished, with the help you provide.

Is there any section for those who wish to help the wiki? Writing topics on well known (or lesser known) characters, nations, events, towns, etc that are void of information? I would love to see something where we could submit a wiki topic to you for review, and then implementation. I love to check up on it, but it's often fallen short. Glad to see there's been and update!
