An Invitation To All: Neutral Grounds

From the Orenian Capital City of Petrus, scores of birds flew - all bearing messages to individuals all across the realm. From the heavily fortified gates of the city did men on swift mounts spill forth, delivering their announcements to every civilized corner of the world.

 

"Denizens of Athera!" they would shout,

 

"It is my pleasure to officially invite all who hear to the coronation of His Majesty, King Andrik Vydra of Oren in a few elven days! 

 

It is the Kings wish that all in Athera, be they Dwarf or Elf, pagan or true believer, attend this coronation!

 

All hostilities with any group shall be suspended in the Kingdom of Oren itself, for the duration of the festival and the day upon which it is held.

 

To the Dwarven King, his Lords and people: You are all invited to come with no fear for your lives, as this is a joyous occasion that has the King seeking terms of peace and reconciliation. 

 

To those Self-Proclaimed Lords and Kings who have not yet been brought under the banner of Orenia: The King beseeches that you attend this coronation and the festivals thereafter with as many people as may want to attend to witness the splendor of Petrus. The King wishes to speak to those Lords who consider themselves independent, so that terms may be negotiated regarding incorporation and vassalization. 

 

To the High Elves of Haelun'or, the Sohear who holds it, and any High Elven Subjects: So recently our brave allies in war, the King does formally and with great pleasure invite all High Elves to the city, to not only witness the momentous occasion that will take place, but also hopefully to mend old wounds and create new friendships.

 

To the peace loving Halflings: The King has great desire to meet any and all half-folk, to the purpose of cultivating future relationships as well as demonstrating that Oren is not a nation of war-mongers, but a prosperous Kingdom that has a similar love for peace as the Halfling people.

 

To the Orcs of the Uzg and its new Rex: Any Orc is free to attend the festivities, so long as he deigns not to break the Kings peace and follows the instructions of the Kings peacekeepers.

 

To all recognized nobility within the Kingdom: All Lords are expected to attend, or send a proxy in their stead should it not be possible. The First Adrian Regiment, the Order of St. Amyas, and any levy raised by any Lord are invited to attend in whatever capacity they desire, except they must attend as civilians as the Kings city may not be patrolled by any standing military other then his own Second Regiment of Akovia. It is highly encouraged that Lords come with all the small folk available to them, so as to allow them to partake in the festivities and witness the coronation of the King.

 

To any Sovereign nation, guild, or wanderers that have not yet been addressed: All are welcome to the Kings city for his coronation, and may come with no fear for their lives regardless of current political relations or past crimes. The day of the coronation shall be one of utter neutrality, with no persecution of guests lest they commit a crime in the city itself during the festivities. 

 

So come one, come all to Petrus! Witness the glory of Humanity! Rekindle old friendships, put to the grave old rivalries for with his coronation the King plans to harken in Athera an age of peace and prosperity such that the world has never seen before! Hail Oren! Hail Vydra!"
