Moot 1719 Popular Post Share Posted March 15, 2015 With our most recent GM meeting now concluded, the GM Team has some news which will be quite controversial amongst players, I have no doubt. I hope those this will be effecting take heed, because there will be little tolerance, regardless if it’s playing a fine-line. So to some, I believe it has become increasingly apparent that the GM Team has taken on a new opinion on government quips, satirical content, and inappropriate memes on the forums, and in game. Allow this to be our official announcement for everyone- Toxic satirical content Example: Allahu akbar!!! Toxic memes Example: Saying “are you memeing?” in-game Personalized quips at others Posting anything with the intents of personally attacking another None of these things will be tolerated, and those who continue with the toxicity, will be thoroughly punished. However, I’m sure you’re curious as to why we’ve suddenly taken a new stance on this issue. The answer is quite simple- It looks bad on you, it looks bad on us, and it looks terrible for the server. Everyday we get new players stopping by our forums, and in game, either with intent on applying, or to see our server. When these players visit, and see exactly how our playerbase is acting, players screaming “Allahu akbar” “are you memeing me???”, these visitors turn away with a bad taste in their mouth, most likely not to return. It may also very well set a poor precedent for new players, and fuel further toxic nature.Those of you who have found comedic value in this nonsense, have been directly offering a detriment to player retention, which in the end effects you too. Less people to play the game with, and less of a variety of players. We promote a kind, and open attitude, because it brings more people in, makes people feel welcomed, and gives all of us a better chance at having fun. We’re not making this call to lash at the players, or to spite those of you who use this kind of comedy. We’re doing it because we want you all to have fun. But when RP is serious, you act serious.
