Persona / Account Rule Addition

Alright players, another rule that is added!

 

On the topic of professions we must remember that (albeit it not the most efficient way of going about) it is the mechanical representation of your character's abilities within that field. Be it farming, blacksmithing, fishing, etc. Now, it has always been a rule that one players character remains their's regardless of circumstances. 

 

Purchasing of another player's account for their persona is in clear violation of that. Now this is not to say that we dissallow players from purchasing second-hand accounts, no but if done the personas on that count (from the previous owner) are to be deleted.

 

We're here to enjoy ourselves on the server, professions are a way for you to spend more time on the server and unlock features that you can then use to assist in your enjoyment of the server, it's not meant to be used as a way to make a quick buck. 

 

I hope that you understand our reasoning behind this, as it's truly with the future of the server in mind that this is, will be, and has been, enforced.

By the way, professions are /surely/ fun and add a lot to the general roleplay found on the server.

He was banned by his own request to several of us in TS.  It had nothing to do with the persona deletion itself.  When he comes to ask to be unbanned, he will be.

What are you talking about, spending hours upon hours in a tree farm alone cutting down up to 20 double chests of spruce log stacks was totally fun and brought me so much interesting RP!

Yes it is your money, their account and if you want to buy it then go for it, that's not what's the issue. The issue is purchasing it purely for the intent purpose of having their persona, the rule of not playing another persons character (aka persona) is not allowed and the account itself is fine to be purchased, but the persona will be removed.

As a note, I stated that professions were meant for that. Please feel free to bring up your concerns of such at the Community Meeting coming up, thanks.

 

(AKA. I know that you feel the professions aren't fun, please slap my face at the meeting with ways you think could fix such.)
