12th of Malin’s Welcome, 1501

The hall slowly began to fill as the Order began to take their seats. As it had happened six years prior, and to the confusion of the assembled, Zahrer slowly paced into the room flanked on either side by his kin. Making his way to the center, he muttered a quick prayer before turning to the gathered Dwedmar.

((Normal Speech))

"Good evening lads and lasses. It is a pleasure to once more meet with such fine and honorable Dwed. Some of you may ask why I am here. Or how I am here. I will explain.

Six years ago we met and forged a plan to retake Khaz'Urguan and it quickly became apparent that our friends would rather follow the Doomforged King and the council of the dishonored. Seeing this, as many of you know, I withheld the Crown and Armor of Urguan so that it would not fall into the hands of that Lord's Council. I boarded my flagship and sailed into the West seas with my close family and many of you, as I now understand it, also fled the downfall of the nation. But I never left. At least not in the way that you think. I was always watching, my friends. Watching... Waiting... When it became apparent that this Doomforged King was far more honorable and trustworthy than those whom we left behind, even going as far as to throw out the Lord's Council, I endeavored to return and made to present him with the relics. And return I did. Yet I was too late. As my landing craft hit the beach on the Southern shores, my feet were knocked from underneath me by the explosions of the remainder of my fleet."

He pauses, a look of anger and sorrow dominating his features as he attempts to gather himself. Clearing his throat he looks up to those around him before beginning once more.

"I watched in silent horror as the Doomforged King sank beneath the waves. As my kin and my friends fled from the shores or were dragged off to the Cloud Temple. As my ships exploded in flames and fell to the bottom of the bay. And I clutched the relics to my chest, fleeing to this place where we now meet. And I remained silent, waiting again, measuring the worth of Urguan's kin. They elected Balek to the throne. An honorable choice in most respects, though he is praised for much that the previous kings had done. And now I learn of the forced conscription of the Dwedmar into the legion. The fall of Hiebenhall. The continued war with our friends in Oren! Through my eyes I have seen and made my decision. I shall withhold the gifts of our forefather. Not until he proves himself further. And to further my resolve, with the council of my fellow members of the Order, I have decided that we shall offer up our halls to all those who flee the conscription of the Grand Kingdom and the needless war with Oren."

The hall falls silent as those around nod and speak their agreement to his words. He bows his head to those gathered and they follow suit before he turns. One by one they file from the hall, whether back to their respective portions of the city or to the outside world to find those fleeing the war.

Skippy shakes his head to the misguides crazy words of an old King. He then speaks up "How is it our fault that the war is still going on? Hiebenhall and Kal'Bogrin (void Kal'Bogrin if it isn't true in RP, it's what I heard) are now Oren's. And now they seek more of our land: our mountains. They are conquerors, blinded by power. And you want us to simply take it? Who are ye ta call yerself a King ov Urguan? Who are ya ta t'ink ov yerself higher den Balek? Come te yer senses!"

Thryn shakes his head, laughing to himself almost bemused at the notion this Dwarf takes, "It seems the old so called heroes of the past all threw themselves under the cape of Orenia, looking to divide and weaken their own people. It's truly pitiful when a king's nationalist feelings for his nation are so squashed by a foreign power. A word of advise, 'noble king', lower your head, but don't extinguish your kin's fire."

Grungron leans back in his study within Avalon, giving a large frown upon the news of Zahrer from his kin. "Looks loike 'e was a 'eretic after all, can nay believe I uncorrupted da armor ov Urguan fir it tu be 'eld by 'n traitor tu da Kingdom un I say dat as un w'o 'as left da Kingdom myself, t'oug' fir gud reasons. Nevert'eless, politics are corrupt wit' da Dwarves 'n will ruin da Kingdom unce more wit' an upstart loike dis. Unless Zahrer 'as truly turned 'is back un da Brathmordakin, 'e will nay 'old da artifacts fir long, da enc'antments will probableh fade in toime aneway wit' out maintenance un da crown from Blundermore loike da past 'as s'own."

Ioannis looks at Zahrer and spits on the ground

"Dividing our population in a time of crisis? A true King would unite his people and fight but never offer cowards a place to flee. Thats not the glorious Zahrer i once knew"
