Introduction

After some strenuous political strife that I’m sure most of you witnessed or at least heard tell of, I have taken lead of the ET. Since then, we have been working diligently to complete current projects and bring numerous more your way. Throughout this post, we’d like to share with you a few things about the current ET, in hopes of drawing the community closer with us. With your support and patience, I am confident we can transform the server into something to be proud of. I think it’s high time that we find stock in the words “Lord of the Craft is the #1 Minecraft Roleplaying Experience.”

What we’ve done

Although our team is extremely new in terms of management, we have still accomplished significant feats in these last few weeks. The team worked and is STILL working extremely hard on the new map which you all are exploring now, Vailor, in the hopes of bringing you an immersive, engaging roleplaying experience. The blank canvas idea spoken time and time again by myself is well and good, however, it simply does not work without the current extreme drive and diligence of the Event Team. I implore you to continue with your trust in these hardworking ladies and gentlemen, and thusly help us reach the best possible product.

What we’re planning

Racial Events

Under the leadership of Tirenas, a fairly large portion of the Event Team has been banded together to provide thorough, dynamic events for each nation. These groups will be communicating with nation leaders to keep players interested, and will also be working towards conveying the lore of Vailor to the various players of the server.

Buddy List

In order to bring provide a better experience for the players and the new members on the Event Team we’re instituting a buddy system. This new buddy system will pair ETs together in order to bring them out of their comfort zone, all the meanwhile helping the ET become more of a team, rather than a group of independent members trying to provide fun roleplay for different sects of the community.

Bounty Board/Noticeboard Events

In preparation for the plans the ET Managers and Lead have made for Vailor, we have decided to implement the new 'noticeboard and bounty' system under the leadership of ET Manager Gunnerdude. With this, we are going to be using a unique way of encouraging both Event line roleplay, activity within the trade subsection, and overall enjoyment and satisfaction of our events on the server. The basic concept of the Noticeboard and Bounty system is that we have monsters/creatures that attack villages and towns around Vailor, either by assaulting their citizens, harming livestock, causing damage, etc. By doing this, we motivate the nations/factions that belong to said town/village, to do something that will neutralize the threat. This is where the noticeboards and bounties come into play, which basically allows the nation/faction to post a thread on the forums under the trade section saying 'We'll pay you so and so minas to go and kill this monster/creature'.

Encouraging player involvement, the individual(s) who claim the bounty get an event where they either track down the monster, enter their lair and whatnot. What is unique about our system compared to most other monster events, is that we have have included a ‘threat system’. The threat system works by giving the monster a level of threat; low, medium, high or extreme. Low and medium are relatively easy, where you might come out with an injury or two, but going into high and extreme threatens the players with possible death if they are not cautious. Now, despite in how most monster events the monster always dies, we're aiming to do character development for the creature/monster, making it infamous and reowned, and thus encouraging more player involvement in our events. At the end of the eventline, for however long we decide it lasts, the monster is slain and the reward is claimed.

Bridges!

As you all may know, many of the bridges connecting the continents of Vailor fell into disrepair with the passing of time. With the descendants now populating this new land, workers have begun to repair some of the most vital paths. Expect to see gradual construction on the bridges connecting the continents to the High Elves/Dwarves!

Upcoming Events

As a forenote, we have some mysterious interactions on the way. I’m not allowed to say a lot right now, but I will certainly leave you with a teaser picture! Make sure you’re watching for this stuff approaching soon!

New ET Members

With the need for new actors and builders rising after recent events, we present to you our newest ET members! I would ask you give each and every one of them a warm welcome. I am sure they will not disappoint.

Catarrh - Actor

Cataarh is one of our first Orcish ET in quite some time. I personally, along with my managers and much of the team, have experienced his general skill in RP, along with his exemplary work in Shamanism. We are all very excited to see what he brings.

RickyjctvBuilder

Ricky, a veteran builder whose skill comes highly recommended, is our second addition to the team. He has most commonly built with the Stafyr in the past. You can find a few examples of his skill in building on his ET application, and I hope to work with Ricky in bringing more of his constructions to you in game!

Arzota - Actor

Arzota, too,  comes highly recommended, a veteran member of our community. He holds quite a bit of experience within the elven sectors of roleplay, and I think I speak for the entire team when I say we look forward to what he comes up with!

Kralek - Actor

Kralek, our final addition to the team, claims homeage to both the dwarven and human communities. A long-term member of the server, we hope to see a lot of engaging events from him!

We need YOU for the Builder army

As of late, the Event Team has been making quite a lot of developments in terms of our build team. We’re currently looking into builders from all races, more specifically the Orcs and Dwarves. If you think you’re up to the task, put up an application and the Event Team leadership will review it.

To add onto Rael's recruitment drive for builders, upon my establishment as the go-to guy for Dwarf Racial Events - I would really love for Dwarven builds to be displayed. I already got KarmaDelta in mind, but I'd love one or two others and could possibly goad Rael into accepting you.

Sebasgann, I've been singing your praises for awhile now if you know why ;)

Bring back your ET App and, if interested, possibly speak about being a Coder. Now is the chance ;)
