The Iron Crown

  The sun blazes down hot and bright upon the Orcish capital of Lâz-dur, giving the sandstone walls of the palace an almost white gleam. Mighty horns sound from every corner of the desert, summoning the orcs to gather in the throne room. The symbols and visages of various spirits carved into the ornate walls stare down at all in attendance; some snarling and terrible, others calm and wise. Shamans within the crowd mutter chants to the spirits under their breath. After some time of waiting, the young Vrogash'Gorkil, son of the Great Iron Rex Vrogak'Gorkil, enters the room. All assembled turn their attention to him as he begins to speak:

 

 

  "Urukz! Mi am Vrogash uf Klan Gorkil, kub uf Vrogak'Gorkil, Rehx uf da Irun Uzg. Mi am blah myzelf, Vrogazh'Gorkil, az da Rehx uf da Irun Uzg!" He looks about at the many orcs gather, "Ib any uf latz hab anytin tu blah abud diz, nuw am da tym, Urukz!"

 

   As he says these words, the palace halls echo with a deafening roar of unanimous approval, "Heil Vrogash!"

 

   "Lung lib Rex Vrogash!"

   

   "Vrogash! Vrogash! Vrogash!"

 

  Vrogash steps forward, and nods, at which point, the High Shaman Malog'Yar hurries out of the room, calling for Shreck'Lak to retrieve the Iron Crown. As the others wait, Vrogash speaks, "Mi Vrogash uf Gorkil, kub uf Vrogak, gib latz my wurd. Mi am gun tu hunuh da Irun Uzg. Mi am gun tu hunuh da Uzg, agh tayke latz tu viktoreh!" Soon after, Malog reenters the room, leading a pair of cattle, and Shrek returns with the crown. After the orcs finish further shouts of approval, the High Shaman lifts an axe high above one of the cows, calling out to the spirits in the Old Blah:

 

   "Krug agh frumu! Udahok durub mabrotnogu orca'ob agh ognirob!" With that, his axe falls, sacrificing the first of the two animals. As the orcs continue to cheer and roar loudly for their new ruler, Malog leads the second cow closer to the throne, repeating the same Old Blah prayer, before slaying the offering, "Krug agh frumu! Udahok durub mabrotnogu orca'ob agh ognirob!" After the sacrifices have been made, the shaman proceeds to hack each of the carcasses in two, and motions Vrogash forward. 

 

   With the powerful stride befitting a Rex, Vrogash'Gorkil walks through the blood and entrails of the butchered beasts. Malog calls for the Iron Crown, and Shreck silently marches to the front. The blue-skinned behemoth lumbers up to Vrogash, offers him the crown and proclaims in a thundering voice, "Mi proklaym lat, Vrogash, Rex ub da Irun Uzg!"  The two shamans then step aside, as the young orc examines his crown. All the while, the throne room is flooded with shouts of "Heil!" The new Iron Rex steps forward, and ascends the steps of the imposing throne. He turns to look out at the crowd of orcs cheering him on, as he raises the crown high for all to see, and rests it upon his head. Finally, he rests back in his rightful throne, and waits for the orcs to settle down, before delivering a speeh:

 

  "Mi bruddahz, mi am tayke all uf latz tu hunuh agh viktoreh!" He reaches down by the side of the throne, where rests his father's warmask. He lifts the mask up for the assembly to see, and continues, "Diz am da mazk uf Vrogak, da Irun Rehx. Diz am da mazk mi am gun tu uze tu flat da zkahaz whu klomp agenzt da Urukz. Diz am da mazk mi am gun tu uze tu flat da zkahaz whu dizrezpekt da zpiritz. Diz am da mazk mi am gun tu uze tu flat da whytewazhez! Agh diz am da mazk mi am gun tu uze tu tayke diz uzg tu glureh!!!" 

 

  With that, the pounding of a staff is heard, followed by triumphant chanting loud enough to be heard clearly from outside the capital, as all the orcs shout proudly, "HEIL VROGASH! HEIL VROGASH! HEIL VROGASH!!!"
