Why 8 Bread?! Why not 12!! 32 bread has saved people since barely anyone is on in the UK timezone.

Because people who had cooking complained that they felt their thing was useless. I agree with you, I needed the /bread for me to be able to alt.

If I recall, /bread was only meant to be around for the first week of the map change so that people could settle in.

8 Bread is seriously low. 16 or 12 would have been better.

You can't actually survive on 32 bread anyway if you are doing alot of travel (sprint jumping) to find RP.

Acquiring food to be able to RP without dying has usually resulted in RP of; "Have any food...?"

That doesn't really create any RP as people just start dumping food on you in MC; and furthermore, doesn't stim the economy. I've always supported the professions be bonuses which aren't incredibly useful; but hey.

Seriously guys, acquiring a bunch of wheat isn't hard.

You have no idea how many times I've actually Bear Gryllsed maps from Asulon onward.

But on another note, eh bread isn't really hard to get.

If you go for that profession maybe, but then you got to find a farm too. I don't have either.

As a dwarf (Speed decrease, only way to get anywhere is a decent amount of time is sprint jumping), I'll say the 32 bread has saved me numerous times. Either because free food boxes are empty *cough cough* Bad farmers *cough, clearing throat* or...yea...free food boxes are where I get my food from as well as the /bread as a fail safe.

Also, note, my character is not a farmer. Primary: Smith Racial: Mining Bonus: Cooking (For when I actually have the wheat to cook with).

- I think its a good idea to cut /bread back.

- I think its hysterical that its actually being implemented when crops aren't growing.

I agree with the deduction of the amount of bread that you get from /bread, but I disagree with the amount that it was reduced by.

With 32 bread, I can survive entirely without having to purchase anything from a chef. So it does make the chef skill set obsolete. So yes, by all means deduce the amount.

But in all honesty, I do think that cutting it down to 8 is a little far fetched. There aren't always people online/around you that you can buy food from. And as a new player, like I am, you may not know where to go to look for food. Or how to acquire it by your own means.

If you're a new player or a landless scrub, or someone who doesn't log on very often, you'd be surprised.

I would say that it should be raised to something like 12, but it should still be low due to the fact of the profession existing. The only defense I would see in this at all not being a good change is for new players, but for everyone that is well accustomed to the map they should know where to go for food. If there is no place for food farmers and cooks will take advantage of this change to make a dime. It's a two way tug and pull. It should stay or be slightly raised before it is reverted back just because of a change.
