New World Wanderers

Brian "Bigboss" Hanresson awoke within his trailer as he normally does, rubbing the sleep from his eyes as he glances about the dim metal construct. It never smelled very good in that rusty piece of junk, but it was home. He glances over to his wife, smiling in her sleep as she often did these days. Why wouldn't she, after all? They had everything they needed to survive. Though, Brian always hungered for more. He stands, moving to dress in his finest suit as he steps out onto the barren ground, sun glaring into his tired eyes. He looks about the large camp of trailers, buses, and tents, smiling at his handiwork. With that, he cracks his knuckles, placing a hand on his 9mm as he walks deeper into the camp, ready to start another day.

In the recent years after the war, Brian had often made trips to both smaller cities, and places such as Chicago or the nearby Fort Wayne. He gathered as many weapons as he could from Wayne, and as many people as he could from Chicago and the nearby towns. He had pooled them together with the promise of motor transport and fair leadership, as he held the greatest force of motor vehicles in the known area. As he climbed aboard one of the buses he had his men outfit with flamers, he gazed down to the assorted people which gathered.

"My fellow Wanderers. We stand now, in the light of another brilliant day. Another day where we look down upon those not with us, and their petty lives! Do they have such quick transport as we do?! Do they hold all the armaments we do?! Do they hold enough food and drink to support armies?! No! This is the reason we must continue our conquest, and become the greatest and most prosperous group in the wastes!" The group cheers as he descends to the ground, lighting up a cigar as he makes way to his own Humvee, which pulls his trailer home behind. He climbs aboard, motioning for his guard to start it up as he gazes out the window, giving out orders as they drive off.

Actions:

-Entire group packs their camp and moves north, see map. ((Mod Needed))

1O7OgoX.png

-Upon passing any towns or homes, they would take anything useful they find, including food, weapons, try to recruit people if found. Moving slowly. ((Mod required for results.))

-During nights, all raiders would train in hand-to-hand combat and weapon accuracy. ((Mod required for results.))

-During nights, raider engineers attempt to check over and fix/improve all flamers. ((Mod required for results.))

Wanderers Forces:

25 Buses: Armed with 4 flamers each, 2 on each side. Also acts as a troop carrier when moving. Troops fill the inside, and cover the modified top. The tops of each bus are covered in handholds and seats for extra transport capability.

FOT Bus

30 Buggies: Scrapped together out of spare parts and old engines, they carry 2 people each, one for use as a driver, the passenger used as a gunner. Passenger is armed with an Assault Rifle for use in battle.

Buggy render

2500 Raiders: Armed with various bandit gears and combat armor, they hold Hunting Rifles, Shotguns, and Assault rifles in varied numbers. Many will grab hold of the buses when moving, but many merely walk behind, the vehicles moving slowly to accompany them.

30 Elite Raiders: Used as the Bigboss' personal guard, they are armed with either an Assault Rifle, or a Scoped Hunting Rifle. They wear goggles and hoods, with 10mm sidearms. They wear combat armor for all but their heads.

The Holy Kingdom of Harvard and The Archbishopric of Boston

RfH2l9N.png

The sixteen year old boy kneeled before a man outfitted in white and green, with a gold cross dangling on his neck. The whole congregation, gathered in The Cathedral of the Holy Cross, took a short breath as the crown was lowered onto the boy's head. The many colors, of the historical armies of the Bruins, Red Sox, Patriots, and Celtics, in the crown's metal shimmered in the light. Soren Menino-Murphy, 1st of his Name, King of Harvard, Duke of Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and the Cape, Count of Suffolk, Essex, Boston, and Baron of Castle Island, South Boston, Harvard-Palace, and the Prudential, rose from his knees. The Congregation shouted "FOR CROWN AND CROSS!" and erupted into cheers.

~*~

King Soren met with his privy soon after his coronation. The young boy would have to continue and solidify his father's conquests. The Count of Gillete, Tom Bilicheck, the Marshal of Harvard, raised a fair point. "We must continue the expansions, if we do not grow larger the Heathens in Maine will surely invade further into New Hampshire." The Lord-Steward, Doc Rivers, retorded, "We can't invest all of our money into funding settlers. The loss of life and possible raiders from the Stolen Vineyard would only outweigh any profit made from these ventures." The council began to bicker until the young King interjected, "We will expand into New Hampshire and try to secure the rest of Massachusetts. We need to keep an eye on those raiders from Maine but if they are content with Martha's  Vineyard and the Cape Islands let them have them. We will build an empire across New England to rival that of the New England Patriots!" The council nodded, those in dissent kept their mouths shut.

~*~
Actions

-The classes of feudal society are solidified. Serfs are herded into newly erected villages, while the land owners began construction on their homes.

-A large number of nobles and any serfs deemed to have some form of higher intelligence are set to work in the castle of MIT, to produce a new brand of android that will act as a hive mind. This will be an attempt to stop defectors and keep the self-thought of the army down. Causing for less money being sent into tracking down escapees.

-Androids and humans are sent out in two groups of 10,000 humans and 5,000 androids to erect new settlements and holdings in new lands (marked on the map).

-A ship, of 10 men and 30 androids, is sent out into the sea to try and find the fabled city of Rome, the seat of the Pope. Their findings will hopefully give light into the state of the universal church. A broadcast is attempted, trying to contact any faithful Catholics on the coasts.

The Republic of Euron

The colonial council was streaming into the capital, what was once Naples. Nowadays the city is very different, having mostly been destroyed in the great war. The European refugees had rebuilt it, mainly using their own architecture styles. You could see quaint Dutch houses, sprawling French manors, German huts, and a riot of others. Enclosed with a wooden palisade, the city is small but well run. The streets were cobbled, and merchants lines them in their various booths. Almost like an ancient medieval city, New Naples is the Republic's pride and joy. Their harbors are usually full, with far flung merchants, their personal navy, and various fishing fleets. Barracks hold the Republican Guard, a make up of various men and women from all walks of life. They have a standard uniform, resembling English line soilders from world war one. Their weapons are a different case, as it's much harder to find. The colonial dragoons are the elite troops, all mounted on horse. They have sabers and carbines, and can fight mounted or on foot with equal skill.

The senators are escorted with honor guards of Dragoons, going to the heart of New Naples. Their reason to hold a session and travel from their various towns was simple. The need for new land was imminent, as the population was booming. Refugees from Europe and northern Florida stream in, and the first few generations of the Republic are growing up. But the Republic is divided into three distinct political parties. Holding the majority of the seats and power is the 'Old Guard'. Men and women entrenched in the ways of the land they had fled from. They wish to preserve the European way, and even spread it. Their argument was to head north, to take northern Florida. The 'Merchants' were exactly what they called themselves. They wanted to establish colonies elsewhere, to win over more trade routes. The last and smallest group is the 'New Blood'. Generations that have recently grown up and entered the political life. Their main wish was to develop the land, and improve what they already have.

After a three week session, the Old Guard finally won out. They got the other two parties to agree to fund a military campaign. Along with that, they would endorse a northern march, and join in with them. Some colonial towns and forts refused to send their militia, as was their right. All together however, some thousand dragoons, two thousand regulars, and four thousand militiamen are called to arms. Their mission would be to head north, spread out evenly in three groups. Keeping close enough to support each other, they would methodically clear the unknown land. Their plan was to consolidate the west coast, and the middle of Florida. Local trappers are hired into the army, to lead the men through the swamps and marshes. (Mod Please)

In Domestic affairs, things begin to look tight. The supplies to fund this army are crated north with them, and they were many. Wagons carrying the harvest and fish, spare weapons, camp followers, and all sorts of materials an army needs are taken. The New Bloods are outraged, and hold back a third of the materials their local colonies and trade post hold. This is instead spread throughout the Republic, to help it recover. The Old Guard and Merchants converge their wealth, to begin to drain swamps and marshes. This drained land would be converted to agriculture, to help feed the Republic. The west coast sends out trade ships, plying the southern American coast for potential factions or nations to trade with. (Mod/New Orleans Please)

NEW ALASKA

General L. Chase receives the returning scouts in the bridge of the USS Ironside for debriefing. She hears of how they were first met by the Cossacks with contention and worry, but thawed relations quickly. Understandably, she is surprised to hear of a Russian group of such numbers within the Americas, but quickly realizes that in the current world nothing is impossible - the giant green mutants laying dead outside her walls clutching spent Gatling lasers in their cold, dead hands are testament to that fact. She gives a short prayer to God thanking him for this chance to finally work towards ending the animosity between the US and Russians. All it took was the end of the world.

Penning her reply, she agrees to the Cossack's terms. She orders a VB-02 Vertibird to be loaded up with an ambassadorial team of 1 commander and 9 well-armed trained soldiers to aid the Cossacks in their efforts, as well as to speedily deliver the signed treaty. These men will become part of the Cossack hosts' forces.

NEW ALASKA IS NOW ALLIED WITH THE COSSACK HOST

Actions:

1. New Alaskan forces begin to work on setting up a radio transmitter in order to broadcast a signal on old US emergency frequencies. Groups of scavengers are sent out to nearby unsettled regions to search for these parts, as well as weapons and ammunition. ((mod))

Only a few weeks after his first encounter with New Alaska, another advisor entered Gleb’s tent, the advisor tells him of an attack in the colony of Slantsy. The advisor brought with him a letter from Miroslav, the man in charge down south. The letter spoke of the attack, detailing fifty mutants charging towards Slantsy with pistols and axes, the mutants firing as soon as they saw them. A bit of the third regiment were killed mercilessly, though the mutants were wiped out soon after. Gleb immediately ordered the newly received Vertibird and troops down south to replace the lost troops.

Regiment 3: 1000

480: 10mm pistol, on foot

212: BB guns, on foot

100: Hunting rifle, on foot

-16 Spears, clubs, sledgehammers, and knives

-1 Chinese and American sniper rifles

+1 VB-02 Vertibird and crew

Down south in Slantsy had been clear of outsiders until the recent attack, the main happenings were old buildings collapsing and super mutant or ghoul attacks. Miroslav worried for himself mostly, though he remembered the duties he was given by Gleb. He ordered three-fourths of the regiment guarding Slantsy to go guard the borders, and the remaining fourth to guard the largely populated area within Slantsy, which included his own home.

The general of the third regiment would forward the orders to his troops, though sending a few troops to explore where the mutant forces might have come from. One of the commanders in the regiment went against orders, forwarding troops south to find out where those mutants may have come from. Sending fifty troops to explore south of the colony.

8: BB guns, on foot

Oakland Raiders

The Great Khan sits on his balcony on a quiet afternoon from one of the largest Hotels in both cities, he can see it all from there as goes over old maps with a ever so slight cool breeze. Khan takes a sip from his whisky glass, thinking on a plan of action and in particular, the sustainability of his population. There were no citizens of the Oakland Raiders, only Slaves and Warriors.

Something needed to be done about this and it will be done, first The Great Khan declared that one of many battles shall take place, "The Battle of Land" was the first. The battle of land involved clearing the buildings and streets, repairing said buildings, introducing nearby water pipes so residents may have easy access to clean drinking water and setting up suitable farms nearby so any of settle in them may be able to produce their own food.

Next we are to find suitable residents to live in these areas, possibly from nearby unclaimed territory.
If this all goes swimmingly the Oakland Raiders should be on their way to some kind of self sufficient state.

Oakland Raider Population

20,000  Raiders - Humans / Ghouls
5,000 Slaves

Actions

1. "Battle of Land" takes place using an addition 1,000 slaves to the 1,000 slaves already working to improve basic infrastructure, this will help everything move along quicker. ( Mod need to see how it turns out. )

2. An additional 9,000 Raiders shall attempt to conquer the territories that were previously being scouted, assuming that the reports have arrived in already of what is located in each county. If any settlements are within those territories, the less drug addled raiders will attempt to offer them a better place to live in. ( Mod needed.)

3. 2,000 slaves will attempt to scavenge the owned territories, under supervision of Raiders. ( Mod needed.)

The Orlean Confederacion

Wwxkaz4v8KxcqGBA34pBBtwJmikVfffqd7HzGd94

“Union, Justice et Confiance”

The Orlean Confederation is a Federative Republic of several towns in the old state of Louisiana and Alabama, the Federative Towns are; New Orleans (The Capital), Baton Rouge, Lafayette and Gulfport. Each elect an Archon and each one come to the capital city to act as the governing body. A Archon-General is also elected, he has the power to veto any bill that the other Archons may want to pass.

The Orlean Confederation was first created by François de La Plagne, a Francophone Vault Dweller. After the Vaults opened François was the Overseer of the vault, after plenty of wandering around he and his people settled in New Orleans and formed the Orlean confederation. Soon after many survivors went to establish a better life in New Orleans, since it was relatively safer than the radioactive swamps that cover most of the state, most of them however were french speaking men and women, making the prominent language Louisiana French, followed closely by English. After the influx of civilians the City State expanded its influence incorporating more town into it’s republic.

After the establishment of the republic, the Confederation started taking a more mercantile route, taxing anyone that doesn’t have a license to cross the mississippi river.

Action

Archon-General Thierry Johnson has been newly elected, a merchant by trade the Archon decides it is best to start building a trading fleet for the Republic.

hCG-xMGwPzV7gZElcYgNVfQ4rY5tufBYFzjKcde-

Mostly built with wood from the vast swamps (some of which dried up after the nukes fell) and some scrap steel. ((Mod Needed on how it would go/how much time it would take)).

The Archon-General also seemed fit to raise a militia of 5.000 soldiers. Armed with Hunting Rifles and Colt 10mms, although some men may prefer to use other weapons like the standard shotgun or a magnum instead of the 10mms that is also allowed.

By the order of the Archons in the council, trade requests are sent to the Smithsonian Republic, The Lone Star Republic and the Kingdom of Harvard.

                                                          Exploration Mappy.png

Scouts are also sent to those counties to scout out possible independent towns and important locations like military bases and electric power plants. ((Mod needed)).

MOD POST

NEW WORLD WANDERERS:

Night training goes well; the wanderers grow more proficient in their hand-to-hand combat and weapon accuracy. They will be well-prepared for the raiding season.

As the wanderers migrate northwards, they would manage to find a couple of Super Duper marts, allowing them to take such supplies as duct tape, canned beans, a bit of motor oil, and a number of gallons of clean water.  However, this leads to an encounter with a small pack of their fellow raiders, who also wish for possession of these valuable supplies! Though they're soon fended off by the wanderer's vehicles and superior numbers, two buses would have been damaged in the attack, and one would have permanently been put out of commission.

Repair attempts are at a standstill; the raider engineers, for reasons unknown, are unable to fix most of them. Perhaps they should try to kidnap an engineer who might know more on the subject from a nearby nation...?

THE LONE STAR REPUBLIC:

As the Texans move northwards, their soldiers would be well practiced in their combat skills. They would run into heavy resistance from some of the tribes, which would subsequently be wiped out by the Texans with their more advanced weaponry. In an abandoned barnyard, the Texans would also find a rotting cropduster. However, it still has all of it's components... perhaps with some repairing and research, the plane could be a viable scouting tool for the rangers?

The tribals southern counties being explored, having heard of this, quickly begin to worship the "firestick gods", and present the invaders with gifts in a very friendly manner, hoping that they won't be eradicated! These gifts include a number of fine brahmin, and some specimens of herbs that might do well to make better medicines back home with some reasearch...

NEW ALASKA:

All goes according to plan in New Alaska, although there is talk of a somewhat potent tribe of Eskimos to the North who are interested in trading what they claim to be some rather powerful scavenged items with either they or the Cossacks...

The Alaskans would also succeed in repairing a radio tower on the outskirts of Anchorage. As they broadcast their message, they would also receive one...

"Hello? Hello? Yeah... hey... if anyone's out there, this is Jack Milton. Brush pilot. I really could use a hand out here. I've been in an airplane crash, if anyone knows what that is... heh... And I've appeared to have angered the Eskimos somehow with my presence... If anyone finds this, I sure would appreciate some help! I'll make it worth your while, I swear! Please!"

The broadcast appears to be coming near the center of Yukon-Koyukuk, near the center of Alaska...

KNIK COSSACK HOST:

As the Russians expand northwards, they would see little but desolation and nuclear fallout ash snow. The winter is bitter and harsh, but luckily, the cossacks are very used to this by now. They would find some valuable supplies  such as duct tape, sheet metal, some fresh water, canned food and the likes in a couple of super duper marts in some abandoned towns, and would also see some grim graffiti signs and the likes scattered around the area. All in all, a grizzly sight...

As they expand southwards, in the meantime, they would find some fertile Brahmin grazing land, a few herders/caravans, and wastes about the explored areas, except for in Douglass County. In it, they find the town of Waterville and it's influenced cities and towns! The Watervillians warmly welcome the Russians into their city, though they're watched very carefully by their militia in case they try something funny, and invite them to a feast of roast squirrels and brahmin! The town leader, Hank Jefferies, would talk with the expedition leader. He speaks of a deadly HEV virus being spread by the mutants to the south, and claims that they may have their sights on Douglass itself. They plead for help from the Russians, in hopes that they might be able to help Douglass and the surrounding Washington counties fend off the mutant menace, should they attempt to move into Douglass.

To note, they also receive the following message via one of their radios from the ancient vault:

"Hello? Hello? Yeah... hey... if anyone's out there, this is Jack Milton. Brush pilot. I really could use a hand out here. I've been in an airplane crash, if anyone knows what that is... heh... And I've appeared to have angered the Eskimos somehow with my presence... If anyone finds this, I sure would appreciate some help! I'll make it worth your while, I swear! Please!"

No doubt, the Alaskans have received it as well... will you intervene and try to save the man, or leave it to your newfound allies?

SMITHSONIA:

As the Smithsonians move northwards, it would be oddly quiet... Strange. They move into the counties almost without contest.

In the south, they would discover yet another military base in one of the counties they're exploring! More weapons, combat armor, and the likes! Woo! The rest of the explored land is just some fertile farmland and grazing grounds that could be put to use, and some wasteland.

NORTH AMERICAN IMPERIUM:

The NAI's expedition into Detroit would reveal that there is a number of car factories and the likes within the city, as well as a number of potent weapons caches and the likes. Capturing the city would be lavishly rewarding indeed.

However, there are quite a few tribals and mutants who inhabit Detroit and it's outskirts. The military would either have to negotiate with the tribals to cooperatively launch an invasion of the mutant stronghold, or they would have to launch a full-out offensive on Detroit in order to capture it. Those are the only options at the moment, it seems...

((If anyone else needs mod action, PM me if east coast or Cracker if west coast and we'll tell you what you get out of them. Just too much to cover in one post, lol.))

New World Wanderers

burning-bus.jpg

Brian looks over the flaming wreck of the Warbus, lips formed into a snarl as he looks back to the rest of his men and the wounded bus, which they diligently hook up to two buggies to be towed. "Which of you chuckleheads let the flamer tank get hit? How even? It's behind armor for a reason people!" he calls out, a young raider no older than his early teens then being pushed out of the crowd, falling to his soot covered knees in front of the Bigboss. "I.. I was the only survivor.. the one who done it was killed.." Brian would look over the boy, then to the destroyed bus, letting out a sigh as he reaches into his blue striped jacket. He removes the pristine 10mm pistol, lowering it to the boys forehead as he pulls the trigger, killing the boy instantly. "I don't take failure lightly, boys. Now we gotta find an engineer who can fix these damn things.. Let's move." he calls to the gathered crowd, merely giving another glance toward the fallen boy, fear his final, plastered expression.

Actions:

-Bigboss orders that a group of 100 raiders be trained with Scoped Hunting Rifles and stealth tactics, for use in a future mission.

-Bigboss orders 5 buggies to be quieted with cloth and mufflers, trying to create a more stealthy buggy. They are then coated in dark cloth with grass stains, with small holes for the driver.

-Nothing is salvaged from the destroyed Bus, though the damaged bus is dragged along behind 2 buggies, the engine damaged.

-Bigboss orders scouting parties of 2 buggies each be sent to the following areas, as the rest of the group sets up camp. The scouts are given orders to observe, not engage, and pick up any easy gear they find on the way.

((Base in blue, scout paths in red.))
