A Dwarf's Honor is More Important than his Life

Dwarves mourned their losses from recent bandit attacks, overwhelmed by the fact that their life savings was taken away from them within a single day by those who outnumber them 3 to 1.  Though they rejoiced in the fact that they lived to see another day, that they gave up what they owned to live. Nothing was being done to stop scum from parading the city!

 

Thorgran Ireheart rested in the tavern, healing from fighting off one of the bandits by himself while others appeased the scum with their goods. He was envisioning what could've happened if his fellow dwarves raised their swords and axes against these bandits. They could've easily turned the tide! It was easier to give in to the seemingly more powerful foe, but Thorgran knew he was raised to fight the power. He finishes his fifth cup of ale and hobbles up to walk out into the square of Kal'Akash, his face red with anger.

 

 

"Wot t'e bloodeh nethah are yeh folks celebratin' about? De fact t'at yeh are still aloive tuh mourn about yer precious mina bein' stolen from yeh? Cut t'at out! Ah fought against de odds tuh defend yeh, me kin, from t'ose who wished tuh du ye all harm... yet ye did not du t'e same tuh me. Ah was challengin' all three ov 'em tuh duels tuh buy ye folks toime tuh armor up an' aid me, but in de corner ov me bloodeh eyes ah saw dwarves tryin' tuh appease de bandits by givin' t'em their possessions in exchange for their loives! Wot would Armakak say tuh yeh if 'e knew yeh traded yer wealth jus' tuh live? Dat is a shitteh trade! Ah say, if yeh would rathah lay down on yer ass an' give bandits yer coin in exchange fer yer loife, ye are less t'an dwarf an' deserve tuh be mocked in public for days! Even if yeh are incapable of killin' t'e damn stark, give 'im a damn ol' sore back fer a week! Foight fer yer honor, dunnae bend tuh de knee ov scum who attack othahs fer a livin'!"

 

Thorgran Ireheart eyes the dwarves who listened to what he had to say, seeing if any even care enough about their honor to respond...
