I'm writing this with such a heavy heart. This honestly feels so surreal. I knew Watyll for years and he was always the nicest guy anyone could have the pleasure of knowing. Whenever we did video calls on Skype I don't think I can reminder a time he wasn't smiling. He was always such a happy go-lucky lad. Watyll was my age and admired the guy. He was a passionate writer and often would mention this book he was composing as a hobby and constantly strived to publish it. He was a brilliant kid and I always knew he'd accomplish his goal and more. I was always excited to read whatever lore or RP posts he would put out and it always blew my mind. He was such a talented writer and he was only a few months younger than me. I admired his work and constantly challenged myself to match his caliber. He knew precisely what words to weave together to invoke goosebumps and establish a connection with characters or portray a scene beautifully. It pains me to hear he passed away. We drifted apart as of late and I kept meaning to attempt to reach out and catch up. I regret not doing so. We'd used to talk constantly, even watch a few shows online together. Our last conversation was so passive and minute. Just an exchange of a few lines of text. I don't think I've regretted something so much in my life before. I won't be able to hear his voice again, his laugh or his jolly remarks that always lifted my spirits. Most of all I won't be able to honor my promise of picking up his beloved book when it finally hit the shelves and being one of the first to read it.

 

 

It pains me to know that I'll never be able to see that Skype notification light up. We won't have our talks or banter or hearing the developments going on with his book. I honestly feels like I've lost a brother, not just a friend.

My heart goes out to his family and I'll be praying for him. Never should a parent have to live to bury their own children. Rest in peace Watyll, I'll never forget you, young Jacob.

 

 

 

P.S. If any of Jacob's close friends or family read this, my deepest condolences. Watyll was such a dear friend and I can only imagine the sorrow you must be filled with at this time. I wish you the best and hope you get through such a dark chapter in your lives.

Words can never describe the emotions and memories Watyll has gifted many of us on the server, whether or not any of us ever met him in real life. It shows how very little distance means when it comes to the bonds of friendship.

 

He has inspired many people, even if he is no longer around in person, he will always be with us in memory. Memories never die.

I have re-written my response and condolences several times but I'm unable to put into words the utter grief I feel right now. I have seen and done a lot with Watyll, as did many of us. From writing lore to smiting folk as Harbingers, and all the while Watyll was just the epitome of happiness. It is always shocking when events like this happen, especially so when it happens to one of the nicest, outgoing people I've had the absolute pleasure of meeting.

 

Lord of the Craft may just be a silly internet game, but sometimes we forget that the people who play it, aren't. We have all lost a very real friend. And I can only hope he has gone to a better place.

 

My deepest condolences to his family. Goodbye, Watyll. You will be missed in presence, but alive in memory.

Never really knew the guy, but he seemed like a great person to be around and had a wonderful creative knack. I pray that his passing was peaceful and his family may find peace.

Broke my heart to hear this... I remember screwing around with him in Asulon on our Halflings. Heck, I remember him trusting me enough to draw his orc character, and I absolutely suck at drawing. What a neat kid. He was one of the brightest minds to grace this server, and it hurts to see him gone. Such a good guy. Hell, look at how many hearts he's touched on a stupid roleplaying server on Minecraft. Imagine how many people he impacted for the good outside of our little community.

Him and I talked Lord of the Rings (he's a wizard in his own respects on how much he knows about it, had such a great memory) a lot back in the day, so I feel it's only fitting to mention this quote:

It was really hard-hitting to learn about this. It feels like only yesterday I was working alongside him.

 

Watyll was both a kind and diligent member of our community, and someone I thoroughly enjoyed talking to. He will be truly missed. May he rest well.
