Morvan sprinted over the slippery, icy slopes of Tyravik, flanked by three of his children. Their feet landed sure as they darted across the the rocky terrain, clad in their lamellar and chain armour. At there backs, each had a distinct round-shield, decorated and pictured with various pigments.

Morvan came crashing to a halt in a snow bank, perching himself on the ledge of a steep cliff. He glanced down at the valley below, a weary smile on his face.

"War is coming, my kiir. We will not flee our home, this time. Let the gods smile down on us!" He'd let out a boisterous laugh, adrenaline pumping through his veins. He felt more alive now than he had for a long time.

 

He began to slam his fist into the large round shield held on his back, his smile growing wider.

 

"TO HALVENGR! FLEYJA SEVLLA! FLEYJA FJARRI!" He'd roar out into the valley below, a rain of spittle flying from his mouth.
