The Hello Man

In the late of night posters are tacked up in cities, on roads, and at the docks. Each one written by an unsteady hand with a rough sketch of a man's face at the bottom.

A warning to all of Vailor!

There is a monster among us! Beware the man with black eyes who says only "Hello."

He may seem friendly or harmless at first but his intentions are only to bring pain!

He is no human. He is no descendant at all, a spook of the most horrific sorts.

If he finds you then he will take you to the Nether, you will listen to the screams of the damned as he follows you.
Running is futile as there is no escape.

Fighting him is futile as he cannot die.

Only once he has caught you, tormented you, and inflicted unmeasurable pain will he send you back.

Perhaps someone is punishing us.

Elvira simply stares at the poster for some time, her mind trying to process what she had just read. Then, the cleric nods with a sigh.

"...Insane and weird... sounds just like a prank or someone wanting to scare people... but if this 'Hello man' really deos exist and is a spook..."

She would glance to her aurum shortsword, where a faint humming sound and specks of light comes from it. "Well.. looks like I have to go and purge it... I'm positive aurum or my light can harm it."

The cleric strides off, likely to get another cleric or two to assist her with this spooky hello man.

Andri'ante reads over the poster - calmly sipping tea in the Fi'ceru inn, her legs crossed as she settled in her usual corner.

It was only when she finished the poster that the tea would clatter from her grasp, smashing to the floor and it's contents pooling around her feet. If one were to witness such, they'd be able to see the usually rather composed and amused aheral slump - her face contorted to one of obvious pain and fear; trembling as she crushes the paper, one simple sentence she utters in a faltering whisper.

"We said Goodbye. Leave me be."

Helio would stride through the subtle night, soon to be taking notice of the poster as he'd ****** it from it's original Place. Twitching once as the inquisitive stare would peer down to swish through the paper's text through his visor, as he would have finished he twitched once more, the distorted tone seeping through the air. "..Hello."

"Now they will have to believe me!" she would mumble as she would take the picture

remembering the time the 'hello man' appeared in her home and decapitated her friend,

She would quickly take here leave mumbling

"There must be some way to stop it, i wont let it hurt any more."

"Hello."

The black-eyed terror was a most mocking, horrific being that finally made itself known to a wild-haired Mali'ame named Alenesae.

At the end of the day, it's most certainly too hard to wind-down after being exposed to the amount of toxic creatures, illusions and visions said 'ame had ran into in just an Elven week. A ridiculous display of nightmarish beings and events. Though, this particular obsidian-orbed illusion was the cherry atop the sundae of Alenesae's terrifying memories. A normal day in Laureh'lin was in progress when, out of the corner of her malachite eyes, Alenesae had acknowledged a disturbing figure that came sauntering over to a group conversing idly within the square.

"Hello."

Blonde with absence in his gaze; the frame of the illusion meandered towards a huddle of Mali whom spoke to each other, as most Elves would in the midday hours. It caught their attention easily, speaking with precision and accuracy, pronouncing such a singular phrase without hesitation or regard for any pending fear. She, the mentioned Mali'ame, was becoming used to these nightmare fuel events; noticing the figure and swiftly climbing up for an elevated place, unfortunately unable to look away from the on-goings that would start just below. Whatever the reason for the appearance of the strange apparition of the man is unknown but Alenesae knew one thing, pried into her mind: that this was going to haunt her as sternly as the other occurrences had.

"Hello."

It spoke mechanically, its rigid, stiff movements matching the notation of its speech. Obviously otherworldly, the empty, vacant-gazed man approached yet another redhead and continued its pursuit of fueling the fear in which it fed off of. Though she didn't seem too fearful, other onlookers demonstrated the typical account of dismay that Alenesae would, atop her perch. Sick of the terrors that kept her awake through the midnight hours, she pressed her eyes shut, muttering to herself in reassurance that this was all an illusion and like the appearance of the apparition of Artimec, it was but an illusion, too. Combat was settled harshly within the square that was crowded by a generous amount of unfortunate witnesses, in which was ended swiftly with the decapitation of the spooky man that unrelentingly worked at plucking the strings of fear that riddled themselves so deeply into the heads of living beings.

"Hello."

The man of mention's reign of horror didn't last too long as a swift strike of piercing iron ripped its head from its shoulders; though this didn't silence the illusion, nor did it stop it from returning from its grim execution. It would only be so quick to return, trailing into the very tavern that Alenesae and an unmentioned Paladin discussed the purpose of why this very being lingered 'round Laureh'lin and how could it be avoided. But this time, it took up a new form. Frizzy, crimson locks strung from the head of an identical twin to Alenesae, causing her mouth to fall agape in bemusement as she locked a most weary, perturbed gaze upon the "Hello Man" whom settled himself upon her mind. With an unsettling 'click' and 'clack' of her bones, the woman shifted her attention from this particular man, only to reassure herself that this was but another unfortunate illusion that crossed her attention.

"Hello. . ."
