"Actually, it can very simply be replace. Forge the crown anew and merely have the High Pontiff bless it. That's all the crown is, plain and simple. It's not as though it was sent down from heaven itself. I'm sure the emperor has dropped one or two down the stairs before."

Artimec swirled his index finger, growing a druidic vine of mistletoe. He put it on top of his head.

"This is the divine crown of the elven people. All of you bow to me. BOW YOU SHITS!"

The Imperial Princess Philippa furrowed her brows, seemingly to ponder about her father's recent stolen crown.

"Does His Imperial Majesty even have a crown he actually cares about?"

"A crown is not just a headdress, it is a symbol of right to rule and spirit of the people they govern. If it is so easy to be replaced, what does that say for the ruler that wears it? What does it say about those that live beneath them and their men?" Abraham spouts off some words between the aching action of turning the page of his book.

"Hm." Ceriwyn de Bar mused in silence over the recent robbery in the Palace of Felsen, taking a large swig from the Richard's Red bottle that was always close at hand in the seat of the County of Drusco, the keep Geldern.
Afternoon light filtered through the central window which held the colors of House Ashford, and that was where the flaxen-haired noblewoman sat, on a finely carved bench of birch wood.

"Olivier de Savoie never wore a true crown though no doubt he owned one, yet somehow.. He was near successful in a genocide of the Raevir noble houses, executing their Lords and their figureheads in the square of Felsen. Not to mention the many years of peace alone, even with the Kingdom of Urguan.
It's a wonder he did all that without a carved bit of blessed metals, but the trust and loyalty of the people who gave it to him, isn't it?
If John Horen is truly the Holy Emperor he claims to be, he'll do just the same with all the Dwarven Lords and commanders. We'll see you on the battlefield soon, Stouts. There we'll see how much your thievery helps you."

"No matter the cost."

The aged Countess then laughed heartily as she sat there alone with her thoughts, high over the fields of Peremont and its growing construction, her dark tone filling the chambers along with the smash of a bottle upon wood.

"Not like he even wears it." mumbles Silus, looking up from a book about administration. "I don't wear my old Ducal crown either... though I could try it on once in a while."

"So the Dwarves of this 'Grand Empire' are naught but thieves. This is not a surprise to me." Says Oz with a cynical eyeroll.

"I hope they enjoy Lord Rothesay's decoy," says John, having buried the real crown somewhere in the Carnatian woodlands years ago in the event of this very circumstance arising.
