Greetings and Farewell Lord of the Craft.

 

It is with this day that I come to you to inform you all that I have from this point stepped down and away from being an administrator and as such will likely be leaving the server in it’s entirety. This is not an easy decision to make after being a member of the community for 5 years, and a staff member for 4 years 1 month of that time. Even in the times were moods were soured and tensions were high I have never lost faith in what we have built. And even though I am leaving i still have faith that even though I am leaving the server will take strides to further progress, evolve and live on. I look forward to seeing the changes and tweaks that come in the days ahead

 

All i have to say is that no matter people’s opinion, the VAT(not the remake) was still the best team to exist, and are still way better than the AT. And to this day was my favorite team to be apart of.

 

To the ADMINs (past and present) i just have to say that it was an honor and privilege to work together and help to improve the server. Even though we have been at odds on some points of server progression we still for the most part did so in as civil a manner as possible. With that being said I just have to lay down a reminder that nostalgia is not the best way to improve or move forward. Sure something that worked in the past and may sound like a good idea now is a good reference to have. However that does not mean said idea / practice is good now, or would work in the future.

 

To the GMs (past and present) I just have to say that it was an honor and privilege to work with you all as well. I know full well the job is not an easy one to do and for the most part is thankless. However I must commend everyone that has / does continue to come back day in and day out to help the community with it’s needs. On a final note here, I just want to add that even though something may cause an outrage / shitstorm stick to your guns. If it is / was the right call then it’s the right call. No matter what you do your not going to please everyone, and will always piss off someone.

Finally to the community.. Some of you guys can be so overly critical of each other that is astounds me. In the end we have to remember that it is another person at the other side of the screen and this is a game. We should be coming together to the server to play, have fun, and also allow others to have fun as well. What shouldn’t happen is the harassment I have seen and dealt with on quite a number of cases. When tempers raise and anger gets the better of you take a step back and walk away from the computer for a bit and compose yourself. There is just about nothing in the community that should back you mad that you viciously attack another member of the server. As I said, we are all here for the same thing, to enjoy our time and have fun.

 

With that all said it is time for me to lay my admin badge down and bow out. It has been a fun ride everyone and thank you for it.
