Bring back Vaq's system! I want to have 100 swords + 100 stealth and be untouchable, or, or, or maybe 100 axes and one shot-crit people through full iron, yes!

 

No for real though, something simple like Vaq's old plugin in concept would in my opinion generally be beneficial to the server. Instead of having all these crazy percentages and weird types of PvP gear, just have the vanilla Minecraft gear be craft-able through some basic Vaq-like profession plugin.

 

Example:

 

Smithing profession, level 10 can make leather, level 25 chain, level 50 Iron, level 75 diamond, etc with a fail percentage in-between that decreases based on maximum level out of say, 100.

 

Mining profession, level 10 can mine this ore, 15 this ore, 20 this ore, etc, etc. 

 

Y'all get the point.

Something simple like that I feel would cater to what majority of the players want, vanilla PvP, while keeping on a sort of 'professions grinding system' that separates LoTC from other servers and gives players something to works towards.

Also, let's add in combat professions so I can have that 100 swords + 100 stealth again ;)

I'm neutral,

 

Skill wipe = more chance for those that are just starting up professions, although very annoying for those that have spent their life getting a very high level.

No wipe = Those that wanted a skill wipe are angry, skills still stay quite unbalanced. 

If I'm honest, this doesn't effect me greatly, I don't actually have that much skill experience.

Please stop making nexus more of a time sink for general creative building. I don't want to have to spend hours gathering matierals only to find out I have to wait an hour to craft a stack of blocks. Then another hour to turn that stack into a variation of that block like chiseled or pillars. 

 

Stop limiting the creativity of players by putting skill walls over basic building materials that serve only decorative purposes. Like banners and plantpots. Signs and building materials, doors and beds. 

 

The nexus plugin doesn't promote creative building. It promotes cobblestone fortresses with nothing to decorate them with. 

 

Not unless you want to time sink for 6+ hours just so you can have a couple of stacks of blocks to build with...

 

Time sinking isn't fun. We have RP for our time sink already,  stop trying to make a new time sink where we don't need it.

Honestly I wouldn't have more full on wipes. At least a wipe every new map or so(Which you know we try to keep maps for a long while before switching).

I'd say to either wipe it completely or do a partial one(those at supercali get the newest max rank which i think will be Aengulic), Illuminated becomes Legendary, Aengulic becomes masterful, etc.), but everyone has their own opinion on this topic

It was good but wasn't as good as everyone makes out like "best in mc" getting the points to max out a skill was Grindy as sht for stuff like sword fighting so you had to just train a bunch of other skills, buy vip and get a gm to transfer them with ur transfer points of w.e. You could also 2 shot with gold axes or something along the lines and bows were pointless. I liked how Balanced the economy was with diamond armour etc. Tho

this is what we were told the skills plugin was gonna be when it was first announced, that it would only give buffs to people who actively put time into the skills and wouldn't restrict anything, on top of adding possibilities for rp and ways for people to show off their niche rp'ing skills

 

i'd call for a partial wipe, seeing as the plugin itself is probably still going to be a pain in the ass, considering it took me nearly three months to get from daemonic to supercal chef using the most efficient xp item chef had.

 

as for the effects of this wipe, scaling everything above adept down to adept, and keeping everyone else where they are now, seems decently reasonable.
