I think Nexus should be removed in favor of another system. I would prefer something much closer to vanilla, that slightly polices recipes to ensure power gaming doesn't even happen. Even if you do keep  nexus, maybe just get rid of a lot of the skills. For example there is no need for basic collecting skills such as farming/mining/logging. Get rid of those skills and instead create a time based leveling system for the few that actually make since (ie; blacksmithing, enchanting, woodworking to some extent.) With a time based system, the skill would increase with however old the Persona is. As long as the Persona got on say every 3 days, than there skills would increase with time. So when I play a persona for 3 months IRL, it'll allow them to have around 12 years of experience in a field, making them a veteran of the craft. And then just make a skill cut off at masterful.

Yea have a fair playing field in 5.0. Grinding will still happen but less of it for a while as nobody will have any resources to actually grind. Do it at 5.0.

Yeah! but only if you wipe the plugin while you're at it. It's a shitty grinding plugin that promotes no RP as Telanir first wanted it to, it failed it's purpose, so remove it.

If there must be a skill system dramatically reduce xp requirements and the number of skill levels obtainable with the appropriate scale down in player xp. Maybe make it something closer to the current five tiers of magic as a vast majority of the current skill levels mean extremely little and just serve to add another 40 or so hours of grinding. It really isn't all that fun to see people grind straight through two months in order to get competitive armor and weapons of which are always of varying quality. Otherwise, I'd like to see Nexus professions removed.

EDIT: A skill wipe isn't going to solve the problems of an inherently broken profession system, though one might serve to provide a fresh coat of paint should a new system be implemented.

As someone who has 6 Aengulic skills and some Masterful - Legendary ones. I am completely for a skill wipe since I believe that with a new map comes a fresh start (Better wipe ******* minas too). Although people will just be aengulic everything within a couple of days since there are various things that give dumb amounts of XP. A fresh start is needed.

How would less of it happen? There'd be far, far more of it as everyone tries to get resources and level back up.
