Zindran 322 Share Posted June 22, 2016 I'll put in my two cents and post on here, first of all, when you say "usually quite fast", you should keep in mind that this is being made with wood and other materials, so the wood would weigh it down a ton, unless you're just using a few planks to connect the wheels to a seat, and even then it might not be secure, and possibly collapse on itself as the user is pedaling. Second, you also need to account for friction. Friction plays a big part with wood and rope(and possibly chains as mentioned in the main post), so with enough effort being put into pedaling this contraption, it could likely burst into flame.
