Shows on the network include those of all genres. Cartoons are shown more frequently in the summer or in the middle of the day, while news, crimes, and sitcoms are shown in the morning and evening. As for commercials, there are only a few advertisements for foreign companies. Although there is a healthy dose of propaganda, promoting peace.

A referendum is taking place to illegalize all non-prescribed drugs. Dietrich and various other officials argue that drugs weaken the mind of the youth, and funding is distributed among numerous rehabilitation centers.

The European Union, a construct of political excellence that sought to replace the devastated European model of the 19th century. A bulwark of democracy in the cold, a bulwark of the true Europa today. The previous Chancellor to the Bundestag had initiated a great political movement within the European governments of the Union; one of gradual federalization and unity.

 

For many decades had the European Union the ability to gradually transform towards an unified, singular state. But the EU and its German pioneers, were not there just yet. Waves of nationalism were lowkey gaining ground, as Portugal was at the brink of leaving the Union. Power had to be consolidated, and fast, but the closest nations to Germany and the Balkans were relatively under a stable grasp.

With current legislation in place, the mostly-German bureaucrats wielded the real power over the many Republics.  President of the European Commission, or simply the President of the European Union, was now the de facto head of state. Despite the Union only wielding actual power in Germany, its intent to enlarge its direct authority became more apparent, with each year:

3- ' The European Goliath Act: Uniting the Central Banks under a streamlined organ with the similar autonomous and democratic functionality of before, but then under the umbrella of the Central Bank of Europe, with the national central banks as branches.

4-' The European Economic  Diplomacy Act: Trade & Financial deals of member states are handled by the branches of the Central Bank of Europe Respectively.  A Croatian deal would be handled by the Croatian Branch of the Central Bank of Europe. 

5-' The European Deficit Elimination Act: Requiring EU approval over fiscal policy and the usage of the nation's budget.

6-' The European Fiscal Efficiency Act: Reducing the size of the EU economic model by centralizing economic policy around the Central Bank of Europe and its branches, making parliamentary members more facultative to the economic experts of the EU.

7-' The European Defense Act:The unification of NATO high Command with that of the Unified European Forces, integrating NATO into the European Union, loosening it from the United States. 

8-'The European Military Budget Allocation Act: Allowing the financial institutions of the EU to enforce an allocation of a certain amount of funds to the military budget of the Unified Army.  

9-'The Final Centralized Institutional Act: Formally establishing the Central of Bank of Europe, with its respective branches, and the Unified Military as official economic & military institutions of the European Union; overlapping anything on a national scale.

This gradual transition and passing of laws would be a set end of the EU parlaiment, but member states of the EU could bypass that by appealing for a Sovereign Member that is not under the jurisdiction of the legislative organs of the EU; but still would enjoy its free market and military protection. Domestic Governance 

 

The Kingdom of Thailand has had its Democracy Suspended and ruled by Military Junta loyal to the King Rama IX of Thailand, with the Junta still firmly in power with its leaders following the direction of the King who has held much sway over the Thai Military ever since his ascension to the Throne of Thailand. Despite this the people of Thailand generally get on with their days, going to work and living relatively normal lives for the reason save for the few who still actively oppose the Junta. There were voices to restore nominal Democracy but by now most had died down as day to day life had not been severely effected in the Country.

 

 

King Rama and the Military decided it was the best time to put into action policies to modernize various aspects of the infrastructure in Thailand. Putting forth many construction projects around the Country, to allow roads to connect around the entire Country, to modernize the Railways of Thailand that had claimed many lives of citizens and tourists through accidents. The King believing that a crackdown on corruption within the Government and the Military being necessary so that he may put his nations infrastructure on par with other Asian Countries in the region such as South Korea and Japan.

 

Diplomatic Policies

 

The Kingdom of Thailand would reach out to Countries within Asia to look to develop ties of trade and friendship with many of the Countries that neighbor it and those that are across the Ocean. Thailand would also reach out to Countries around Oceania.

 

The Kingdom of Thailand reaches out to the nations of Cambodia and Myanmar (Burma), seeking to create an Economic and Defensive Military Union with these two nations that involves a Free Trade Customs Union with the two Countries and a Council of elected representatives that are elected by the people of the respective nations. Seeing the benefits of banding together without losing autonomy with large Countries such as China and India increasingly being seen as encroaching on the Sovereignty of the smaller Countries in Asia. The Kingdom of Thailand would seek to make trade agreements with the Republic of Korea (South Korea) and the State of Japan, seeking investment from the rich companies from both of the respective nations and seeking to make contracts to Japanese and South Korean Companies to help with the project of modernizing the Thai Armed Forces. 

 

The Kingdom of Thailand would seek to establish proper ties of trade with the Commonwealth of Australia, seeking to open both of the Countries up to free trade, looking to further use Thailand industrialized capabilities the King recognizes it needs natural resources and Australia is a world leader in mineral extraction. 

 

Military Development

 

For too long the King and the various leaders within the Thai Military have agreed that the Armed Forces of the Kingdom of Thailand were dated and required modernization so that it could operate effectively in the Modern World. Seeking to contract Japanese and Korean Companies to help modernize the Thai armed forces seeking to replace most if not all the dated equipment and make the majority of the Thai Military fit the modern standards of many Countries in the region and beyond. Seeking new rifles, tanks and other armored vehicles for its Army.

The damage had already been done in the minds of the American people, and though the effort by the astronauts to try to show fair American participation was admirable, it did little to saw the opinion of the average Americans. Most of them saw it for what it was, pandering, and continued to pressure the American government to end diplomatic ties with the Chinese immediately.

The effort to increase the strength of the military was admirable, and it does begin to pay off. Recruitment numbers move up by about 12% per month and physical activity is at 20 year high. 

The meeting with Cape Verde goes over well, and soon talks become focuses on increased integration between the island nation's economy and the Portuguese.

Myanmar is anxious to form such a union to ward off potential threats from any one of its anxious neighbors and as a result immediately takes a seat at the negotiating table to iron out the kinks of such a Union. The Federation of Oceania

 

 

The talks with the other Oceanic nations had gone well. Very well.

 

In fact, the meeting had turned out to be an overwhelming success for Australia. Out of a need for closer diplomatic, economic, and military ties, the nations of Oceania had convinced in Perth to discuss the formation of a Federation of Pacific States lead by Australia. And so out of these talks, The Federation of Oceania was formed by the nations of Oceania, a federal collection of nations to be lead by Australia. To share a common Federal Army, Navy, and currency, the Federal Riyal, and to promote closer political ties between the nations of Oceania.

 

These nations included The Marshal Islands, Kiribati, Tuvalu, Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea, Micronesia, Nauru, and of course Australia's long-time ally and sister, New Zealand. Almost immediately following the signing of the Federation's charter, Fiji, Samoa, Palau, and East Timor applied for membership in the new Federation, and were accepted almost on the spot.

 

The Prime Minister of Australia was to serve as the Chancellor of the new Federation, Chairman of the Council of Leaders. The two positions were to be tied together, as Australia was and would remain the indisputably dominant nation in the Federation. The Federation would have a legislature consisting of a House of Commons and a Senate, much like the Australian system of governance, but it's heads of state would make up the executive council, lead of course by the Chancellor, who had the final say in federal actions. It's headquarters would be located in Sydney, Australia.

 

All previous deals other nations have made with Australia are to be carried over into the new Federation, and are to be considered valid still.

The Federal Riyal, as a stipulation of New Zealand's entrance into the organization, had been devaluated in a controlled manner, in hopes of promoting more exports from Oceania to other parts of the globe. And the plan had been a success. Although the Riyal had taken a dip on the global market, it soon took a sharp increase in value as exports from Oceania began to increase, bringing prosperity to it's member nations.

 

The intervention in Brazil had been canceled, the Australian task force returning to it's home port.

 

Resettlement goes well in the Northern Outback, the islander towns thriving due to the economic boom that's come to the Federation.

 

Work begins on the creation of a federal military. Each country would be responsible for raising their own armies and soldiers, but they would all be part of the federal system, and would share a common hierarchy and ranking system with the Federation. With the new member states, the Chancellor of the Oceanic Federation sets a goal to recruit a further 180,000 men to the Federal Army from across the Federation over the next 2 years, defense still remaining Abbott's top priority.

The Chinese show much interest in trade deals who send them.

China also sends out several submarines to scout out drilling locations and sends the data to Australia

After a proud presentation to the Dutch minister of defence by the admirals of the Dutch Navy, the newly completed designs for the new frigate have been fully authorised. Prime Minister Nakatani looked over the cells which kept the few remaining North Korean leadership who awaited trial in the coming months for their crimes against humanity. He joins a public service at the largest refugee center in Pyongyang and joins the North Koreans in prayer. His final action on the Korean Peninsula is attending the cremation of Kim Jong-Un and the scattering of his ashes in the Sea of Japan.  Afterwards he leaves for a reclaimed airport and aboard a Japanese private jet sets course for a diplomatic tour firstly to the newly established Federation of Oceania and then to Thailand.

Republic of Ireland

 

Prospering through it's EU membership, the RoI has taken a more nationalist approach. Leader of the INP, Patrick O'Donnell, has vowed to act on the Irish people's needs - the main one, at the moment, being industry. Unemployment rates were only at 9.7%, but for a country of only 4.8 million, that meant upwards of 400,000 potential workers doing nothing. Another problem concerning the workforce of the country, was the rate at which young adults were leaving to study abroad, or filling high demands of employment elsewhere. To combat all this, O'Donnell invests 4 billion euros into county Cork in an attempt to create an industrial backbone for the country. (5 pages)

 

Meanwhile, on the diplomatic scene, the main talk in the RoI is the elusive 'unification of Ireland'. Previously, it was something everyone wanted, but wasn't committed enough to fight for. This time, it would be different. The nationalist government starts a propaganda regime in order to try and stir up emotions on the subject of Northern Ireland, trying to gather enough support to demand a referendum. The government presses the United Kingdom to conduct a poll on whether the populace of the North would like to join the South, in order to see rough demographics. After Brexit, and the recent reoccupation by some 5,000 British soldiers, it is hoped the majority would favor unification with the EU state. The Republic of Ireland reaches out to the EU, hoping to strengthen involvement with the organisation and garner support in the way of funding for the improvement of Ireland's infrastructure. Though tempting, Ireland refuses the idea of a core EU military as they believe that the small Irish Defense Force would not prove much of a contribution, or help. Speaking of, the Irish Defense Force is given a boost of budget, up to 3 billion euros from the original 1.5. A small recruitment campaign starts, consisting mostly of officers going into secondary schools and places of further education, and explaining how the Army could be a viable pathway after finishing school. It is hoped that this small drive would spark an interest in the armed forces, and lead to a slight increase in enlistees. France and Germany are approached for a deal concerning the purchasing of weapons and equipment in order to modernize the Irish Defense Force.

Meanwhile, in Letterkenny...

Letterkenny Paramilitary Meeting, 9:30 PM

 

"Good turnout today, fellas." shouts Niamh O'Dowd, a young shopkeeper, stands on a slightly elevated stage in the crowded Golden Heart Pub. In front of her, thirty-seven rowdy patrons quiet down to listen to her speak. A Catholic woman, she had gained respect and notoriety from her achievements in smuggling small arms and bomb making equipment into the country, from shady exporters who were keen to invest in the unification of Ireland. "The British, as you all undoubtedly know, have brought over 5,000 men to the mainland amid 'rising tensions'. They're bloody right to do so." She pauses, as the owner of the pub locks the front doors and turns the 'Open' sign around to read 'Closed' to passer-bys. "You're all friends of mine, lads and lass's I can trust. Hell, a lot of you are family!" A few cheers pipe up, before Niamh continues, "But more importantly, you all want the same thing. Ireland. One Ireland. We want the British gone, and we will get it." More cheers arouse. She waits for them to calm down.

 

"First off, we need funding. We have contacts in Wales, Scotland, some in England, and some in the US. We're gonna have to send emissaries to rouse support for our cause, in the way of money and arms, mostly the former. Any volunteers, come see me afterwards. I'll brief you and organize things." "Secondly, manpower. Reach out to any cells in Londonderry Derry, see if you can't stir up any flames. But, be discreet, secretive. You get caught trying to recruit, you say you're with the IRA. No one knows about us yet, the Letterkenny Paramilitary doesn't exist, for now we'd like to keep it that way. We aren't only against the Brits, we're against others with the same ideas for the North. We need majority support in the Derry before we start getting serious around the border." (@Pokplz)

 

"Finally, we need friends in high places. See if you can't pay off the Letterkenny Police Force, or find any lost sympathies in the higher-ups. If we want to eventually get armed, we'll need to be able to carry our **** round without getting picked up. We're playing the long game."

 

"Oh, one last thing." Niamh pulls a pistol - an old Webley Revolver - from the back of her waistband. "Any of you f*ckers drop us in it, any of you talk, and any of you give us up, you're a dead man."
