Akello, the Devourer

From the blackened jungles of Asul, this creature rises to prominence.. The natural prey that inhabit this ecosystem slowly disappearing, replaced with a eerie silence that befalls the jungle... With a lack of prey, the predators seem to also be disappearing at a rather alarming rate.. something is happening in the Jungles of Asul.. a King has declared it's reign, and those who are lesser have rallied to his cause.  A single word seems to be circulating of such a creature... Akello.

 

"That brings us forward, ladies and gentlemen.  All of you here are hunters, all of you wish for the hunt, wish to kill, wish to bring down that which has disturbed the balance.  I beseech you all to meet me in the Johannesburg Tavern on ((9/6/2016 6 pm est)).  From there, we will plan our hunt.  We shall have our trophy, and restore balance to this war-torn jungle.  Akello and his pack shall be brought to rear.. and the hunt shall be concluded."

 

A thick mist would slowly rise above the tree-line, a rustling in the leaves as something makes it's way though the thick fauna... A single yellow eye would open, gazing outward upon it's next prey...

Skillset to bring to the hunt: My char can fight decently with a greatsword,but his strength lies in analyzing the opponent in searchof a weakness and using the surroundings or items to exploit it. As a scholar,he has also attained a sizable amount of knowledge about the wildlife.

Reason for wanting to attend: Possibility of learning more about the new species of Axios and their biology.(ICly)

OOCly I just want to enjoy a neat hunting event like the good old bounty hunting days.

Skillset to bring to the hunt: RPly? My character has indepth knowledge with flora and fauna of the land. Tracking, etc. Generally though he isn't a direct fighter but a guide and doctor that'd be needed.

Reason for wanting to attend: I'd like to experience another indepth event having been sometime since I really took part in an event as i've been on an off up until recently. . But generally I wanna have fun like anyone else.

Skillset to bring to the hunt: My character is a very well experienced scout and archer. He can track large and small beasts with ease, and can also find a safe path through treacherous terrain. He is also a decent survivalist and can stabilise major wounds in the field should they arise. 

Reason for wanting to attend: Sounds like decent rp. Haven't been able to join a proper full on event line in a while.

A smaller group of people makes it easier to be more detailed without the chat becoming over encumbering and hard to follow. I can understand why he put a limit as it's easier to manage for him. But also allows him to do multiple events later on instead of doing one big one he can do many smaller ones that are equally as detailed, easier to plan, and easier to manage. Not every event needs to be giant as he is only one ET, and this is the event structure he chose. No?

Skillset to bring to the hunt: I literally kill dragons and turn their hide into armor. I'm probably responsible for more dead dragons than any other player.

Eh, I  agree with @Gucko...

 

The event should play out and not be pre-determined on who gets to engage with it. Honestly, premade RP (imo) is not nearly as fun as stuff that naturally plays out. Also please don't say 'ET are humans too'. Yeah, they are people, but you volunteered for the job and thus doing so, you have to be willing to entertain other people no matter the situation. Events with 20+ people can play out poorly, but honestly, making an application for an event is just unnecessary.

Skillset: Researcher and scholar skilled with blade and bow. Experienced hunter, kills include Spider Queen, Hippgriff, Skaddernacs, Megalodon, Wyverns various other monsters. Extensive understanding of monsters and how they hunt and what effect they have on the surrounding area.

 

Reason for Wishing to attend ((Not sure if you mean ic or occly, so I gave both)): I enjoy hunt rp, and as someone who tends to stick to rp combat such events are more suited to my play style. On top of that its been a bit since I have participated in an event.

 

Rp wise: Study of the creature and its effects on the ecosystem and the flora/fauna in its hunting area. Reducing external threat to local travelers and supply routes.

 

Will you be available at the time of the vent: Yes, I have this week off.

Come on man... I'm one person and fairly new to the job.  I don't want to get into something I can't handle that will spiral out of control with loads of emotes and people
