LT/Community Announcement

Greetings LoTC,

 

So I’ll be starting this thread off with the announcement of who I am and my position on the LT recently, and what I do now: So prior to Ben stepping down from the position of lead LM I was positioned into a managerial role, however, I soon discovered that without Ben I was unable to do much without breaking protocol - I was unable to converse on the LT’s behalf - and it was extremely frustrating. So prior to his departure Ben and I had a lengthy discussion and he believed I would be best suited to obtain the mantle. Then, after a conversation with the Administration and an interview I was promptly given the role of leading the LT. Now, many of you know me as an ex-Administrator, ex-AT lead, and ex-MAT lead. I know many-a-folk are utterly frustrated with the LT in its current state, and believe me, I strive to amend these issues.

 

I worked the AT just after Rhia’s departure into a great state of mind and it was functioning properly and the same goes for the MAT. With the latter, however, I believed it was key to converse with the community and listen to what they want out of us. So, I took it upon myself to warp the MAT into something bigger, and better. Instead of merely handling applications we then shifted onto the role of moderating magic as a whole, providing us with the ability to handle blacklists, so on and so forth without question and having to wait through a myriad of dramatical fights. Just as I aspire to do with the LT now, after Ben having gone to University the LT has been in a steady decline since and an upsurge of feedback threads have been posted in regards to the stagnancy and state of the LT.

 

Let me tell you now, I will be watching and listening closely to your feedback threads. I aspire to work with the community for the betterment and progress of the LT as a whole. I will be picking from an entirely new pool - that said, the newest LMs will stay and the removed will be provided with the opportunity to argue their case in their LM applications. - That said, yes, I will be wiping the slate clean and starting I’ll be rebuilding the blocks to create a better system that the LT can work with, and so can the community; I want to produce a team that will work with the community to aid in the development of their lore, that is connected to the community, and will go through lore with the mindset of not just what the LT would like to see implemented, but what the server would like to see implemented, too.

 

Personally, I would like the community to lay back a bit and be patient to allow me to proceed with my plans for the LT. Things might be a tad slow at the very beginning as I’ll be going through the applicants and creating a myriad of threads to re-work the LT subforum. That said, I have a lot more in mind and expect a few threads out either today/tomorrow for further information and requesting to see what the community would like to see the LT produce.

 

• Cleansing of the team - with the newest additions being an exception, some may remain due to the roles they are producing for the server; large event lines, etcetera. -
• New lead, I.
• Will be reforming the system to adhere to what the community would like, too.
• Will be reading over the LT feedback threads for improvement.

As a fellow LM (Or rather EX-LM till I reapply), I wholeheartedly agree to this. About time we actually got more work put into the LMs.

If I do get back onto the LMs, time to be more serious and hardworking. Still, good luck on leading the LT, Tsu!
