The pain crept from her side to her entire body. Her head throbbed, and even twitching a pinkie sent waves of pain throughout her body.

She was alive, and that was something to be grateful for at least. Attacked in her own home, unarmed and simply wishing to go to her workplace at the tavern. She blinked, prying open her achingly heavy eyelids after. Sleep, or perhaps death, beckoned her in a sweet tone, but she still fought.

Meriel, the half goblin who considered Linandria her home, stared up at the branches that helped support her home’s roof. For the first time in years she longed for her home in Vailor, a large tree that she shared with a boy a few years older. She wished she could turn back time, back to when everyone thought she was an elf and just that. Not an orc, not a beast worthy of death.

An elf. A neighbor. A citizen.

Her legs twitched, and pain shot throughout her body. Her blood soaked dress crunched when she sat up, mouth opening and lips pulling back as her vision was clouded with white dots. Still she pressed on, stumbling towards the green tinted window. Outside the stars shone between the thick clouds.

What had she done wrong? She had made it out of the trial, and besides a few incidents never hurt anyone in the city. She had learned of the aspects, became a faithful worshipper. She forced her vocal cords to produce a few ancient elven words, picking up more as she listened to those around her. She had become infertile, and would someday convince her daughter to do the same.

But still she was hated, attacked in the square. She could still see his pale eyes glaring into hers, she could see him when she closed her eyes, see a blade sticking from her side when she looked down.

Unarmed. On her way to work. Wondering if she would have to clean up any vomit that night. Unarmed... Defenseless. Please don’t let me die…

The thoughts jumbled together, and she tore her gaze from the window. Pain shot throughout her body once more, bringing out a sharp gasp. Unarmed. Defenseless. Even though Leo had insisted on saving her, it was obvious Linandria had never been her home. She would never belong, no matter what she did.

Where did she belong, if not with elves?

Aelthus Aureon looks down upon the scene from wherever those who die go with immense distaste. "Oh sweet Meri, how times have changed." He mutters thinking of the past, of the small Elvish girl who had proclaimed to him that she was off to live in the forests like she had before. How he had given it no thought. How a girl so loved now became so hated by select few who were so incredibly vocal. "I should have done her a kindness and taken Damai with me before I left this mortal world." He speaks as a final comment on the matter, his attention being demanded by his sister Fawynn who would undoubtedly lead him into another prank.

Khiara Aureon cowers in the basement of the Aureon Manor. Having received bits and pieces of what had transpired, she dare not go upstairs for many hours. She eventually falls asleep in the grass next to the spring fed pool there from exhaustion.

Kairn Calithil fingers bitten shoulder, mumbling. "I have avenged Aelthus and Lindrael."

"..What a mess," Aenor would murmur, idly wiping the blood off of the tip of his spear with a small rag as he glances around at the aftermath of the brief scuffle.

The Male mali'ame would just stare at the sight, pinching the bridge of his nose. The brief sigh of disblief of what the people have done.

"We have derailed ourselves as the most peaceful. We have now become no better than any killer on the street..."

Azuline finishes grinding up the last of her herbs before the next time she could harvest, and sighs. She places the powder into a thick leather pouch adding a few other herbs to the mix. Once she was done, she headed out to the Aureon's manor with a solution to the pain she knew Meri would be in.

Koralon walked pasted the two houses in Urguan where the around thirty Elgus lived. She passed a faint smile, knowing there probably is place for more, in the pantry or on top of the cupboard.

A young wood elf would wonder into the tavern, seeing no one there, he would grab a mug and steal a drink before sliding into one of the seats. His figure was slouched onto the counter with his left forearm resting on it and supporting his body. Muttering a few words before he raised the mug to his lips and took a sip. His ear twitched slightly, and his head tilted to his side and he looked over his shoulder to his surroundings, as if he's looking for someone to talk to. "It really feels quiet and lonely here..." he muttered before he raised the mug to his lips once more.

Leo sat in the manor, his sisters blood stained upon his hand. He looked at his gauntlets that layed upon the table in front of him, his eyes blank. Soon enough his fist form into tight balls and his eyes grow full of anger, "I have already lost one of my kin, i'll be damned if I lose another. Be it half goblin or not, she is still Aureon. . ." his voice full of anger. He would rise from his seat at his table and makes his way to his bed, ploping down and getting ready to rest. He cared not for the blood upon his body as he slumbered.
